Making wax figures out of celebrities has become a bit of a time-honored tradition. Hundreds of celebs have shown up to see shockingly lifelike wax statues of themselves unveiled at various museums around the world. Sometimes they’re so real that fans can barely tell the difference between the statue and the real thing. But other times they fall a bit short. That was the case with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who had a new wax figure unveiled at a Paris museum over the weekend. The only issue, fans don’t think it looks much like him at all.
Fans compared the figure to Mr. Clean and Vin Diesel and all seemed to agree that it didn’t look much like The Rock at all. Clearly, Johnson heard some of the criticisms and according to TMZ, he responded in a recent Instagram post. “For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grevin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at “updating” my wax figure here with some important details and improvements – starting with my skin color,” his answer reads. The skin color was definitely one of the biggest critiques fans had. The complexion of the statue actually looks far lighter than the man himself. Check out the statue below.

The Rock Vows To Help Fix Wax Figure
The Rock isn’t the only celebrity that’s dealt with this issue recently. Lil Wayne also had a new was figure revealed that fans didn’t take too kindly to. While the team put a ton of detail into the rapper’s dense collection of tattoos, the face is where most fans honed in. They noted that it doesn’t actually look much like Wayne.
In stark contrast, Jack Harlow got his own wax figure earlier this year. That rendition of the “First Class” rapper was called shockingly accurate by many. Consequently, side by side comparisons of the rapper and his statue went viral online as fans could hardly believe how accurate it was. What do you think of The Rock promising to help fix his wax figure? Let us know in the comment section below.
