Fans Argue That Doechii Should Have Gotten “America Has A Problem” Remix

Doechii has had a meteoric rise to fame. After self-releasing an EP in 2019, she dropped her label debut, Oh The Places You’ll Go in November 2020. The Florida rapper’s fame rose when “Yucky Blucky Fruitcase” took off on TikTok. After another self-released EP in 2021, Doechii dropped She/Her/Black Bitch in 2022. She also released “Crazy”, which came with a provocative music video and a spot on the Madden 23 soundtrack. Furthermore, Doechii’s first charting hit came earlier this year with “What It Is (Block Boy) ft. Kodak Black”. The song peaked at #98.

Meanwhile, Beyoncé is currently in the United Kingdom for the next two stops of her Reinassance World Tour. But despite being on tour, Queen B is still finding ways to surprise fans. On May 19, she dropped a surprise remix of “America Has A Problem” featuring Kendrick Lamar. While reception has been positive, there is someone else fans would have wanted to see get the remix.

Fans Uplift Doechii Remix

On March 4, Doechii posted a 75-second video to her TikTok account in which she performed a freestyle remix of “America Has A Problem”. In the wake of the official Kendrick Lamar offering, fans have dug up Doechii version as evidence of why she should have been given the remix honors. Before we get into Doechii’s supporters, it’s worth noting that, despite perceptions of the remix, there are some reasons why Beyoncé, who is on a global world tour, may have gone with an established and successful artist like Kendrick Lamar.

“This sounds way better than what Kendrick Lamar did on America Has A Problem. Bey definitely should have put Doechii on the remix instead,” one fan wrote on Twitter. “kendrick ass was on his last album slurring it the fuck up and had kodak ass on tracks and interludes, but y’all believe that beyoncé wouldn’t work with doechii b/c of one kodak collaboration LMFAOOOOOO,” argues another. “Doechii, Tierra Wack and Doja need to just drop the America Has a Problem remix and let the internet bully Beyonce to clear it,” suggests another. One user, who saw both sides of the problem, choose to tweet, “doechii deserved to be on that track i’m sorry. kendrick did his thing fabulously but doechii would’ve simply made the track more fire.”
