Childish Major Names The Best Places To Get “Thot Food” In Atlanta

Yesterday, Childish Major dropped by for the latest episode of Snack Review and he’s back for the second part, answering all of our food-related questions and naming some of his all-time favorite restaurants in his hometown.

The “F Yah Job” rapper started off by naming some of his staple snacks while he was growing up, name-dropping Hot Cheetos, noodles, microwaved Honey Buns, and more. He also spoke about the best places to get food in his hometown of South Carolina, telling people that his mother makes the best grub in the entire state. As for where he resides right now in Atlanta, Major gave us some restaurants to try out.

“In Atlanta, Gio’s Chicken [Amalfitano], it’s an Italian spot. They got a pizza location and an Italian chicken location,” he said, suggesting the half-chicken plate with two potatoes and juice, either spicy, olive-laced, or lemon.

He also had good things to say about 656 Sports Bar & Grille, drooling over the red beans and rice, sautéed spinach, and fried lobster tails. He’s a fan of their turkey ribs, saying they fall off the bone. “They call it thot food,” he joked.

Childish Major also suggested the lamb chops from Pasha Restaurant and Bar, advising people not to wear sweatpants there because they won’t let you in.

Brooklyn Is Outside For Pop Smoke’s “Coupe” Music Video

The second posthumous album has arrived from Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke, and as Pusha-T suggested on the third track “Tell The Vision,” he can already see a platinum plaque starting to form in the clouds. One of the most commercially successful members of the Brooklyn drill community, Pop Smoke was well on his way to becoming a global superstar. The tragic end to his life marked one of the most depressing days in modern hip-hop history, but the rapper’s team has been emptying out his vault to share his greatness with the world. Every release has been bittersweet, but Faith has angered even some people within Pop’s close circle

The album is expected to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 next week and Pop’s estate is doing everything to secure that pivotal starting point, releasing a deluxe edition on Wednesday morning and uploading the official music video for “Coupe” later that day.

The video was filmed primarily at a basketball court in Pop’s neighborhood, which was filled with people from his city, enjoying his music and remembering the young icon. Canarsie was outside for this shoot and it looks like they had a great time.

Childish Major Harshly Rates Unorthodox Foods On “Snack Review”

The latest episode of Snack Review has officially arrived, and it features none other than Atlanta-based rapper Childish Major. The 30-year-old recording artist stopped by to test out some of the most eccentric snacks we could find at the corner store, offering up his harsh opinion for each unfamiliar food that he tried.

He started off with a special lychee-flavored drink, having some trouble opening the bottle before figuring it out. He loved the drink, but the temperature and childproof bottlecap turned him off, reducing the final score. He moved onto a bacon and chip-flavored candy bar, which did not leave a strong impression on him. Childish Major also tried out some cabbage taro corn puff snacks, which he likened to jalapeño puffs. He was a fan and ate a few of them, but ultimately, he only gave them a 5/10. That was seemingly the theme of this episode — even though the rapper seemed to be enjoying his snack discovery, he was offering average to low scores on most offerings, only handing out higher ratings to the foods he would see himself stocking up on.

Trippie Redd & Lil Uzi Vert Geek Out At An Arcade In The “Holy Smokes” Video

If it wasn’t already clear with the release of “Miss The Rage” in May, Trippie Redd isn’t playing with his highly anticipated fifth studio album Trip At Knight. Following the success of his previously mentioned Playboi Carti-assisted single, Trippie Redd doubled back and shared a single with another artist who was able to transcend the SoundCloud era — Lil Uzi Vert. Titled “Holy Smokes,” the recently released song was surprisingly the first official collaboration between Trippie and Uzi Vert, and now, the two have teamed up for the track’s music video.

The glitchy and colorful visuals start off with a skit from Adin Ross before the video shifts to Trippie and Uzi riding around in the backseat of a car together. They perform their verses in the car, in a creepy, seemingly out-of-service elevator, as well as in an abandoned arcade, and the result is an entertaining and fittingly trippy video.

Throughout the video, it’s clear that Trippie Redd and Lil Uzi Vert have chemistry as collaborators and as mutual artists, so hopefully “Holy Smokes” marks the first of many team-ups in the near future.

Head back to the top to check out Trippie Redd and Lil Uzi’s wavy new music video for “Holy Smokes,” and get ready for the forthcoming release of Trip At Knight.

Migos Takeover The Desert In “Roadrunner” Music Video

Migos made their triumphant return a few weeks ago with the release of Culture III, the final installment in the series. Many had doubts that the Atlanta trio would be able to deliver a riveting body of work following the bloated effort that is Culture II. While still packed with nearly 20 songs, Culture III has plenty of highlights that Migos can bank on having the summer on smash.

This week, the trio delivered the latest visuals for the single, “Roadrunner.” The three rappers depart from the previous grainy aesthetic on the “Modern Day” and “Why Not” visuals. In the music video, the rappers are draped in military-inspired gear while surrounded by a group of dancers donning a sleek, all-black look.

JayDaYoungan Lists His Essentials: Weed, Margiela Sneakers, Chains, & More

Louisiana rapper JayDaYoungan is one of the fastest-rising rappers from his state, collaborating with artists including YFN Lucci, Boosie Badazz, Kevin Gates, and more. He’s best known for his street anthems “23 Island,” “Elimination,” and “Thot Thot” and he’s ready to get even more personal with his fans, showing off some of his essentials during the latest episode of In My Bag.

Stopping by to show off the contents of his bag, 22-year-old rapper JayDaYoungan went through his belongings one by one and explained the significance of each item. He started by showing off his Hamsa chain, which he bought at Icebox. According to Jay, the piece makes him feel protected from the evil spirits that are always lurking around him.

He went on to light up a blunt and show off his limited edition blue back of Backwoods. Later on, he gave us a look at what he packs into his blunts, telling us his favorite weed strains and giving shoutouts to gelato, superglue, and other flavors. Among the more expensive items in Jay’s bag is a pair of blue Maison Margiela sneakers, which he puts on to get his energy right. He says they’re his favorite kicks, licking the toe on camera to show just how much he loves them.

As JayDaYoungan continues to level up in the rap game, learn about what’s important to him in the video above. Who do you want to see on In My Bag next?

Logic Delivers New Music Video For “Vaccine”

Logic’s retirement is better off unmentioned at this stage, short-lived an event that it was. And while he certainly bowed out gracefully with No Pressure, as the idiom goes, you can’t keep a good man down. Now, Bobby Tarantino has been steadily rolling out a new album, and today his single “Vaccine” has received the music video treatment.

For the most part, the latest clip from Logic is relatively straightforward as far as the premise is concerned, though it’s certainly dynamic on the visual front. Directed by Mike Holland & Justin Fleischer, “Vaccine” features Logic and his entourage decked out in all-black attire, with some even opting to go the ski mask way. There’s even a little bit of visual flair throughout, with occasional filters and hyper-stylized lighting keeping things engaging.

It’s clear that Logic isn’t looking to overthink things on this go-around, and the new video for “Vaccine” highlights his willingness to go with the flow and have fun with his buddies. Though some might not be sold on the musical direction he has chosen to embark on, those who have stuck with Bobby throughout the ride should find much to appreciate about this freewheeling, happy-go-lucky epilogue.

Drakeo The Ruler Is A Picky Eater: See Why He Hates Mayonnaise & Ranch

If you’re tasked with cooking a meal for Los Angeles rapper Drakeo The Ruler, make sure you don’t add any sauces to the plate. The “Talk To Me” artist is a very picky eater and he’s got a lot of hatred in his heart for mayonnaise, ketchup, and other sauces. He spoke about his distaste for most condiments on the second part of his Snack Review episode.

Following up on his initial review portion, Drakeo got back with us to answer some pressing questions about his food preferences, and we learned a lot about the icon. For starters, he’s not a big fan of most sauces, enjoying barbecue on occasion but despising mayonnaise, ranch, and others.

Telling us that ranch dressing is the worst food he’s ever tried, Drakeo said, “I tried to eat it and I threw up. I tried to eat it someday, maybe it was with some chicken, and I just threw up. That’s when I knew– I knew I didn’t like the smell of it but when I did it that day, it just automatically went up. I couldn’t even swallow it. I do not fuck with ranch.”

That’s not even the only sauce that doesn’t agree with Drakeo. He also told us about an unpleasant experience while eating a lobster roll, finding mayonnaise in it. He immediately spoke to the server and told them that he didn’t want the meal anymore because of the mayo.
