Stephen A. Smith Offers Shocking LeBron-MJ Hot Take

When it comes to the GOAT debate in basketball, no one seems to engage in it more often than Stephen A. Smith. Overall, this debate is extremely annoying. Although it never goes anywhere, people insist on having it. LeBron James and Michael Jordan are neck and neck for GOAT status. However, it depends on which generation you grew up in. If you grew up in the 2000s and 2010s, LeBron is your guy. If you watched basketball in the 80s and 90s, you pick Jordan. Needless to say, there is no convincing anyone of changing their position.

Stephen A. has always been adamant that his mind is made up in the GOAT debate. He will forever be choosing Michael Jordan. After all, those six titles in six NBA Finals speak for themself. However, Stephen A. will still talk about the NBA Mt. Rushmore on First Take. Typically, LeBron is on there, although last week he said Steph Curry could replace him. After going up 3-1 against the Warriors on Monday night, Smith has changed his tune on LeBron. In fact, it seems to be a drastic shift in perspective.

Stephen A. Speaks

As you can see in the clip above, Stephen A. says “it would warrant a discussion” as it pertains to LeBron passing Michael Jordan for GOAT status. Of course, the caveat here is that James wins a fifth NBA title this season. At this point, the possibility most definitely exists. Overall, the Lakers are likely going to knock off the Warriors. Subsequently, they will play either the Nuggets or the Suns, who don’t look so good right now. From there, the Sixers, Heat, Celtics, and Knicks are all showing some vulnerability in the postseason. It won’t be easy, but it can happen.

Whether or not Stephen A. actually changes his mind, remains to be seen. If LeBron does win a title this year, and scores a ton of points while doing so, it will be hard to vote against him. Let us know who you think the NBA GOAT is, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

Stephen A. Smith Has A Question For Jordan Poole

Stephen A. Smith is someone who prides himself on “telling it like it is.” Overall, not everyone is down with the type of commentary he provides. However, he has mostly kept the lights on at ESPN over the years, which has to mean something. He knows how to push buttons and he also knows how to get ratings. At the end of the day, what he does is an art form, and you can’t deny his genius. Moreover, with the NBA Playoffs in full swing, Stephen A. has been able to get off a barrage of hot takes.

Although, not every take is a hot one. Sometimes, the First Take host is just looking to hold players accountable. The latest person to get that kind of treatment from Smith is none other than Jordan Poole. The Golden State Warriors star has not been great throughout the playoffs. In fact, during Game 4, Poole came off the bench and played 10 minutes. However, he didn’t score a single point. This subsequently prompted Smith to take to Twitter, where he had a question for Poole.

Stephen A. Just Wants To Know Something

“Jordan Poole, last time I checked he gets a check,” Stephen A. began. “Last time I checked he wears a Golden State uniform just like the rest of the team. Last time I checked he’s on the team bus, he gets into the team hotels, gets that per diem, he gets those meals, he got a salary, $140 million contract. He got his bag. Where the hell he been?” This is a very good question to ask, and we’re sure Warriors fans are feeling the same thing right now. Jordan Poole was supposed to be a stud for them. Instead, he has been a dud.

At this point, the Warriors are going to need to dig deep if they want to get out of this hole. They need to win three-straight games, which is no easy task. Although, if any team can do it, it would probably be them. Let us know what you think of the Jordan Poole situation, in the comments down below. Stephen A. Smith Unleashes On The Knicks

Stephen A. Smith has always been a massive fan of the New York Knicks. However, the team hasn’t always given him a lot to cheer for. In fact, the Knicks have not won an NBA title since 1973. Overall, this has made New York basketball fans extremely sad. Regardless, they still support the team because they know it is the right thing to do. Even if this causes severe psychosis, there are still going to out and cheer on the orange and blue, whenever they can. Luckily, this year has seen a welcomed change.

In the first round of the playoffs, the Knicks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games. Subsequently, they drew the Miami Heat, who are an eighth seed. With that in mind, it was believed that the Knicks would come through with the series win. However, the Heat have proven to be a very difficult opponent. The Heat won Game 1, made Game 2 very interesting despite a loss, and then won Game 3. Now, the Knicks are down 2-1 in the series, and tonight, they could be down by two.

Stephen A. Goes Off

As a result, Stephen A. is very worried about his Knicks. He knows they could be in trouble, and he wants the whole team to be better. Overall, he was particularly harsh on Julius Randle, who is extremely inconsistent. Moreover, he is more so worried about none other than Jimmy Butler. “Jimmy Buckets is about to run y’all out of there. … The man is coming to take you out. What are you going to do New York Knicks?” Smith asked. It is a very good question as Butler looks like a man on a mission these playoffs.

The Miami Heat are one of those teams that is always dangerous, regardless of what seed they are. In the bubble, they made it to the NBA Finals. Meanwhile, they were very close to going to the Finals last season, as well. Needless to say, where there is a will, there is a way for the Heat. Let us know if you think they will knock off the Knicks, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the sports world.

Stephen A. Smith Changes Tune On New York Knicks Playoff Run

Stephen A. Smith and the rest of Knicks nation were flying high last week. The team won its first playoff series since 2013 over the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, the Knicks second-round matchup with the Heat didn’t start well. On Sunday, the Knicks proved to be no match for the Miami Heat. Miami lit up Madison Square Garden from deep. As well as, Jimmy Butler having a typical Butler playoff performance. According to Smith, the Knicks could be in massive trouble.

The legendary media personality didn’t hold back on his Knicks Monday. Smith was appalled by the defensive effort of his Knicks. However, Smith did give credit to the shooting of the Heat. It would have been hard for any team to beat a team that was shooting that well. However, the Knicks are in desperate need of Julius Randle to return. Randle was injured in the first half of the series-clinching game over Cleveland. Now the team is just trying to hold it together until his return.

Stephen A. Smith Losing Faith In Knicks

The Heat were able to feast from every area of the floor on Sunday. The missing Randle could have impacted the game by being another low post presence for the Knicks. However, it felt like the Knicks had no answer for the spectacular shooting performance of the Heat. Randle’s availability for Game 2 has yet to be determined. But if the former Kentucky Wildcats star can’t go, the Knicks will need to dig deep. Losing both games in the Garden will be hard for the Knicks to come back from.

Smith and the diehard New York fanbase know the challenge ahead. The team still has players that can lead them to victory without Randle. First-year guard Jalen Brunson has been a welcomed sight to a team desperate for good point guard play. One has to believe that Brunson is capable of carrying the load while the team waits on Randle to return. Is Stephen A. Smith’s Knicks in serious jeopardy of being sent home? Can New York overcome Randle’s absence? Let us know your opinions on the Knicks in our comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here with HNHH.

Nia Long Thanks Stephen A. Smith For Saying She Deserves An Apology

Stephen A. Smith recently defended Nia Long with much passion concerning the cheating scandal of her ex, former Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka. Not only that, but his words resonated so profoundly with the actress that she thanked him in the comments section of his post. “Even if they’re not together, that is the father of her child,” Smith began. “If you mention him and another woman, inevitably, she’s going to come up. How come nobody thought about the sister? How come they just left her out there standing on her own? I will always defend her. I will always defend her on this issue. It was- how could you do that?

You didn’t have to do it that way,” Stephen A. Smith continued. “But to have a press conference and put this business tacitly or otherwise on Front Street, you didn’t think about Nia Long at all. But you thought about the other woman, who purportedly was white. And the one woman in this equation who was innocent and victimized was not the woman that Ime Udoka was messing around with. It was Nia Long. She was the one screwed over!”

Stephen A. Smith Defends Nia Long

In the comments, the actress shared her thoughts on his response and expressed gratitude for his support. “Thank you @stephenasmith for your support. TBC…” she wrote, and added another comment quoting none other than Malcolm X. “‘The most disrespected person in America is the black woman’ – Malcolm X.” Moreover, Nia Long has been dealing with this scandal quite gracefully, despite having to hear about it through social media. Another aspect that many haven’t considered in this equation is how this affects her son, who she’s spent a lot of time caring and advocating for. “My only focus right now is my youngest son ’cause he’s having a really tough time,” she expressed. “I’m sure I have some things that I’m suppressing, but I have to do that to take care of him first. That’s the giving. It’s natural.

“I’m sure I’ll have to circle back with myself several times to reconcile things, but the one thing I’m trying not to harbor is anger,” she continued. “The Celtics made a choice to make my family business public, and I don’t understand why. It could’ve all been handled internally. I do understand why, but I can’t talk about it. Maybe one day I will. You know, fear drives stupidity, and I’ll leave that right there. I’ve learned that I’m stronger than I ever thought I was. [The support for her online] saved my mental well-being because I felt uplifted by the community in a way that felt like my family was checking in and making sure I was OK. And that, I appreciated.” Stick around on HNHH for the latest on Stephen A. Smith and Nia Long.

Stephen A. Smith’s Bold Claim On LeBron James Era

Stephen A. Smith has been in a more jovial mood this NBA Playoffs. Smith has tons of confidence in his New York Knicks, who now have a shot at the Eastern Conference Finals. However, the legendary television host also hasn’t shied away from his bold takes this post-season. The newest take involves the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James. According to Smith, a Game 6 loss for the Lakers could spell the end of another championship coming to Los Angeles in the James era.

On Friday’s episode of First Take, the crew discussed the big game between the Grizzlies and Lakers. For Smith, this game is the end all, be all, for James’ legacy in Los Angeles. The host stated that a Game 6 loss would all but guarantee the Lakers will not win another title with James. James helped lead the team to a title back in 2020. However, since that time, the Lakers haven’t even sniffed a championship run. Everyone knows the sand in the hourglass is running low. But could this really be it?

Stephen A. Smith Losing Hope In Lakers

The Lakers-Grizzlies series has been one to remember. As Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks made waves with comments made earlier in the series. Including telling the media that he doesn’t respect James. While calling the Lakers star old. However, the Lakers got the memo, as the team rattled off three straight wins. But Game 5 proved that the Grizzlies will not be going away easily. Memphis had the game in the bag from the opening tip. Game 6 really could be the last chance the Lakers have at sealing the series.

If you’re a Lakers fan, the hope is that Game 6 will be the final game of the series. There was a lot of talk heading into the series that the Lakers could pull off the upset. However, the Grizzlies may feel some disrespect from that. As the Grizzlies are the current two seed in the Western Conference. Expect some fireworks in Friday’s matchup. Do you agree with Stephen A. Smith’s take on LeBron’s Lakers legacy? Let us know your predictions on the series in our comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here with HNHH.

Stephen A. Smith’s Knicks Vs. Heat Prediction

Stephen A. Smith celebrated like every other fan in the Big Apple on Wednesday night. After eliminating the Cleveland Cavaliers, the New York Knicks won their first playoff series since 2013. The Knicks didn’t have to wait long to find out who their second-round opponent would be. The Miami Heat pulled off a massive upset over the Milwaukee Bucks. Now the second round will include a rivalry renewed with the Heat and Knicks. However, Smith doesn’t seem too worried about his Knicks.

On Thursday’s edition of First Take, Smith was asked how much the Knicks should fear the recent performances of Jimmy Butler. At the same time, Smith didn’t diminish the amazing first-round performance from Butler. However, he also doesn’t believe the Knicks will be afraid of Butler either. In a passionate response, Smith gave every Knicks fan the emotions on Thursday. Smith believes the moment could be too big for the Heat when they arrive at Madison Square Garden. Check out the clip of Smith’s firey response below.

Stephen A. Smith Has High Hopes For Knicks

The Knicks never really felt the challenge with the Cavaliers in round one. The series surprisingly ended after five. Now, the Knicks will welcome a team with nothing to lose to New York. However, the Knicks could be down a huge star at the start of the series. Knicks star forward Julius Randle was injured in the team’s Game 5 victory in Cleveland. Randle reappeared on the sideline for the Knicks in the second half. However, he returned in street clothes.

At the same time, the Heat are also dealing with injuries. Miami sharpshooter Tyler Herro broke his hand earlier in their first-round series with Milwaukee. Herro would be unavailable for the team unless they were to make the finals. The second-round matchup between the Heat and Knicks is destined to be great basketball. Do you agree with Stephen A. Smith that the Knicks will handle business? Or will the Heat continue their miracle run through the Eastern Conference? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. JJ Redick Delivers Harsh Response To Stephen A. Smith

JJ Redick has seemingly had enough of Stephen A. Smith’s comments on Kawhi Leonard. Smith sent social media into a frenzy last week after his tough comments on Leonard. The First Take host stated that Leonard is the worst superstar in NBA history. While many have yet to understand the actual definition of Smith’s claim. However, Smith is still standing by the comments he made last week. But Redick has heard enough of the slander on Leonard during his recent injury.

Redick attempted to be patient with Smith over the topic. However, on Wednesday’s edition of the show, Redick let all of his frustrations out on Smith’s take. Redick mentioned seeing Leonard rehab from an injury in the past. According to Redick, Leonard takes his rehab very seriously. The former Clippers star stated that Leonard isn’t the kind of player that would sit out just to sit out. Redick believes that Leonard does everything he possibly can to be a part of the game. Check out Redick’s full comments in the video below.

JJ Redick Defends Kawhi Leonard

Fans find Redick’s commentary refreshing for sports talk. It is always nice to hear the opinions of someone who has played the game at the highest level. It is easy for someone like Smith to make harsh comments directed at Leonard. Because he hasn’t been in those same shoes. However, Redick knows exactly what Leonard is feeling in his current mindset. Redick even mentioned the mental toll that a physical injury can take on an athlete.

Redick’s strong comments are more than likely not going to change Smith’s comments on Leonard. Time and time again, when given the opportunity, Smith has defended his comments. Leonard has created his own path during his NBA journey. The story of the NBA can’t be told without discussing a chapter on Leonard. However, injuries seem to be derailing what looked like a potentially great run for the star in Los Angeles. Do you agree with JJ Redick’s assessment of what Leonard is currently going through? Let us know in the comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here with HNHH.

Stephen A. Smith’s Hot Take On Kawhi Leonard

Stephen A. Smith is still on the Kawhi Leonard diss train this week. Last week, Smith called Leonard one of the worst superstars in NBA history. Now Smith is taking it a step further. On Wednesday’s edition of First Take, Smith made a statement that has sent the NBA community into a frenzy. The legendary host claimed that it is time for the Clippers to move on from Leonard. Actually, Smith stated that the Clippers should force Leonard to retire. However, not just because of his injury issues.

In the segment, Smith discussed how Leonard is only bringing the franchise down. While his injuries are a large part of the reason. However, Smith feels Leonard doesn’t bring anything to the franchise. Smith claims that Leonard doesn’t market the Clippers brand. Leonard’s injuries are not being questioned by Smith. The show’s host mentions he has heard stories about how severe Leonard’s injuries actually are. However, Smith stands by his comments from last week.

Stephen A. Smith Claims Clippers Should Move On From Leonard

Forcing someone to retire may seem a little drastic. However, Leonard hasn’t been available for the Clippers when it matters most. The former Finals MVP hasn’t played in over 65 games in a regular season since 2016-17. As well as missing all of last season due to a torn ACL. While it might not be the right decision, maybe Smith has a point with the team moving on. However, looking for a team to trade him to could prove to be difficult.

The Clippers have once again finished a disappointing playoff run. Of course, without their two biggest stars, the team was destined for a tough road. The Clippers lost the Phoenix Suns in 5 games in their opening-round series. However, it seems like the team could be facing an even more challenging road with Leonard. Do you agree with Stephen A. Smith on his retirement thoughts about Leonard? Can Leonard ever be a top player again once he returns from injury? Let us know in the comment section what you think. Stephen A. Smith Clarifies Comments On Kawhi Leonard

Stephen A. Smith made a big splash with comments he made last week. The media icon went scorched earth with his thoughts on the legacy of Clippers star Kawhi Leonard. Leonard has battled numerous injuries throughout his career. Including a knee injury that has him sidelined for the Clippers current playoff run. There’s no question that Leonard is one of the best players of his generation. However, Smith believes that Leonard will be remembered for being a much different player.

Last week on an edition of First Take, Smith made the comment that Leonard may be the worst superstar of all time. Those comments quickly spread through social media like wildfire. With many people wondering just what Smith meant by his words. During his remarks, Smith didn’t discredit the accolades that Leonard has acquired over his career. But instead, Smith spoke about the recent string of injuries that Leonard has dealt with. Smith claimed that Leonard’s recent availability has made his star shine a lot less than what many may conceive it to be shining.

Stephen A. Smith Stands By Recent Comments

However, over the weekend, unfortunate news was announced for Leonard’s family. Leonard’s sister was sentenced to life in prison for a murder of an elderly woman dated back in 2019. With that recent news, Smith wanted to clarify his statement from last week. “I said some things last week about Kawhi Leonard as a superstar. I meant every word of it. Having said all that, I said it unaware of some of the personal things his family has gotten into. I had no knowledge of that at the time.”

However, Smith did not apologize for his comments made toward Leonard. Smith stated that he didn’t know Leonard’s family was going through such a hard time when the comments were made. But Smith still stood strong in his statement about Leonard, the basketball player. Do you believe that Stephen A Smtih’s comments were unnecessary toward Leonard? Also, what did Smith’s statement on Monday really do for the comments he made? Let us know your thoughts on the issue in our comment section. For the latest NBA news, keep it right here with HNHH.
