Jeanie Buss Calls Out LeBron Fan For Online Harrassment

Jeanie Buss is always dealing with a lot as the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers. Overall, she is the one who must make massive decisions about the team. Moreover, this is doubly hard as her father turned the Lakers into a legendary franchise. She has massive shoes to fill, and it hasn’t always been easy. Although the team won a title in 2020, they have been some difficult seasons. For instance, the Russell Westbrook years were not kind to the team. These last couple of seasons have led to lots of criticism, and much of it has been directed toward Buss.

Unfortunately, some of this criticism has turned into straight-up harassment. Some people are constantly stocking Buss on social media so that they can get their hot takes off. Additionally, some people think it is a good idea to try and play GM in her DMs as if she is going to listen to them. One LeBron fan, however, got her attention. In the tweet below, @BronGotGame wrote “Jeanie Buss replied to my dm’s and I was just thanking her & Pelinka for the trades that went down, be thankful lady.” As you can see, Buss had a firm response to the fan, which is what prompted this public callout.

Jeanie Buss Reacts

Buss became aware of the tweet and came through with some receipts. She showed old DMs from back in November in which the fan called her “the worst owner in sports.” Needless to say, Buss was upset and wanted to set the record straight. “Here is an example of the harassing messages,” she wrote. “As I’ve said on this platform before, everyone is entitled to their opinion so I am not arguing about that. Its just that I don’t want my DM’s to be full of your pretend GM BS trade suggestions that’s all.”

Overall, you can’t help but feel for Buss here. Plenty of NBA fans are extremely toxic, especially in relation to the Lakers. However, she could probably be spending her time a lot more efficiently than beefing with a dude named LeBronchitis. Either way, hopefully, fans start to get the message.
