Moneybagg Yo Dives Into His Cup In “Wockesha” Music Video

Moneybagg Yo intended to have the summer on smash with the release of A Gangsta’s Pain but there’s one song, in particular, that’s been getting hella spins. “Wockesha,” Moneybagg Yo’s ode to the cup, has been on steady rotation over the past few months with the Memphis rapper recently performing the self-proclaimed “song of the year” during the 2021 BET Awards.

This morning, Moneybagg Yo slid through with the official music video for “Wockesha.” The lean-induced visuals opens up with Lil Wayne putting ice into a double-stacked styrofoam cup, mouthing his infamous lean rant from his Tim Westwood interview. “Wockesha” is personified by a beautiful woman, decked out in purple from head to toe. Bagg’s hallucinating throughout the video as he continues seeing “Wockesha” in the form of a floating cup before he finally plunges into a pool of cough syrup.

YNW Melly’s “No Love” Music Video Calls On Viewers To End Racism

Although he is still fighting for his life and freedom following being charged with two counts of first-degree murder, YNW Melly has reportedly been in good spirits as of late. Fredo Bang has confirmed that the Florida artist is working on a new album, and ever since then, fans have been waiting for new music from the incarcerated rapper.

Recently, the Melly v. Melvin artist returned with a new music video for his Ar’mon & Trey and 100K Track-assisted single “No Love.” The video marks YNW Melly’s latest music video to not feature him any footage, but it definitely compensates for Melly’s absence with shocking slavery-themed visuals. As seen in DJ Akademik’s post below, the video finds Ar’mon & Trey and 100K Track evoking the slave-era imagery with old-fashioned clothing, white overseers, and shots of the rappers in pillories.

At the end of the music video, the polarizing imagery of Antebellum-era slavery that was present throughout the “No Love” video is contrasted by a modern-day example of prejudice. While filming the music video, the production is interrupted by a “Karen” archetype who tries to shut down the video shoot because it’s not what people “do” in Big Canoe.

The video concludes with the following statement, “Racism in America is very much alive. It’s our job to end it.”

Lil Loaded Dons Purp And Gold In “24 Kobe” Video

It hasn’t even been a full month since Texas rapper Lil Loaded committed suicide at the ripe age of 20. Yet, here we are, with a haunting new track and video to accompany.

“24 Kobe” is bleak in every sense of the word. Starting off with a pair of kids, one in an old LeBron shirt and the other wearing a Laker one, shooting on the blacktop into a bottomless shopping basket. The hi-hats hiss as his voice kicks in, rapping, “2-4 Kobe, I ain’t ate in days,” which is genuinely the hardest bar that anyone may have ever rapped about the late basketball star. Seriously, how has nobody said that yet?

He goes on to rap about the affinity he has for his grandmother who died (“My granny live by the Lord so, why she pass away? And Dorse you a legend, think about you ’til this day). The track truly exceeds emotion, needless to say knowing he’s no longer around to share more of it.

Lil Baby and Lil Durk Drop Video For “Man Of My Word”

Coming off solid numbers and even better reception for their recent collab album, The Voice of the Heroes, Lil Durk and Lil Baby just released a video for one of the project’s standouts.

In the visuals for “Man of my Word,” the two rappers are zipping back and forth between strip clubs and alleyways, riding in Chargers and McLarens, and, last but not least, holding money directly to their forehead. When they aren’t holding it to their forehead, though, there’s a little virtual gun made up of hundreds that they shoot extra hundreds out of. Neat and practical!

Attempting to keep up with whatever outfits these two are wearing is almost nauseating, only because the shot changes so fast that it barely gives a chance to tell how many blisteringly shiny rings Lil Baby has got wrapped around his fingers.

These two have been at the top of their respective scenes long before releasing their joint project, so much in fact that Brooklyn Nets superstar James Harden literally EP’d the damn thing. Going forward, what better way to further the hype train than by making more material together? Oh, that’s right, going on tour together

Tyler, The Creator & DJ Drama Team Up For “CORSO” Music Video

Tyler, The Creator is fresh off of the release of his seventh studio album, Call Me If You Get Lost. An ode to the legendary Gangsta Grillz mixtape series, DJ Drama’s presence is felt across the project with his show-stealing drops. The album was led by various short-snippets released on YouTube, as well as mysterious billboards with a phone number directing the caller to new song previews.

Today, Tyler, The Creator and DJ Drama unite for the official video for “CORSO.” The rapper and DJ take on a kid’s birthday party as the rapper performs the track as a favor to his friend before his energetic rendition ends with the rapper in tears.

Tyler recently hit the stage at the 2021 BET Awards for the first time where he delivered a show-stopping performance of CMIYGT single, “Lumberjack.”

Juicy J & Pooh Shiesty Put On For Memphis In The “TELL EM NO” Music Video

Juicy J — who starred on HNHH‘s “BagFuel” last month and was recently named one of HNHH‘s 10 Producers Who Deserve More Love  — recently turned 46 years old, and he is not showing any signs of stopping. In this month alone, Juicy J has released songs with artists such as Rico Nasty, Marshmello, Pop Smoke, A$AP Rocky, Skepta, and Project Pat, and this weekend, the veteran Hip-Hop artist has returned with even more new music.

On Friday, Juicy J released The Hustle Still Continues, the deluxe version of his impressive 2020 project The Hustle Continues, and now, the Southern rap legend has shared a music video for one of the songs featured on his new project: the Pooh Shiesty-assisted “TELL EM NO.” The dark, horror-esque visuals find both of the Memphis artists at what appears to be a haunted house, keeping an eye out for snakes and enthusiastically performing their verses.

Although he’s currently in jail awaiting his preliminary hearing in July, Pooh Shiesty’s appearance in Juicy J’s new video marks another round of good news for the rising Memphis rapper. A little over a week ago, the 1017 artist was named a member of the 2021 class of XXL Freshmen, and following the release of the “TELL EM NO” music video, fans will be able to send him even more congratulatory letters.

DaBaby Draws Inspiration From Hood Classics In “Red Light Green Light” Visual

It’s obvious that DaBaby is paying homage to a few of our favorite hood classic films in his music video to “Red Light Green Light.” The rapper shared his latest single on Friday (June 25), and hours later, he dropped off the accompanying music video. The cover art for the track showed DaBaby sporting a head full of S-Curl locks reminiscent of the 1990s, and the scene was all about those backyard cookouts with family and a few trouble-making friends.

Fans expect that DaBaby will be releasing a project sometime soon, especially considering “Red Light Green Light” came just a week after the rapper delivered his last single, “Ball If I Want To.” The visual for “Red Light Green Light” arrived with a warning—sort of—before the video began.

“Everything done in this amazing ass video is intended to be used for entertainment purposes only,” it reads. “The only influence we would like this video to have is to inspire others to reach new heights creatively. All guns used in this video are 100% props made out of woods or rubber. WARNING, there is no warning! Enjoy the video!”

Big Sean Takes Fans Back To 2010 In The “Freshman 10” Music Video

While the latest class of XXL Freshmen is actively working on winning the Hip-Hop community over, Big Sean has come forward to treat fans with a welcomed dose of nostalgia. Next week marks the 10-year anniversary of his debut album Finally Famous, and in honor of that milestone achievement, Sean Don has released a re-mixed and remastered version of the 2011 project along with a sentimental new track.

“Freshman 10 (Freestyle),” a track which Sean revealed on Thursday had been finished two years ago and received co-signs from his fellow XXL Freshmen Wiz Khalifa and J. Cole, is essentially a walk down memory lane. Sean shows off his storytelling skills and witty lyricism and walks listeners through what he describes as “one of the craziest days of [his] life.”

Hours after the song’s release, the Detroit 2 artist has now shared a music video to go along with the nostalgic new track, and both dedicated Big Sean fans and longtime supporters of the XXL Freshman Cover will be delighted to see archival footage of Sean, Nipsey Hussle, Wiz Khalifa, OJ Da Juiceman, Kendrick Lamar, and countless others.

The video offers a major glimpse into the state of Hip-Hop at the start of the last decade, and it’s inspiring to see how far the artists featured in the video have come. Curren$y Discusses Making His Own Strain & Stuffing Cones On “How To Roll”

In the latest episode of How To Roll, HNHH welcomes veteran New Orleans rapper Curren$y. Arriving alongside the arrival of his latest project, Welcome To Jet Life Recordings 2, Curren$y’s appearance on How To Roll finds him discussing what it’s like to make his own strain, his distaste for Blue Dream, the craziest strain names, and much more.

“I’m a OG — I smoke OG,” the Jet Life rapper admits. “But my scientists are all like, ‘Spitta, you’ve gotta get into these other styles of bud, these smells, and these flavors.’ So we’re creating some things right now. I’m not gonna give up the recipe just yet, but I’ll let you know when these are on the shelves. Right now, I’m just taking it through a test-run.”

Curren$y for HotNewHipHop "How To Roll"

For Spitta, making sure that his strain is as high quality as possible is what matters most. He reveals that he has a reputation for removing his name from unreleased strains if they don’t meet his expectations. “Even though I know if they put the logo on it, it’s gonna sell, I’m like nah,” Curren$y admits. “A muhf*cker gon’ buy it because my name on it and it’s not good. I’ve never done them that [way] with a mixtape, you know what I’m saying? It said my name — it sounded like how it was supposed to sound.”

Later on in the video, the Pilot Talk artist also tells the story about how he fell in love with stuffing cones, which apparently happened while he was visiting Amsterdam. “It’s my complete way of life bruh,” Curren$y says. “I first found a pack of cones — they weren’t the brand I’m smoke now — [when] I was in Amsterdam. The flight was pushed back like four hours, so we kicked it a bit outside the hotel. I went into this coffee shop, and i had little two packs of these big f*cking cones.”

Curren$y for HotNewHipHop "How To Roll"

“I was like, ‘Oh yeah, let’s go. All the weed I have left into those two and smoke them onto the way to the aiport, right?’ Nah,” he continues, revealing that he actually wasn’t able to smoke on the shuttle and in most public places in Amsterdam. “The shuttle told me I couldn’t smoke the weed. I got these two f*cking brontosaurus burger, f*cking Flintstone cones. Get to the airport and never had a chance to smoke them. There’s no little pavilion for smoking…[so] I went into the bathroom and I ate ’em.”
