ODESZA And SNAPDRAGON Share A Behind The Scenes Video From Their Groundbreaking ECHOES Installation

It’s been two weeks since ODESZA teamed up with, SETUP, and SNAPDRAGON and completed the largest, most complex, and (above all things) emotional fan experience of the year. Now, we’re celebrating the team’s work by sharing a behind-the-scenes look at the dedication and ambition that brought ECHOES to life.

“We always wanted to build something more and give back to fans,” Harrison Mills told Uproxx.

“All of us want to push the boundaries, all the time,” Clayton Knight continued.

With this focus, ODESZA worked alongside SETUP and SNAPDRAGON to transform the ECHOES concept into a reality: a physical installation welcoming ODESZA fans to the final three shows of their The Last Goodbye tour at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Quincy, WA. What’s amazing is that the collaboration started just two months prior to the reveal at the Gorge. And one thing is now obvious: none of it could have been possible without the power and performance of the SNAPDRAGON X Elite processor.

Every detail relied on the power of SNAPDRAGON, from the visuals and echoing sonics in the installation, the editing of the film itself, to the direct power of ECHOES built on the rogue environment of the Gorge.

“We’ve always had a bigger vision and now technology has gotten to a place where we can execute on a lot of these ideas,” Knight said. “Now seeing the renders on the computer to this finally coming to life, it really makes you think that the impossible is possible.”

The fourth part of this four-part series, “The Making Of ECHOES” (above) is a celebration of this incredible feat of turning ECHOES from a creative storyboard to a reality on the grounds at the Gorge. From the fan moments of pure joy to the crew working through the night making sure every last detail was perfect, and ODESZA’s reaction to ECHOES just hours before the first of their finale shows, it’s a powerfully moving wrap-up to a monumental event.

For anyone who knows the band, ODESZA clearly isn’t afraid of a little spectacle. Whether it’s bringing in a massive drumline or adding intense pyro to their tours, nothing is off the table for the electronic duo.

The third part of this four-part series, “Power To Move” (above) shows the final week leading up to ODESZA’s finale at the Gorge. The pressure is on to make all the pieces work together, beat the clock (and heat!), and deliver an installation that deeply connects with fans.

Watch to see if the three collaborators — ODESZA, SNAPDRAGON, and SETUP — get everything done in time and build an installation that was truly resonant with 66,000 concert attendees.

ODESZA Unveil Part Two Of Their Massive ECHOES Buildout With SETUP & Snapdragon

With just a few days left before ODESZA’s monumental closeout of their The Last Goodbye tour at the Gorge, the prolific electronic duo and their collaborators are racing against time to bring the immersive installation they’ve named ECHOES to their fans.

Earlier this month, we saw the duo teaming with SETUP and Snapdragon to plan this monumental project for July 4, 5, and 6 at the Gorge. This installation will be the duo’s most technically ambitious project to date, paying homage to their groundbreaking career, the community they’ve built, and showcasing their unrelenting commitment to technology and jaw-dropping visuals.

The first video, “The Journey Begins,” shows the duo working out how their recursive design and themes with Jenny Feter, Creative Director of the project, and the team from SETUP will come to life, in collaboration with the groundbreaking speed and efficiency of a Snapdragon-powered PC.

“I think it’s going to be really cool, I haven’t seen anyone do something like this,” ODESZA’s Harrison Mills notes. “It’s going to be really special.”

Out today, the second episode (above) shows the duo working tirelessly with the Snapdragon and SETUP teams across multiple time zones in Berlin, New York, Australia, Chicago, and California to bring the once-in-a-lifetime installation to the fans to bridge ODESZA’s special moments and music together to close out with a bang.

With the support of Snapdragon, the team has taken on the impossible. Stay tuned to see the incredible end result.
