Ye & Ty Dolla $ign Might Be Dropping “VULTURES 2” Soon

Earlier this month, Ye & Ty Dolla $ign played a pretty controversial listening party. They took the stage for a special Thursday night headlining set the Rolling Loud Los Angeles. They were there for what many thought would be a performance. Many even bought single day tickets just to see the pair, but the experience ended up being just like other listening parties. At the very least it was a star-studded affair with guests like YG, Freddie Gibbs, Quavo, and more in attendance.

Earlier this week, Ye weighed in on a recent beef sparked by Kendrick Lamar. Rather than taking sides, he claimed to have washed both Drake and Kendrick Lamar in the past in a recent Instagram post. What do you think of Ye & Ty Dolla $ign hosting another listening party in Pittsburgh? Do you think the announcement that VULTURES 2 will be played there is a mistake? Let us know in the comment section below.

Beyonce Dazzles In First North American “Renaissance” Concert

Beyoncé has finally made landfall in North America. After working her way across Western Europe for the past two months, the pop megastar kicked off the Renaissance World Tour’s North American leg in Toronto on July 8. As she had done with several stops in Europe, Queen Bey graced her followers with a glimpse of several of her concert outfits after the show.

After the Toronto show, Beyoncé’s social media showed off a dazzling chain-mesh mini-dress. Furthermore, they also released pictures of a camo-print leotard with a matching jacket. However, the comments were split between thirsting over the pop star, declaring their love for the show, and demanding justice for Pittsburgh. Beyoncé is scheduled to perform another show in Toronto on July 9 before starting to travel across the US. Her first American show will be in Philadelphia on July 12. Furthermore, the tour will end in Kansas City on October 1.

However, not everyone is stoked about the North American leg of the tour. On July 5, it was announced that the August 3 show in Pittsburgh had been canceled. The official reason given was “production logistics and scheduling issues.” The Pittsburgh show had originally sat between stops in Foxborough, Massachusetts and Washington DC on the tour schedule. At the time of writing, no other information about the cancellation has been released. Elsewhere, shows in Inglewood, Seattle, and Kansas City were rescheduled but not outright canceled. The biggest disruption was moving the Kansas City date to the end of the tour. Originally, Beyoncé was meant to close out the tour in her hometown of New Orleans.

Understandably, Beyoncé fans in Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania are very upset about the show being removed from the tour. “I don’t think I’ve ever been this upset with someone I don’t even know,” wrote one fan on Twitter. The situation has gotten bad enough that Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey even released a statement about it. “We were fully prepared to welcome her to Pittsburgh and honor her with an official day recognizing her visit and accomplishments. We are in conversations with the promoter for the event in order to gain an understanding about what led to the cancellation, and if there is anything we can do as a city to find a new date or location for her show.

Hardo Drops “Top 10 Trappers DOA” Deluxe Album

Pittsburgh rapper Hardo just released Top 10 Trappers DOA (Deluxe), and its six new tracks are just what you’d expect. Moreover, his street tales move between hard, minimal piano trap and more atmospheric and melodic styles. In fact, it’s refreshing to see him engage with versatility, especially after tough-as-nails projects like last year’s Gangsta Grillz tape with DJ Drama and Deezlee. However, this time around, the distinct tracks compliment a varied sound.

While his flow is deeply rooted in the streets, previous efforts like his 2020 album Days Inn also saw him leave his comfort zone. Especially on this latest album, he stuck heavily to trap, but he traded bars with J.I.D over a more classic beat on that project. However, Hardo’s been at it for a while, so it’s not necessarily a surprise. Still, Hardo switches back and forth because his talent allows it, and he takes advantage of it on the deluxe.

Also, he tapped Sama and Rexx Life Raj to be featured guests on Top 10 Trappers DOA (Deluxe). Moreover, their performances are both autotune-heavy, with Sama coming off laidback whereas Rexx’s passion comes through clearly. Overall, the Pittsburgh native strikes an even balance between immediate hype and calming atmospheres.

But what did you think of Hardo’s deluxe version of Top 10 Trappers DOA? Let us know in the comments and peep the tracklist down below. Still, if you haven’t had the chance to listen, you can find the album on your preferred streaming service.
