Hip-Hop Albums That Grew On Us The Most In 2024

Between the biggest battle of the last 20 years, YSL’s stint in the longest criminal trial in Georgia history, and the downfall of a previously unstoppable executive, hip-hop had a pretty massive 2024. Sadly, these stories and many others garnered a lot of headlines and pushed the culture’s proliferation far outside of its musical boundaries. Many folks re-listening to “Family Matters” and “6:16 in LA” did so to catch the gaps in evidence and strategy, not to reflect on their melodic or lyrical prowesses. So it goes without saying that many of the art form’s most compelling and impressive offerings over the past 12 months or so flew completely under the radar… Even our own, for a time. But we’re very happy to admit that we slept on some gems and rounded up five of the most underrated rap albums of this year that grew on us the most.

These hip-hop projects took some time to settle in for many different reasons. They all came out pretty early in the year, back when we still had larger releases on our horizon or found ourselves completely overwhelmed by surprise diss tracks. We’ve already sung some of their praises before and want to double down on them, whereas other picks never got their proper shine. However, no matter why we initially brushed these records off, their merits in performance, production, thematic depth, catchiness, or idiosyncrasy eventually eroded any skepticism. Obviously, we missed out on a lot of hidden treasures in 2024, and looking back on everyone’s sleeper picks will be one of the year’s very last treats for the rap community. Before we head into the next quarter of the century, don’t skip out on these outstanding works.

Bruiser Wolf – My Story Got Stories

My Story Got Stories easily ranks among 2024’s funniest hip-hop albums for the enthralling and unmistakable delivery of Bruiser Wolf, one of Danny Brown’s Bruiser Brigade colleagues from Detroit. But many fans heard his storybook tone and kept their praise to only that. Despite the acquired taste that this project’s main artist and production pallet employ, don’t miss out on some of the sharpest, most clever, and most hilarious punchlines of the year. “Everything I do is monumental / It’s a cycle, period, menstrual” had us laughing all throughout 2024, and there’s plenty of heartfelt sadness and melancholy to balance out that sense of humor. Dusty samples, languid boom-bap beats, vivid street life descriptions, and quick-hitting song structures make for a whole slew of stories that walk the line between harrowing and hilarious. Also, the focus on accountability and loyalty informs the bravado with a lot of conviction.

All that said, don’t think that Bruiser Wolf’s My Story Got Stories is just a collection of old-timey, quirky, comical asides. “2 Bad” with Danny Brown and Zelooperz is one of the most ridiculously animated bangers of the year, and “I Was Taught To” with Trinidad James is a trill and low-riding cruise. Some of the stark and skipping sample flips, such as the atmospherically stretched-out vocals of “Holla At Ya Mans” and the static-laden soul on “Dope Ain’t Good” with Stretch Money, can bleed into each other on occasion. Fortunately, once you really focus on the instrumentals and verses, it all comes together as a psychedelic, rugged, and somehow unsettling album experience. It just goes to show that a whimsical perspective can bring the light out of the darkest street corners, which was an unparalleled process to undergo in 2024.

TiaCorine – Almost There

When thinking about the best rap albums of any given year, you might initially call attention to what feels deep, meaningful, or thematically significant. But then you’d have to balance that out with some of the most fun and vibrant music of that same period, and we can’t let 2024 go by without putting TiaCorine’s Almost There EP into that conversation. It’s eight tracks of no-frills plugg and rage-inspired material with some truly catchy melodies and moments, such as the phased-out and swirling buzzes on “Blick” with Key Glock and the choppy triplet embellishments on “Burnt.” What really creeps under your skin and leaps out without warning, though, is the North Carolina spitter’s vocal dynamism and flow control on here. It’s a big part of what makes these beats come alive, even as they might not hit your ears as particularly unique instrumentals.

For every deep-toned and menacing trap banger like “Give No F**k,” there’s a bubbly and sweet wave to ride on cuts like “Shamone.” Production-wise, there’s a lot here to create a solid resting place for TiaCorine’s displays: acidic synths, dense bass, sharp trap percussion, dreamy pads, and airy tones. She handles it all with a lot of charisma and surprising versatility, as her raspy growls on the Luh Tyler-assisted “Yung Joc” match the bass while her malleable flow delivery compliments the crystalline keys. All in all, Almost There occupies multiple hip-hop moods and appeals at the same time. “Olive” with Zelooperz is still one of our favorite ragers of the year, whereas “Bonnet” and “Nah He Tweakin” round the EP out with more relaxed and ethereal melodic dominance. Despite its short length and simple nature, this is one of rap’s most satisfying batches of ear candy in 2024.

Quadeca – SCRAPYARD

By the time our mid-year list rolled around, Quadeca’s new mixtape SCRAPYARD was already burrowing itself into our brains. Still, a lot of that appeal came down to the enduring catchiness and emotional resonance of the Los Angeles native’s 2023 EPs leading up to the full album. The tender bossa nova and alt-tinged hyperpop fusions of “A LA CARTE” featuring brakence, the brief yet minimally glitched-out confidence of “I MAKE IT LOOK EFFORTLESS,” and the jittery distortion on “GUESS WHO?” were leftovers from last year that, when we initially listened to SCRAPYARD, ranked head and shoulders above its newer offerings. Eventually, the controlled chaos of genre mixes, mood swings, and production techniques of the whole package really settled in as an expressive, cathartic, and engrossing full-length.

Harcore Quadeca fans finally got “BEING YOURSELF” on an official release, introducing its cavernous bass and fluttering flows to a whole new base. “PRETTY PRIVILEGE” draws from – and evolves – the emo-trap tradition with rich hand percussion and intoxicating electric guitar tones. Perhaps the biggest grower is “U TRIED THAT THING WHERE UR HUMAN,” whose initially off-putting whispers perfectly prelude an ambient, folky, lo-fi beat that gives more singer-songwriter than seasoned MC. Add a soulful boom-bap cut in “WAY TOO MANY FRIENDS” and you’ve got one of the most creative, undefinable, and colorful albums of 2024 in any genre. Maybe that’s why the 24-year-old’s latest LP took some time to grow. It’s not solely hip-hop – or any genre, for that matter. Yet its assembly of disparate scraps to craft an earthy sound not only creates amazing rap music as a result, but also excellently embodies the art form’s ethos.

Tierra Whack – WORLD WIDE WHACK

A week after Tierra Whack dropped her long-awaited debut full-length album WORLD WIDE WHACK, Kendrick Lamar lit the rap game on fire and reset the year for our minds. It was honestly a huge disservice and misstep on our part, as the Philly native came through with the vibrance and wonder that she’s known for while adding some new flourishes to her arsenal. For example, “MS BEHAVE” is one of her most brash and bass-heavy songs yet, and “X” continues this dark and primal percussive journey. Longtime fans still got some of the low-key, crisp, and perky jams they love such as “DIFFICULT” and “INVITATION,” in addition to Tierra’s most diverse and organically fused sonic pallet yet. The project travels from triumphant and egocentric excess to down-trodden and despondent tribulations, although it never loses its personal and intimate charm. In other words, it fittingly and progressively expands Whack World.

Nevertheless, Tierra Whack’s experimentation and songwriting focus on WORLD WIDE WHACK doesn’t automatically jump out at you. Somber interludes like “NUMB” and “BURNING BRAINS” are pretty unassuming at first, and only reveal their powers once the stickiness of other tracks wears off on you. Maybe you can attribute this to the thin trap drums on a lot of beats here, or to the washed-out aesthetics that cloak much of each song’s atmosphere. But you eventually realize what’s taking all that extra space up, and it’s the 29-year-old’s captivating personality and presence. It’s sometimes understated, but those partially obscured moments always pair up with relatable lyricism and grounded themes of identity, contradiction, and emotional volatility. It might not be the most bombastic or instantly gratifying LP of 2024, but it certainly stands among its most vulnerable and varied.

Cavalier – Different Type Time

Finally, we wanted to shout out Backwoodz Studioz for backing one of the best lyrical displays of 2024. Cavalier’s Different Type Time reflects the passions of a rapper unsatisfied with the perfectionist rat race of the music industry, and these 21 tracks reflect that level of frustrated inspiration with grace. Boom-bap permeates throughout calm and collected instrumental clouds on cuts such as “Can’t Leave It Alone” with Eric Jaye, and the project overall feels like a particularly healing piece of underground hip-hop. Of course, jazzy passages and reflective ambiance define much of this LP as well. It makes more fiery fare like “Doodoo Damien” hit that much harder, especially when the Brooklyn-born and New Orleans-based lyricist weaves intricate rhyme schemes together with raw perception wise beyond his years. Since it’s such a familiar sound, it’s up to the listener to dig through the diamonds in these verses.

As much as the pen dominates Different Type Time, Cavalier also crafted some of the most gorgeous soulful fusions of hip-hop this year, such as “Think About It” with Billzegypt. There’s such an immediate and in-your-face approach to a lot of the mixing behind the instrumentation and percussion here, adding this live feel to narratives of struggle that turns them into consistently evocative songs. Even though 2024 had more daring or widespread challenges to rap’s status quo, this album shows off the power of tradition, homage, and fundamental ingenuity with no need for invasive bells and whistles. It’s a very blunt record in that sense, even if the bars here will always warrant a rewind. For those listeners looking for the furtherance of the culture’s linguistic excellence, storytelling prowess, and foundational elements, this offers even more.

Hip-Hop Albums We’re Still Waiting On For 2024

Explosive beef, chart-topping albums, critical acclaim, huge festival moments, performance highlights, financial success, and plenty of amazing LPs have made 2024 quite the killer year for hip-hop. Fortunately for fans, it seems like things are about to get even better with new projects from Ice Spice, NxWorries, Megan Thee Stallion, Lupe Fiasco, Denzel Curry, Don Toliver, Lil Yachty and James Blake, and many more officially dropping very soon. But beyond confirmed release dates, there are also a handful of rumored drops, delayed rollouts, teased arrivals, and mythical full-length mysteries surrounding some of our favorite artists this year.

As such, we decided to sit down, look back, and think of what are the most anticipated or consequential hip-hop albums that we’ve still yet to receive in 2024 (excluding these with official release dates). Some of these are confirmed to exist and be dropping this year but don’t have an official release date at press time, others are long-teased or delayed LPs that have been in the rumor mill for a while, and a few are simply wishful thinking based on recent moves, singles, releases, announcements, etc. We obviously missed a lot (namely Lil Uzi Vert’s LUV Is Rage 3 and Barter 16, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s Missionary, Polo G’s Hood Poet, rumors of a new Pusha T album coming soon, and many more), so let us know what project you’re looking forward to getting in 2024 the most down in the comments section below.

Cardi BTBA

First off, we have what might be the most long-awaited album on this list, which is whatever Cardi B decides to drop as her sophomore effort. With previous singles between disparate eras in mind like “WAP,” “Bongos,” and “Enough (Miami),” it’s clear that she’s been working on this for a long time and has changed her plans at almost every turn for whatever reason. In fact, Bardi recently said that there won’t be a new album in 2024, but her label Atlantic Records seemed to disagree. We don’t know exactly what’s going on behind the scenes, but hopefully, we get this sooner rather than later. It feels like we’ve been in rollout mode for this longer than any other LP on this list.

J. Cole – The Fall Off

Cardi B’s next album is actually tied for the project that’s been anticipated for the longest, and J. Cole’s The Fall Off has definitely been anticipated the most between those two and, frankly, out of any album here. Not only is it coming from one of rap’s greatest pens of the past 15 years, but its long-teased title indicates something tough to achieve these days: finality. Whether or not Cole drops It’s A Boy before this or if he dives straight in, this could easily be one of hip-hop’s biggest moments that might see one of its most beloved artists have a graceful exit. If it’s everything the Dreamville boss suggests, this will be a top-tier release in this catalog, if not his best.

ASAP Rocky – Don’t Be Dumb

Moving onto another frustratingly long wait for an album, A$AP Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb is a downright tease at this point. It’s been six years since TESTING. We’ve gotten massive performances and singles, two children with Rihanna (who’s also on the hot seat for long-awaited albums), a whole lot of interviews and press, merch, events… and still nothing. Of course, we’re sure that the Mob’s boss has some legitimate reasons for these delays and really wants to perfect his craft and set everything up exactly as he wants. We don’t blame Rocky for that, as we think that it will probably be an amazing body of work, but he’s running out of chances to make it as big of a splash as it could be.

Eminem – The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)

Well, “Houdini” came out, and it was such a divisive and aggressively combative single that maybe you’re not looking to Eminem’s next album that much. But perhaps that’s the trick: despite all the hate his recent catalog received, The Death Of Slim Shady might be Marshall Mathers’ biggest transformation in decades. His alter ego remained somewhere in his albums no matter what he made, and this could either be a cringe-inducing nostalgia bait or an unmasked look at the real emotions and processes behind the Detroit legend’s place in the rap game. Maybe he’ll focus on reception, maybe it will be on his antics, but it will definitely be one of hip-hop’s most buzzing conversations of 2024.

All the new Chance The Rapper singles have folks feeling all warm and fuzzy inside, a zone we love to be back in following The Big Day‘s exaggerated attempts to achieve this in 2019. Star Line promises a lot of warmth, introspection, humble perspectives, and lyrical skill based on singles like “Together” and “Buried Alive.” The Chicago spitter is already sharing a lot about his evolution and mind state through these cuts, and the total package will presumably be even more therapeutic and powerful. It feels like he’s growing into himself and not out of his past choices, which is exactly how one should bounce back after jokes and trolling became synonymous with his name and that of his last album.

JID – Forever & A Day + Metro Boomin Collab Album

JID’s got double the pressure to perform but half the doubt in his abilities compared to everyone else on this list. He dropped one of the best albums of the decade so far with The Forever Story and now has not one, but two LPs on the docket. The first is the Atlanta lyricist’s follow-up (or deluxe?) to his 2022 album, reportedly titled Forever & A Day, and the second is a teased Metro Boomin collab project. For what it’s worth, Metro’s already had a busy year with his Future series and might have even more on the way with 21 Savage for a potential Savage Mode III release. But the thought of two new full-lengths from one of the best rappers working today just has that special sauce to it, so here’s hoping we get at least one of them in 2024.

Missy Elliott – TBA

Rap Albums 2024 Coming Out Soon Schedule Anticipated Hip Hop News

You didn’t think we forgot about Timbaland teasing Missy Elliott’s first new solo album in almost 20 years back in 2023, did you? While there isn’t as much current hype or reason for speculation, the idea that Misdemeanor is working on new music and releasing it soon sounds too good to be true. We’d love to be wrong on that, because with a tour later this year and other extracurricular projects, we’d be absolutely ecstatic for more greatness from the Virginia native. Like other albums on this list, this doesn’t really only apply to 2024 specifically, as it’s one of those teased that came before that we’re just constantly on the lookout for (much like Boldy James and J Dilla’s mythical Drug Dilla).

Kanye West & Ty Dolla Sign – VULTURES 2 & 3

Now, we’re back to one of the biggest moments of 2024 that quickly became one of its biggest question marks. We don’t know for sure why Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s VULTURES 1 sequels haven’t come out as scheduled (twice or maybe even three times in a row). I mean, it’s a Ye rollout: at least we got one album, right? Nevertheless, it feels like this was the “big” 2024 rap narrative before the Drake and Kendrick Lamar business heated up. Maybe there’s a connection there, but the more likely answer is that the duo just wasn’t ready, able, or willing to follow through. We’ll see if this changes or if we can add VULTURES 2 and 3 to the Turbo Grafx 16 and Yandhi pile.

Baby Keem – Child With Wolves

Mr. Two Phones is one of the most hyped 2020s rap leaders right now, and The Melodic Blue has been patiently waiting on a follow-up since its 2022 deluxe. Through a short film, some huge performances, and social media teases, a new album reportedly titled Child With Wolves seems to be going in an even darker, moodier, and more opaque direction. Maybe that’s why the mystery around the album is so heavy. But Baby Keem already did so much to set himself apart from the pack, and out of any album on this list, he really has the potential to make this installment even better than his previous work. With that in mind, our fingers are crossed for a new peak, or at least a significant level-up for Hykeem Carter.

JPEGMAFIA – TBA

While JPEGMAFIA dropped the excellent SCARING THE HOES collab album with Danny Brown last year and showed off his un-f**k-with-able rapping and production, he hasn’t dropped a solo project since 2021. Don’t get us wrong, we love Peggy and Danny as much as the next terminally online rap publication, but with his additional work on VULTURES 1 and collabs with redveil, Raveena, and Armand Hammer in mind, we can’t help but think that his next move in 2024 will be very different to last year’s team-up. As one of hip-hop’s best artists right now hands-down, the Baltimore creative is going to burst through the door and make the mainstream and underground shiver in fear, because that’s what he’s done since 2018’s Veteran at the very least. This next LP after LP! will also follow a random and surprising spat with… what was his name?

Freddie Gibbs & Madlib – Montana

Oh yeah, Freddie Gibbs. Peggy spat aside, the Indiana MC also had some killer contributions to Ye and Ty’s album and also celebrated the ten-year anniversary of his legendary Madlib collab, Piñata. During their concert commemorating this, they hinted at the third installment of their joint series, Montana, dropping very soon. It would line up with the five-year wait for Bandana in 2019, and would most likely be another AOTY contender for the Big Boss Rabbit and one of the greatest producers of all time. Expecting this album to be great is one of the safest bets you could place, and let’s hope that betting on its 2024 release also has good odds. After all, we know for damn sure that they’re not very high for this next release…

Playboi Carti – Music

2024, music!” Playboi Carti raps on his December 2023 single produced by Kanye West, “2024.” This was before “BACKR00MS,” before the other Instagram tracks, before his VULTURES appearances, and it now stands as one of the most false statements in hip-hop this year. Jokes aside, this shouldn’t really be a surprise: the Opium boss has never been good with keeping release “promises,” being super communicative, or constantly dropping for fans. But we know that whenever he does pop out… there are few things that can match that energy and raw excitement. For all we know, Music could be Narcissist or Antagonist or whatever else, and it could be scheduled to come out in 2065. But vamps will be vamps for the rest of eternity, and they’ll all be in the pit for when Carti’s next move finally lands.

Kendrick Lamar – TBA

The last inclusion on our list may be the most delusional, but it would also arguably be the most impactful and important if it happens. The last we heard from Kendrick Lamar studio album-wise was him denying his status as the savior, and the last we actually heard from him was cementing himself as the greatest rapper of his generation and beyond. Like many other aspects of the Gemini’s dualistic artistry and career, beefing with Drake seems at odds with himself in a certain way. But the album rumors are already there, he’s got his Juneteenth show in L.A., and everyone wants to know what else he has to say, what he wants to reflect on, and what we can learn from his words, sounds, and visuals.

As such, K.Dot might just offer one of the biggest victory laps in hip-hop history through a new album, and he will have to prove that his battle with The Boy wasn’t just a ploy to set the stage for it. How he could even do that in a way that erases all skepticism is beyond us, yet some folks think that it’s the smartest thing that he could do right now. Kendrick Lamar has never struck us as a clout chaser or an egomaniac, and a new LP would probably still prove his title as one of rap’s best-ever songwriters and storytellers. So whether Kendrick’s victory inspired it or it has nothing to do with it, a new album from him wouldn’t place the crown on his head, but it will definitely soundtrack the ceremony.

Rap Albums We’re Looking Forward To In 2023

Some of our favorite rap artists seem to be readying new albums to dominate 2023. 2022 saw big-name artists come out of the shadows of the pandemic with chart-topping albums, such as Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers and Drake’s Her Loss with 21 Savage. 2023 is expected to be a similarly huge year.

Back in 2020, J. Cole took to social media to announce his next three projects. The first of the three, The Off-Season, was released in 2021. Featuring soulful, Southern-centric beats and appearances from Lil Baby and 21 Savage, the record stood as the rap album of the year. Cole’s pen game was at its peak as he reflected on his patient grind to the top of rap. Right before the album’s release, he also announced It’s a Boy and The Fall Off. The latter of which is speculated to be his final album. With it being two years since the release of The Off-Season, fans are beginning to suspect that It’s a Boy will release in 2023.

It’s been five years since Astroworld, a cinematic rollercoaster experience that served as an ode to the Houston community. From the tightknit banger “No Bystanders” to the psychedelic production on “Skeletons,” the record’s diverse soundscapes set it amongst the best hip-hop records of the 2010s. Scott hasn’t been entirely silent since the release of Astroworld. He was the driving force behind the Jackboys compilation. He also released two singles in the form of “ESCAPE PLAN” and “MAFIA.”

However, Utopia has been anticipated from fans for years. Back in 2021, rumors were swirling surrounding its release. However, the tragic events at the Astroworld Festival delayed Utopia’s release. Back in February, Epic Records’ Sylvia Rhone announced, We have a new Travis Scott album, expected to come in June.” We’re only a few weeks away from June and so far, there haven’t been any signs on Scott’s front that he cemented a release date for his highly-anticipated album.

Playboi Carti – Narcissist

Whole Lotta Red‘s build-up went down in hip-hop history. Between cryptic Carti’s cryptic tweets and announcements from his associations, his second studio album was a last-minute album of the year contender. Released on Christmas night, the album was met with mixed reactions upon its release. Diverting from the banger cloud rap sound synonymous with Carti, the Atlanta-born aggressor carved out a new lane of punk rap on Whole Lotta Red.

With Narcissist, the assumption from fans is that Playboi Carti will dive further into the tone of tracks such as “Punk Monk” and “Stop Breathing.” However, up until this point, the album’s rollout has consisted of a motorsports clothing line and a tour. So far, he hasn’t released a single that even indicates where he’ll be heading on his next album. Although information surrounding Narcissist is limited, he confirmed that music is on the way in an interview with XXL. “I’ve been rapping about going to rehab,” he revealed. “I want to go to rehab because I think I’m bipolar. Everybody should feel free. I want this album to make everybody feel free.”

Nicki Minaj diverted from the world of music for the past half-decade, especially as she ventured into the business world. However, Minaj confirmed plans to release her fifth studio album in 2023. 2018’s Queen was met with a generally positive reception although, her loyal and dedicated fanbase didn’t seem to hold it to the same standard as her previous efforts. However, Minaj has vowed that her next album will be “the best thing that will come out of 2023 and will raise the bar to new and unreachable heights.” Additionally, she revealed plans to hit the road. She added, “NM5 tour will be hailed as genius. That’s it and that’s all.” It looks like Nicki Minaj is coming for the title of the best rap album of 2023.

A$AP Rocky – Don’t Be Dumb

It’s been five years since the release of A$AP Rocky’s Testing. Fans widely regard the project as a competent albeit limited effort from the Harlem MC. Collaborating in the fashion world, spearheading a whiskey line, and starting a family with Rihanna, Rocky has certainly stayed busy over the past five years. Rocky was also jailed in Sweden for assault charges, sparking a #freeRocky campaign across the United States. However, rumors of his fourth studio album have been swirling around the Internet over the past calendar year.

Titled Don’t Be Dumb, Rocky teased his contender for the best rap album of 2023 with the release of the single, “Same Problems?” back in January. Differing from artists such as Playboi Carti, Rocky hasn’t been coy about the sonic direction of the project. In an interview with GQ, he revealed that Metro Boomin’s production will be featured throughout much of the album. In addition, Rocky has been performing new music during recent performances. He was seen filming a music video for a song off of Don’t Be Dumb in Paris in late April.

Schoolboy Q – Untitled Album

Schoolboy Q’s CrasH Talk was met with a mixed reception. The golfer’s laid-back flows and LA-based basslines made the album a signature addition to his discography. However, many fans haven’t taken to the record in comparison to projects such as the Blank Face LP. Schoolboy Q announced his new album all the way back in 2020. Since then, we’ve heard very little Q. The exception is 2022’s “Soccer Dad,” a straightforward featuring minimal trumpet-based production.

Thanks to The Alchemist, we know that the two are working on a new album. In reference to Schoolboy Q’s feature on The Alchemist’s “Clip In a Tray,” The Alchemist stated, “Wait till you hear the s**t we got for his album” in response to a post on Instagram. On top of that, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith suggested that Q’s readying a 2023 release. So far, no word from Q but the updates from Alc and Top Dawg is a promising sign that Q’s follow-up to CrasH Talk is on the way.

Coi Leray – Untitled Album

Coi Leray has already begun her rollout for her sophomore studio album, releasing singles “My Body” and “Bops” over the past month. Delivering an electric amount of enthusiasm and confidence, Coi Leray has been an uncompromising figure in the music industry since her 2021 XXL Freestyle. Surmounting the doubters, her debut studio album, Trendsetter, established the Boston-born artist as a hit-making force.

In an Apple Music 1 chat with Eddie Francis, Leray confirmed her new album will only contain “a couple features.” Expanding on this, she stated, “the second album’s going to make people go back to Trendsetter and make them actually appreciate it for the music instead of the bulls**t and the negative headlines and Coi Leray always being the topic. This album is all about me.” With her sophomore effort, fans will be looking for a more focused effort from “Players” superstar.

Saweetie – Pretty B**ch Music

Saweetie’s debut full-length album was set to arrive all the way back in June 2021. She’s been delaying the release of Pretty B**ch Music ever since. In March, she, once again, confirmed that she was still in the process of creating the project. However, she’s delivered a string of music since then to hold fans over. In 2022, she released THE SINGLE LIFE EP. However, it’s certainly getting to a point where the delay is harming Saweetie’s notoriety rather than creating hype. Anchored by the Full Stop Management record label, generating hype for the album may be more difficult than it would’ve been a year ago. However, the extensive delay will hopefully result in her best work to date.
