Users on social media believe that Hailey Bieber threw shade at Selena Gomez on Instagram with one of her recent posts. The model reshared a post to her Instagram Story by her beauty company, Rhode Skin, which was set to the song “Calm Down” by Rema. The song has a popular version that features Gomez, but the post notably didn’t include that remix.
Gomez famously dated Justin Bieber shortly before his relationship with Hailey. The two got engaged in July 2018, just a few short months after Justin’s final breakup with Gomez.

“I need Selena to use Obsessed by Mariah in the next TikTok,” one fan responded to Hailey’s video. Another wrote: “Selena I think this is enough to get a protective order at this point.” Possibly in response to all the drama, Gomez announced that she’s taking a break from social media during a TikTok Live on Thursday. “I’m very happy. I’m so blessed. I have the best friends, the best fans in the whole world and I just couldn’t be happier. I’m good,” Goimez began. “I love the way I am I don’t care, I’m big, I’m not, I don’t care. I love who I am. And yeah, I’m gonna be taking a second from social media, because this is a little silly, and I’m 30, I’m too old for this, so…but I love you guys so much! And I will see you guys sooner than later, I just… I’m just gonna just take a break from everything.”
Hailey previously downplayed the idea of there being beef between her and Gomez. Appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast, she explained that it’s “all love.” “It’s all respect. It’s all love. … Neither of us owe anybody anything except respect. I respect her a lot, and I think there are no expectations [between us]. I respect her,” the model said on the show. Everybody on our side knows what happened, and we’re good, and we can walk away from it with clarity and respect.”
