Kid Cudi Got Upset And Called Out Apple Music Over A ‘Really Stressful’ Problem With ‘Porsche Topless’

Kid Cudi just returned with his new single “Porsche Topless.” It arrived after he said that “so much” was coming — an album in the fall, a clothing line, a movie.

Unfortunately, it looks like there was an issue with “Porsche Topless” that he had to address on Twitter — Apple Music put the wrong lyrics to go with the song.

“Hey Guys @AppleMusic,” he tweeted, “I put in the time to write out all my lyrics and send them to u. Its really stressful to see you guys just make up whatever lyrics you want and not include the proper lyrics that were given to you. Please fix PORSCHE TOPLESS so my fans have the correct lyrics. Thanx! Scott.”

Luckily, Apple’s DJ Reflex fixed it soon afterward.

It was revealed in April that Cudi would be starring in and co-producing Hell Naw, Sony Pictures’ “action horror-comedy” produced by Euphoria creator Sam Levinson. “This movie has been five years in the making. I am telling the world now, this film will f*ck you up in all the best ways. I have been a horror fan since I was 7 years old, the first horror movies I ever saw were Night Of The Living Dead and Evil Dead. And from that point on, I was hooked on the feeling of being frightened. I’ve been wanting to get into this world creating my own stories for a long time, and now, and after years of working it out in my head, it’s finally happening,” Cudi said about it.

Kid Cudi Criticizes Apple Music For “Making Up” “Porsche Topless” Lyrics

Yesterday, Kid Cudi took to Twitter to call attention to a recent mishap that happened involving his new song, “Porsche Topless.” He claims in his Tweet that although he provided Apple Music with the correct lyrics to the song, they instead made up their own lyrics to provide to fans. “Hey Guys @AppleMusic, I put in the time to write out all my lyrics and send them to u,” the Tweet reads. “Its really stressful to see you guys just make up whatever lyrics you want and not include the proper lyrics that were given to you. Please fix PORSCHE TOPLESS so my fans have the correct lyrics. Thanx! Scott.” Apple’s DJ Reflex then reportedly fixed the lyrics, leading to Kid Cudi shouting him out on Twitter.

Alongside the single’s release, Kid Cudi also revealed the album title for his latest project last week. Dubbing it INSANO, he told fans that the new album will be his most “powerful” contribution of all. “I’ve never made a project this powerful before in my life. Sitting, listening to these mixes, I just know that this shit is going to move you,” Cudi revealed.

Kid Cudi Asked Apple Music To Correct Lyrics

“Y’all are going to f*ck with this shit in such a major way and I’m so f*cking excited. I just wanted to get on here and just let y’all know that I’m not gonna let y’all down,” he said in March, “This is gonna be the album of the year right now, I’m not playing. This is not a f*cking joke. Tell everybody you f*cking know, ok?”

In April, it was also confirmed that Kid Cudi will produce and star in a new horror film. He’ll work alongside Sam Levinson to produce Hell Naw, which he claims will “f*ck you up.” “You will laugh, oh yes you will, but the horror aspect of this movie will really be something to see. You will be shook. I promise,” he told fans. “This movie has been 5 years in the making. I am telling the world now, this film will fuck you up in all the best ways. I have been a horror fan since I was 7 years old,” he also claimed. “The first horror movies I ever saw were Night of the Living Dead and Evil Dead. And from that point on, I was hooked on the feeling of being frightened.”

Kid Cudi Shares His Highly Anticipated New Single ‘Porsche Topless’ As The Start Of A New Era

Last month, Kid Cudi previewed a new song called “Flex” on TikTok and tweeted a pre-save link to it. Though many fans were excited, it seems more were disapproving. “You guys are my fans, ur my family!!!” Cudi wrote in a tweet hours after. “I hear yall!! Im pivoting. Different single June 2nd!! [smiley emoji, peace sign emoji, hearts emoji].”

The highly anticipated date of June 2 is now here, and the rapper delivered. “Porsche Topless” is out today. It’s a nearly three-minute celebratory anthem about being grateful: “While I’m geeked I can hardly speak / Thank them take photo as I lean / What could be next in my dream / Blessing from my God,” he raps.

This is only the beginning. In February, he prepared his fans for a big year. “Album this Fall. First singles this summer. The new chapter has begun… Ur not prepared man. We’ve reached a new level,” he tweeted. About what he was looking forward to, he wrote in another tweet, “Man, so much. My clothing line, directing my first movie that im starring in from a script I wrote, couple movies coming out, a lil tv, Im seriously the most hyped about it all.” He also added that a world tour is coming next year.
