Latto’s Top 3 Female Rappers List Has Hip-Hop Heads Asking Questions

Latto’s love for rap dates back to when the world still knew her as Alyssa Stephens, and her skills as a lyricist and performer have only grown since then. Now that she’s a dominant force thanks to her 777 LP, and has collaborations with Jennifer Lopez, Mariah Carey, and Lil Wayne, it’s nice to see that the blonde beauty has done her homework. In a recent interview, Latto spoke about her top three femcees, though her answer has left more than a few people confused.

“Who are your top three females of all time in hip-hop?” the journalist conducting asked her guest from off camera. “Dead or alive?” Latto clarified, suggesting some of her biggest inspirations might no longer be with us. “[Lil’] Kim, gotta say Kim,” the “Wheelie” artist began. “Wait, my favourite? Or like, the best?” Stephens paused again before sharing her final two picks. “Imma say [Lisa] “Left Eye” [Lopes], rest in peace. Anddd, shawty,” Latto added at the end, leading many to assume she meant Nicki Minaj.

Latto’s Top Female MCs Include Left Eye and Lil’ Kim

Based on their past drama, it’s easy to understand why the reality starlet would be reluctant to mention the Queen of Rap by name. Still, with the success of her ongoing Pink Friday 2 Tour, it’s hard not to give Minaj props for all she’s accomplishing. Elsewhere, some are questioning what qualifies Left Eye as “the best,” but seeing as Latto performed with TLC in place of the late MC at the iHeartRadio Awards recently, we get why the tribute felt important to her.

Outside of rap, Latto has been boo’d up with a mystery beau (rumoured to be 21 Savage) for some time now but refuses to share her relationship with the public. Stephen A. Smith Reveals If Patrick Mahomes Is A Top 3 QB All Time

Stephen A. Smith didn’t have a ton of belief in Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. Overall, Smith had the Eagles winning the game as they had a better all-around team. However, Mahomes and the Chiefs went on to prove everyone wrong. Of course, Mahomes won the game with a last-minute field goal. Moreover, he won Super Bowl MVP thanks to a three-touchdown performance that Chiefs fans will be remembering for a very long time. At this point, it is hard not to admit Mahomes’ greatness.

Throughout this entire week, pundits have been giving their hot takes on Mahomes and what he means to the Chiefs franchise. Furthermore, many have been attempting to rank Mahomes on the all-time quarterback lists. Of course, there are some people who believe that he still has a ways to go before he can crack the top 5. However, there are others who are ready to crown him as a top 3 QB ever. As it turns out, this debate was had on First Take this morning.

In the video up above, Stephen A. took the position that Mahomes, was, indeed, the third-greatest quarterback ever. Although, he has his work cut out for him if he ever wants to get close to Tom Brady. In second, Smith had Joe Montana who has four Super Bowl titles. Needless to say, if Mahomes can get himself two more titles quickly, then he will likely surpass Montana fairly quickly. It also helps that Mahomes already has over 200 touchdowns and that he is a third of the way to Brady in just five years of being a starter.

The path for Mahomes to become the GOAT is set. Of course, it is not going to be easy, especially since the league is filled with talented players.
