Judge Mathis’ Marriage on the Rocks: Linda Mathis Moves Forward with Divorce

Screen Shot 2024 09 06 at 4.13.49 AM

Last week, Judge Mathis made headlines when he vowed to reconcile with his wife, Linda Mathis, after she filed to end their 39-year marriage. Despite his intentions, it appears that Linda is resolute in her decision to move forward with the divorce.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Linda Mathis, 61, has taken the next step in the dissolution of their marriage by hiring a process server to personally serve her husband with divorce papers. The process server delivered the paperwork to their $5 million home in Beverly Hills at 10:30 a.m., ensuring that Judge Mathis, 64, received the documents just one day after Linda filed for divorce on August 22.

The couple, who have been married for nearly four decades, are parting ways due to “irreconcilable differences,” as cited in Linda’s petition. She listed the official date of their separation as July 17. While their marriage has produced four adult children—Amir, Jade, Greg Jr., and Camara—the issues of custody and child support are not factors in the divorce proceedings.

In her filing, Linda has requested spousal support from Judge Mathis and asked that he be cut off from any financial support. As the legal process unfolds, it remains to be seen how the couple, who have shared a long and public relationship, will navigate the end of their marriage.

Judge Mathis, known for his long-running television show where he dispenses justice with a blend of sternness and humor, now finds himself facing a personal challenge off-screen. Whether his vow to reconcile will lead to any change in the proceedings is uncertain, but for now, Linda Mathis seems determined to move forward.

Trouble in City Hall After FBI Search Homes of High Ranking Aides to NYC Mayor Adams

IMG 7553

When the feds come knocking, better believe it’s serious. That’s what it’s looking like after Federal authorities conducted raids on the homes of three, yes three senior aides and close associates of New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

Okay so get this, the coordinated searches, nice way of saying raids, took place early Wednesday morning at the Manhattan residence of First Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright, who shares the home with her partner, Schools Chancellor David Banks, as well as the Queens home of Deputy Mayor for Public Safety Philip Banks. WOW. First Deputy Mayor, Schools Chancellor and the Deputy Mayor for Public Safety?

What’s more, the raids, which began around 5 a.m., represent a significant development in the federal investigation into Adams’ inner circle.

Naturally, the FBI has declined to comment on the specifics, but law enforcement sources as reported by the New York Post and Politico, suggest the searches are part of a broader investigation.

Check this out … Some are speculating that authorities are attempting to gain cooperation from someone close to the mayor.

Let’s be clear, despite this wild development, Adams has not been accused of any wrongdoing.

As you can imagine, Wright, as the city’s first deputy mayor, is the most senior official in Adams’ administration to be directly impacted by federal law enforcement actions. Philip Banks, a longtime ally of Adams, is also involved in the probe. Both are key figures in the mayor’s team, raising concerns about the extent of the investigation. The plot is thickening that’s for sure.

ICYMI, Brianna Suggs, a top fundraiser for the mayor, was also the subject of a search by federal agents. These actions are part of an investigation that has raised questions about alleged kickback schemes involving City Hall and foreign governments. Now before you try to out two and two together, a source told the New York Post that the recent raids may not be directly connected to a probe involving Turkey.

In case you really missed it, back in July, Adams and several City Hall officials, along with his campaign, were issued grand jury subpoenas as part of a federal inquiry into fundraising activities for his 2021 mayoral campaign. As part of that investigation, Adams’ electronic devices were seized by authorities. Sheesh.

Again, Mayor Adams, who has consistently denied any wrongdoing, reiterated his stance through City Hall Chief Counsel Lisa Zornberg. “Investigators have not indicated to us that the mayor or his staff are targets of any investigation,” Zornberg said in a statement. “As a former member of law enforcement, the mayor has repeatedly made clear that all members of the team need to follow the law.”

Lips are tight after the raids because neither Wright nor her partner David Banks, nor representatives from the Adams campaign, have provided public comments in response to the raids. David Banks, when approached by reporters outside the Harlem home he shares with Wright, declined to answer questions.

Oddly, Philip Banks, who is the brother of David Banks, has a controversial past, having been named an unindicted co-conspirator in a major federal police corruption case years ago. Despite this, he has remained a close advisor to Adams and serves in a key public safety role in the administration.

The feds are keeping this close to the vest and while the exact focus of the investigation remains unclear, the involvement of such high-level figures in Adams’ administration marks a serious turn in the probe, casting uncertainty over the mayor’s future and that of his closest allies.

What do y’all think? We’re not going to speculate but when it comes to New York City it looks like there’s a cloud over City Hall.

Hip-hop artist 42 Dugg announced the “4eva Us, Neva Them” Tour, a 20-city, cross-country trek that will include stops in major cities, including New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Washington DC and more. He will be joined by some of hip-hop’s hottest rising artists such as Yungeen Ace, CartierAudi.Money and Chicken.P

The tour announcement comes after Dugg unleashed his debut album, 4eva Us, Neva Them, in July that included star-studded collaborations like Lil Baby, Meek MillSexyy Red, Jeezy, EST Gee, Rylo Rodriguez and Blac Youngsta.

Dugg elaborated on his goal for the album in an interview with Billboard, nothing that he “just wanted to show the people the growth of what type of headspace I’m in, and what I’ve been through and how far along I’ve come.”

4eva Us, Neva Them marked the 2021 XXL Freshman star’s first full project since 2022, a collaborative effort with EST Gee titled Last Ones Left, which debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. Dugg’s last solo project, Free Dem Boyz, came in 2021 and debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard 200.

YSL Co-Founder Mondo Clowns YSL Woody For Claiming He’s “Outside”

YSL Woody has achieved infamy. The YSL member was not particularly well-known prior to the group’s RICO charge, but he’s become the star witness in the subsequent trial. And despite becoming the best known “rat” in the rap since Takeshi 6ix9ine, YSL Woody has continued to flex online. The rapper heard that YSL co-founder YSL Mondo had some criticisms for him during a recent interview. In response, he took to Instagram Live and proved he was very much “outside.” It didn’t convince his YSL peer.

“I be outside like the motherf*ckin’ sun,” YSL Woody tells his viewers. He proceeds to hop in a car and show off a duffle bag full of cash. “Y’all know how I’m coming,” he continues. “Pull up and get it!” YSL Woody then makes direct reference to the YSL Mondo interview. “Y’all n**gas stop playing,” he stated. “Keep me out these interviews.” Woody doesn’t mentioned Mondo by name, but it’s very clear that he has the co-founder in mind. So clear, in fact that Mondo responded to the Woody flex video with an IG Live of his own.

YSL Mondo Claims Woody Will Never Be Respected

To put it simply, YSL Mondo was no impressed. “You ain’t nowhere but in your surrounding area,” he camly stated. “Ain’t nowhere where I’m at. You just got the internet, boogie woogie a*s, folks who ain’t from Atlanta type sh*t from around the way.” YSL took it a step further, and undermined YSL Woody for showcasing money in his car. “You ride around with every dime that you own on you,” Mondo explained. “That ain’t no money my brother, go get you a bank account, my boy.”

YSL Woody’s attempts to flex were further undone by Mondo’s observations. The YSL co-founder said people in the know don’t respect Woody, regardless of how much cash he throws around. “Real n**gas ain’t respecting that boogie woogie a*s sh*t,” he asserted. “Don’t let these small town street punks on the internet juice you up and make you think you a real n**ga… You can never be no more.” Woody may have the fame, but Mondo’s commentary is pretty damning.

SOURCE LATINO: Voices of Power Across Hip-Hop and Politics Highlight the Power of the Latino Vote at the DNC

Voices of Power Across Hip-Hop and Politics Highlight the Power of the Latino Vote at the DNC

by Jeanine Ramirez

“I’m just grateful just to be here with all my Latino brothers and sisters and people from all over. Yes. God Bless.”

– Common

Common joined the Voto Latino fiesta at Chicago’s House of Blues during Democratic National Convention week, helping to energize the crowd and unite voter turnout for the Harris Walz ticket beyond Chicago, where the rapper grew up.

“I was able to evolve and grow and go see other places, I understood that we was all together, especially my brown brothers and sisters. We were going through some of the same struggles.”

Improving the lives of all Americans is on the agenda for Presidential candidate Kamala Harris. It’s a message that Democrats hope resonates with the country’s largest minority group. Here’s NY Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez:

“So I’m asking every Latino, the fact that you see the kind of energy and enthusiasm doesn’t translate into getting out to vote. So when you go home you have to knock on doors, make phone banks, talk to everyone, meet voters where they are and make sure that everyone comes to vote. This is an election that is going to be very tight and so we cannot have the luxury of staying home expecting that people will come out to vote.”

Voto Latino, along with actress Rosario Dawson, took the stage to drive that mission. All week, Latino lawmakers at the United Center spread enthusiasm and a call to action for the historic election. Here’s Harlem Congressman Adriano Espaillat.

“Electing the first woman president, it’s for my mom. It’s for my daughter. It’s for my 8 month granddaughter. That’s what this is about. The nation finally coming to terms with itself that yes, a woman could lead us. And Kamala Harris is of course a tremendous woman and the platform is a big tent approach to government that includes everybody.”

According to the 2020 Census, 62.1 million Hispanics live in the United States, representing nearly 19% of the country’s population. Healthcare, education, economics, border policies, and law and order are all on the ballot. Sergeant Aquilino Gonell worked at the Capitol Building on January 6th and warned against another Trump presidency:

“You need to imagine what he would do if he were re-elected. He has taught us already. He has shown us what he’s capable of on January 6th. On January 6th, I was attacked by more than 40 sympathizers of him. I have videos, pictures, medical bills, reports. I had gone to court to hold these people accountable.”

The Latino vote could be the deciding factor in the election. And Democrats urge Latinos to be present.

“Let’s just be present in this moment, in this time. It’s a special time.”

NBA 2K25 Introduces Major Innovations to MyNBA and MyGM

NBA 2K25 MyNBA Header

2K today unveiled exciting new features coming to MyNBA and MyGM in NBA 2K25 for PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Fans can look forward to the addition of the Steph Era in MyNBA, where they can relive or rewrite the championship-studded legacy of Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. For the first time, MyGM will be available on new-generation consoles, allowing players to step into the role of an NBA General Manager and create the foundation of a dynasty.

The Full NBA General Manager Experience in MyGM arrives on new-generation consoles with a dynamic role-playing franchise experience. Players start by choosing their own GM backstory, such as an Ex-Player, Previous Scout, Savant of Finance, or Closer. Each backstory determines initial attributes and playstyles for running a franchise, adding depth and variety to the management role.

Dynamic Conversations & Goals are a core part of MyGM. The game introduces dynamic conversations, allowing highly customizable interactions with staff and players to manage needs and execute goals. These interactions significantly affect the team’s trajectory and outcomes, with backstory and attribute ratings influencing dialogue choices and unlocking more paths to satisfy a player’s goals.

The MyGM Building is a new addition where players can engage in in-person conversations with staff members or the Governor, providing a more authentic feel to the GM role. This free-roaming space allows players to take control of their MyGM and carry out responsibilities as the brains of the team.

NBA 2K25 also introduces a new Perk System, with 55 perks available at launch. These perks, such as Winning Culture or Data Analyst, boost specific GM skills and enhance gameplay both on and off the court, offering players additional strategies and advantages in managing their team.

The Steph Era in MyNBA allows players to start their league in 2016, immersing themselves in the legendary run of Stephen Curry and the Warriors alongside Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Kevin Durant. This new era lets players relive or challenge one of the greatest dynasties in professional basketball history.

The Emirates NBA Cup now features more integrations in MyNBA, with competitive group stage play and single-elimination knockout rounds testing team depth and resilience. This addition brings a new level of competition and excitement to the game.

League Expansions and Contractions give players full control over league size adjustments. This feature allows for recreating the expansion boom of the 80s and 90s or modifying the league size in the Modern Era, offering extensive customization options for shaping the MyNBA experience.

For full details and additional updates, check out the Courtside Report and Developer Diary. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements revealing more about the next version of the world’s best-selling NBA basketball simulation video game. Visit the NBA 2K25 official website for more information.

Flavor Flav Offers to Make Jordan Chiles a Bronze Clock in Wake of Olympic Medal Drama

Flava Flav Offers to Make Jordan Chiles a Bronze Clock in Wake of Olympic Medal Drama

As the 2024 Summer Olympics come to a close, one of the most disappointed athletes has to be Jordan Chiles, who, in a decision reversal, lost her bronze medal for women’s gymnastics following a scoring discrepancy. While Team USA continues to challenge the decision, women’s sports most unlikely champion, Flavor Flav, has offered to step in and at least offer Chiles a consolation piece of jewelry- a bronze clock he vowed to have made specially customized for her.

Taking to X, Flav posted the following with a short gif of him cheering on Team USA.

“Ayyy YOOOO @ChilesJordan ,,, imma make you a BRONZE CLOCK NECKLACE,,, and that’s something NO ONE else has,!!! Hit me up my girl,,, I gotchu,!!!”

Flava made a splash (almost literally) at the Paris Olympics after emerging as a major sponsor for Team USA women’s water polo after finding out that many of the players were working multiple jobs just to be able to afford to participate. Flav has been seen in the stands celebrating with players, families, other athletes, and even First Lady Jill Biden.

The Chiles controversy stems from an incident in which Chiles was allegedly scored fifth in her competition, but an appeal from her coach raised her score by .1 point, which cinched her the bronze, placing her above Romanians Bǎrbosu and Maneca-Voinea. However, the Romanian team filed an official appeal on behalf of the gymnasts surrounding the decision to revise Chiles’ score, claiming that the challenge by the Americans was made four seconds after the one-minute challenge deadline. The Olympic committee has asked Chiles to return her bronze medal, despite the fact that Chiles and the Romanian gymnasts have all agreed to calling it a three-way tie (in which they all would receive a bronze medal).

As of Monday, the committee’s decision remained in tact as they handle the appeal.

Paris Olympic Staple Snoop Dogg Reunites With Dr. Dre  To Perform ‘The Next Episode’ During Closing Ceremony En Route To 2028 Los Angeles Games

image

Unless you were under a rock, Snoop Dogg pretty much was the mayor of the 2024 Paris Olympics. He was everywhere. Like they should have let him be a judge at half the sports because his iconic name was written all over anything that mattered at the games. The LA native, not only by contributed to NBC’s coverage but just delivered a memorable performance during the closing ceremony with none other than Dr. Dre.

Get this, the “Gin and Juice” rapper performed his smash “Drop It Like It’s Hot” on a LA themed beach backdrop with sandcastles, before his familiar cohort and super producer Dr. Dre joined him, performing their west coast classic hit “The Next Episode.”

ICYMI, the live performance was a part of a star studded lineup featuring A-list artists like Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and H.E.R., who paid homage to Snoop’s Long Beach roots, and was a preview to the upcoming 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.

We’re curious. Snoop was so vital to the marketing of the Paris games, how big will he be at the Los Angeles Olympics in his hometown?

Now let’s rewind. Snoop’s involvement with the Paris Olympics began even before the Games officially started. He was the man, pun intended, carrying the Olympic torch during its final leg towards Paris. He jogged through the streets of Saint-Denis, home to the Stade de France Olympic Stadium. Snoop pretty much set it off and kept the party going.

As we mentioned, during the Games, Snoop was a viral sensation. He has experience giving entertaining commentary but his calculated antics included cheering on the women’s gymnastics team, sharing laughs with Olympians, took swimming lessons from Michael Phelps and more!

Snoop made the Paris Olympics that more alive and we’re excited to see what he has in store in four years when the games come to his hometown.
