Devin Booker Teams with Converse for New ‘Chuck 70’ Sneaker

Devin Booker unveiled the most recent iteration of Converse’s most recognizable design, the Chuck 70, in the tunnel before last night’s Phoenix Suns vs. LA Clippers game.

Devin Booker’s third NBA All-Star collaboration with Converse is brought to life with the shoe and a short film that goes along with it. They capture his idea for a modernized Chuck 70.

Booker’s fondness for the Chuck 70 is well known; in 2022, he declared the sneaker to be his favorite and displayed his big collection. It’s a mainstay of the tunnel fit titan’s classic, minimalist wardrobe, so much so that Booker asked Converse to design and produce his version of the silhouette. Booker simplified it to create a blank canvas ready for a simple, classic aesthetic.

Converse, a company built on the principle of creative expression, and Booker are working together to produce a short film that will realize his cinematic vision. The movie shows Booker traveling across the desert to an unspecified destination while fusing iconic American imagery with an iconic silhouette, pointing to his continued quest of a legacy both on and off the court.

An undyed egret canvas upper, a tonal embroidered Chuck patch, and a clean tape midsole without pinstripes or toe bumpers are how Booker realized his concept for the style. On April 12, the Converse x Devin Booker Chuck 70 will be accessible worldwide via Converse.com and the Nike SNKRS app. On April 13, it will also be accessible at Foot Locker and a few other retailers.

Air Jordan 1 High ’85 “Metallic Red” Coming Next Year: Details

One of the best sneakers ever made is none other than the Air Jordan 1. Overall, this is the sneaker that started it all for Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand. The shoe was released in 1984, and to this day, is one of the best sellers from Nike. Although, it should be noted that the High OG we know today is not like the sneaker that was released almost 40 years ago. In fact, the original version of the shoe had a straighter cut to it. While the High OG remains more prevalent, the High ’85 version has received quite a bit of shine thanks to recent nostalgia.

Subsequently, we have seen plenty of great Air Jordan 1 High ’85 colorways make their way to the market. Typically, these colorways always seem to bank on people’s nostalgia. This is due to the fact that the High ’85 is the perfect silhouette for retros. Back in the day, there were plenty of amazing colorways that came out with this specific cut, and Nike is always eager to pay homage. Now, we even have a teaser for a new High ’85 that is set to drop next year.

According to @zsneakerheadz on Instagram, this Air Jordan 1 is the “Metallic Red” colorway. This is an iconic OG version of the silhouette, and fans will be very excited to see these back on the market. Firstly, the shoe is covered in white leather. From the toe box to the overlays, 80 percent of the shoe is white. Secondly, we get a nice bright red on the Nike swoosh, cuff, Wings logo, and even the outsole. All of this comes together to create a sneaker that simply cannot be stopped in the warmer months.

As for a release date, well, we still do not have one. Overall, this shoe is set to be dropped in the Spring of 2024. For now, however, this is simply a rumor. Uninterrupted x Nike LeBron 20 “Speak Your Truth” Gets New Release Date

In the official images above and below, you can see what this sneaker is going for. For the most part, Uninterrupted and Nike are going for some muted tones. Firstly, the upper is mostly covered in black canvas. Secondly, the midsole has a gum look that contrasts nicely. From there, we get some beige laces and a beige translucent Nike swoosh that is overlayed on top of a blue swoosh. Additionally, we get even more blue on the tongue and inner lining of the sneaker. Overall, it is a very solid look that all fans can enjoy.

Well, it seems like that is the case, once again, here. In the Instagram post above, it was made clear that over one million pairs of this shoe will be released. Despite these high stock numbers, there is no telling how hard these shoes will be to cop. At the end of the day, the sneaker game has proven to be quite brutal over the last few years.
