Conway The Machine Gets Gritty On New Posse Cut “Elephant Man”

In an already extremely prolific year, Conway The Machine and his Drumwork label have more on the way. The Griselda rapper dropped a new single called “Elephant Man” which features himself and numerous members of the label. Goosebytheway, SK Da King, Heem B$F, and Rome Streetz round out the artists lending their voices to the track. Despite the crowded room of collaborators, the track wraps up in a tight 4 minutes that gives everyone a chance to show off what they’ve got.

Alongside the release of the song was an announcement that there’s a full Drumwork album coming later this summer. Labels like YSL and Dreamville have made similar moves in the past. The resulting albums served as a display of the variety of talent a particular label has on its roster. Though many of the Drumwork members have similar styles, they collaborate frequently and fit together well. Label members like Jae Skeese, 7xvethegenius, and Goosebytheway have appeared often on recent Conway The Machine albums.

Conway The Machine And Drumwork Present…

Drumwork as a whole has had an extremely busy 2023 already. Last month Conway The Machine himself dropped a whole new album WON’T HE DO IT which had collabs from Drumwork and Griselda members. He also dropped a collaborative tape with Jae Skeese called Pain Provided Profit back in March. And as if that wasn’t already enough, Skeese followed it up with a full album of his own later that month. The album, Abolished Uncertainties was his and the label’s most substantial undertaking yet.

Conway The Machine shared in an interview recently that he has become increasingly reclusive. He says he dealt with “severe anxiety” during a party celebrating the release of his last album. Quotable Lyrics:

The Prezi on the left hand, the boy set precedents, damn
The bezel and band dance like Elephant Man
They still tryna further their careers, but don’t ever advance
Every time Machine drop a record, it mess with they plans
