Fyre Festival 2 Pre-Sale Drop Tickets Sell Out in Less than Two Days

For most of 2023, Beyonce and Taylor Swift were the most in-demand music tickets, but now apparently the hottest event to get tickets to is….Fyre Fest? Yes, you read that correctly. Fyre Fest 2 is not only happening, but the initial drop of tickets have already sold out in under two days.

Despite the fact that Fyre Fest 2 did not have an artist lineup, location, or even an exact date yet, 100 presale tickets went up for sale on August 21 for $499 apiece ($549.89 after taxes and fees). Tickets will be offered in waves with prices continuing to increase incrementally, ultimately culminating in the final round of tickets, which will go for $7,999 apiece. (No word on what accommodations and benefits will accompany those tickets.)

The website was updated on Wednesday to state that the event start date would be Friday, December 6, 2024 in the Caribbean. (No exact location was announced.)

Billy McFarland (the original Fyre Fest organizer) posted a video to Instagram on Monday to talk about the ticket drop with the caption “FYRE Festival 2 Pre-Sale is LIVE in bio.”

Wearing a white robe and Airpods, McFarland (who completed an four year stint for wire fraud in 2022), spoke to followers, saying:

What’s up guys? This is a big day because as of right now Fyre Festival 2 tickets are officially on sale. It has been the absolute wildest journey to get here and it really all started during the seventh month stint in solitary confinement. I wrote out this 50-page plan of how it would take this overall interest and demand in Fyre and how it would take my ability to bring people from around the world together together to make the impossible happen, but how it would find the best partners in the world to allow me to be me while executing Fyre’s vision to the highest level. In my first year, I partnered with one of the biggest and best TV companies in the world to produce a documentary called “After the Fyre.” I’ve also worked with one of the biggest production companies to sign a deal to produce Fyre Festival, the Broadway musical and finally today we are announcing Fyre Festival 2. I spoke to people as far away as the Middle East and South America and ultimately we decided that Fyre Festival 2 will come back to the Caribbean. We are targeting Fyre Festival 2 for the next year. In the meantime, we will be doing pop-ups and events across the world. Guys, this is your chance to get in. This is everything I’ve been working for. Let’s f***ing go.

The original Fyre Festival, which took place back in 2017, was billed as a luxurious “cultural experience of the decade.” However, attendees (who paid between $1,200 to upwards of $100,000 per ticket) found themselves stranded with minimal food and shelter on the Bahamian island of Exuma. Headliners such as Blink-182, Migos, Tyga, Desiigner, Lil Yachty, and more pulled out of performing at the last minute and the event never took place, ultimately leading to the federal wire fraud charges against McFarland.

Nickelus F Puts Out First Album In Four Years With “The Specimen: Issue 00”

Long-time underground hip-hop artist Nickelus F has garnered the respect from some of the top-flight names in the rap game. However, it has not led to more mainstream appeal, unfortunately. But, the Virginian-born artist did obviously not care about making it to the limelight because he continues to pump out new music. It has been quite some time though since his last release, The Gold Mine Vol 2. In fact, it has been almost four years to the day, so what better time then to come out with a new project, The Specimen: Issue 00.

Nickelus F takes us on a bit of a space journey sometime in the future. He is found nearly dead and scientists put him in cryo-preservation on the opening track, “Cryostasis.” From that point on the first couple of tracks are him reawakening and learning about his surroundings. In a way, it could be a nod to the fact that it has been a while since Nickelus has come out with an album.

How Did Nickelus F Get On The Map?

The consistency of Nickelus F might not be known by most rap fans so, let us take a quick look at how this Richmond, Virginia-born artist got his start. Also known as Nick Fury by some, he really made a name for himself when he worked with a young Drake back in 2007. On the Cut the Check mixtape, Drake and Nickelus released the song “AM 2 PM.” It was also placed on Drake’s first mixtape, Room for Improvement, where Nickelus F made several other tracks. Those include “Money”, “A Scorpio’s Mind”, and “S.T.R.E.S.S.”.

The shoe has a unique look with a special part called a “spoiler” at the back. It also has a Jumpman logo. The shoe has a mix of leather and other materials on the upper part. It comes in many colors. The Air Jordan 6 has a comfortable fit and good support for your feet. It’s good for playing sports or just wearing it casually. The sole has cushioning for comfort.

People really like the shoe’s design and connection to basketball history. It’s been in movies and music videos, making it even more popular. Over the years, there have been different versions and collaborations of the Air Jordan 6. It’s one of the well-known sneakers in the Air Jordan line. Many sneaker fans and basketball lovers still wear and collect it today. The Air Jordan 6 remains an important part of sneaker culture. Now the 6 is releasing in an “Aqua” colorway and this release has definitely been highly anticipated, and will certainly be a hit.

Overall, these sneakers are almost entirely black and feature noticeable aqua accents.

KEY! Is Back With His New Album “Marquis”

KEY! is back with his brand new album Marquis, which was released on August 18. The name might not be familiar to you, but he has been making music since the early 2010s. Specifically, his first effort was dropped back on July 2, 2012. It was titled Mothers Are the Blame and since then he has been featured on some of the biggest projects of the last couple of years.

For example, he was a guest on Dreamville’s Revenge Of The Dreamers III making a star-studded track called “Oh Wow… Swerve” with J. Cole. Then, he appeared on the A$AP Mob’s 2017 project Cozy Tapes Vol. 2: Too Cozy. There he was on Please Shut Up with A$AP Rocky and Gucci Mane. So, he has a history of big artists recruiting him for some of their biggest releases. It is nice to see that trend for KEY! and hopefully it can continue.

What To Expect From A KEY! Project and “Marquis”

When it comes to a KEY! album one thing to know is that even though the tracklists can get up to 17 to 18 songs, none reach the 50-minute mark. That is the same case here with the run time, it is short and sweet. Marquis is just over 26 minutes and 11 tracks and features a few other artists. Those include Redd Smash on “Crank Dat” and “Cheat Code.” Tony Shhnow is featured on “You Need God.” Then, Bear1Boss, LongbodyLeo, ManMan Savage, and Jace are the other guests to appear.

Britney Spears Reportedly Divorcing Husband After a Year of Marriage

Oops…she (may have) did it again! Rumors are swirling that pop star Britney Spears and husband Sam Asghari are headed for divorce court.

While neither of the two has made a public statement, sources have said that the couple’s problems started following the end of Spears’ conservatorship from her father in which she began to behave erratically on social media and in person, culminating in a bizarre accident with NBA player Victor Wembanyama’s security guard earlier this summer. Her recent Instagram posts have been a haphazard collection of her displaying bizarre behavior and looking unkempt.

More recently, rumors have started to swirl that Spears had been physically abusive towards Asghari and that he had not been sleeping in the couple’s home. There are also rumors that she cheated on him, but so far there are no specific allegations as to when or with whom.

(Spears has not posted Asghari on her Instagram since June 22nd and Ashgari has not posted Spears on his Instagram since Valentine’s Day of 2023.)

The two met in 2016 when Spears chose Asghari to appear in her music video for “Slumber Party” featuring Tinashe. The couple got engaged in 2021 and married in June of 2022. (Spears’ conservatorship ended in November of 2021.)

Whether or not Spears and Asghari split or stay together remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain- Plies will always be in her corner going wild for her dancing skills.

Kid Cudi Poses In New Calvin Klein Campaign

Kid Cudi is a busy man these days. As many of you are already aware, he is gearing up to release a brand-new album called INSANO. This project is going to come out on September 15th. Overall, there is a lot of hype for the project given who might be featured. Names like Travis Scott and Playboi Carti are floating around, which is absolutely huge. Not to mention, there are rumblings that a collaborative project with Travis could still happen. Needless to say, Cudi is giving fans a reason to be hyped up.

Additionally, Kid Cudi is now part of the latest Fall 2023 campaign for Calvin Klein. Alexa Demie of Euphoria is also part of the campaign, which gives this quite a bit of star power as something that “redefines sensuality through scenes of pleasure and play.” The pictures and poses that accompany the new campaign certainly play into that narrative. Below, you can see Cudi shirtless while wearing some of Calvin Klein’s iconic pieces. Ultimately, it is a cool campaign for Cudi to be part of.

When it comes to INSANO, it should be interesting to see what kind of direction the artist goes in. Throughout his career, Kid Cudi has ventured into various different sounds. He could do the rock thing, or he may even dive into the world of rage beats. At this point, the musical direction is a mystery and we are intrigued. However, with the inclusion of Carti and Scott, it is safe to see that this is an album that will resonate with the youth. Hopefully, it is able to deliver on all fronts.

Quavo Performs “Who Wit Me” For Atlanta Braves Fans: Watch

Quavo is readying a brand-new album for this Friday, simply titled “Rocket Power.” Overall, this is going to be an emotional release for the artist. It is a tribute album to Takeoff, whom he spent so much of his time with. Although the Migos rapper has suffered immense tragedy, he is now looking to channel that pain into his music. Fans are expecting a truly fantastic album, and there is no doubt that Take will be proud of it. That said, the release date is two days away, and the anticipation continues to mount.

Ahead of this release, Quavo has been spending a lot of time in his hometown of Atlanta. He went to the Beyonce concert the other night, and he has also been hosting pop-ups. Last night, however, the artist spent his time at an Atlanta Braves game. The team is one of the best in Major League Baseball right now, and they were taking on the New York Yankees. In fact, the Braves came through with a solid 5-0 victory. Although, this was not the highlight of the night. Instead, it was Quavo’s performance on top of the dugout.

Above, you can see the artist deliver a great one-minute rendition of his new song “Who Wit Me.” This song is an emotional one as it speaks directly to the passing of Takeoff. As for the crowd, they seemed to be into the performance as all 40,000 fans in attendance let out a cheer at the end. For Quavo, this must have been an amazing feeling.

Mo3’s Estate Battles With Engineer, Claims He Stole Late Rapper’s Vocal Tracks

Back in 2020, Mo3 met an untimely death after he was shot on a Dallas freeway at the age of 28. Following his passing, rumors circulated surrounding the circumstances leading up to his death. Some reports suggest that the rapper could have been followed after leaving a woman’s house that day. Reportedly, Mo3 crashed his car after realizing what was going on, and the man following him chased him on foot for a while before shooting him. Sadly, Mo3 passed away that same day in the hospital.

The events leading up to his murder aren’t the only thing to spark controversy as of late. The rapper’s estate is now claiming that a recording engineer, Ray Gene Bollin, is holding some of his unreleased vocal tracks hostage. They say that although Mo3 would frequently use Bollin’s studio to record, he had little to do with the music he created. Apparently, his contribution was limited to “setting up a microphone and pushing the record button,” under the “specific direction, guidance, and control” of Mo3.

Mo3’s estate is now in a legal battle with Bollin, fighting to reclaim the allegedly stolen vocal tracks. According to them, he even approached Empire, looking to sell the stolen recordings. Bollin claims to be seeking unpaid studio fees, on top of royalties, “licensing fees,” and more. Initially, he was asking for $10,000- $20,000 for the studio fees. He then went on to ask for over $600,000 for all the fees combined.

The estate has now dubbed the engineer an “opportunistic interloper.” Mo3’s mother, Nichole Noble, also claims that Bollin wished her a happy mother’s day amid the drama. “If you want to [make] me happy please give me my son’s music. I am having to go through too much as is,” she later responded.
