In the clip for the catch tune — inspired by the 1995 hit “My Boo” by Ghost Town DJ’s — Muni and Saweetie use the dating site Blk to get with some hot guys. Muni matches with a dude who drives a truck that sells candy and ice cream and rides around with him while enjoying some popsicles. Meanwhile, Saweetie plays basketball in her bedroom with another guy before collapsing on the bed with him.

The clip ends with the two judging what seems to be an impromptu dance contest, where squads of women and men dance to “Baby Boo” on a makeshift outdoor stage.

“Baby Boo” is the first single from Muni’s EP, Public Displays of Affection Too.

Muni Long And Saweetie Drop A Colorful New Visual For ‘Baby Boo’

Riding the highs of her latest EP, Public Displays Of Affection Too, Muni Long has dropped a flashy new visual. Joined by Saweetie, Muni looks to make a new man her “Baby Boo.”

At the beginning of the video, Muni is seen browsing a dating app called BLK. She is then carried into a colorful dream sequence, in which she latches onto an ice cream truck, driven by her match on the app. Saweetie pops in with a fiery verse, as she hoops it up with a man in a pastel green room.

The song is a fast-paced nod to Muni’s pop roots, with catchy rhythms and an infectious hook, on which she sings, “I love you, I love you / I’m always thinkin’ of you / And no, it’s not a crush / Baby, I wanna lock you down.”

Muni has worked in the industry for over 15 years, putting out EPs and albums under the moniker Priscilla Renea. Until her breakthrough hit “Hrs And Hrs” went viral on TikTok last year, much of her success came from working as a songwriter for the likes of Ariana Grande, Rihanna, and, Kelly Clarkson.

In a recent interview with MTV News, Muni said that as a singer in her own right, she wants to be “a catalyst for little brown girls.”

Muni Long Announces Her Upcoming EP On The Tail Of Her Breakout BET Awards Performance

Fans of Muni Long‘s breakout single “Hrs And Hrs” have helped make the songwriting star one of R&B’s biggest success stories of the past year, and today, she’s announced her impending follow-up to her debut EP, Public Displays Of Affection. Fittingly, it’s titled Public Displays Of Affection Too and it’s due July 1 via Supergiant/Def Jam Recordings. Clocking in at five tracks, it contains one guest feature from Saweetie and will contain Muni Long’s new singles “Another” and “Pain.”

Blige, Selena Gomez, and more, a move that paid off big time. “Hrs And Hrs” became a huge smash thanks to a viral trend on TikTok and since then, Muni Long has gone on to work with pop R&B juggernauts like John Legend, appearing on his new single “Honey.” Muni Long’s coronation came at last night’s BET Awards, where she performed her breakout hit on stage amid performances by Latto, Chance The Rapper, Doechii, and more.
