Outlawz’s Young Noble Believes Tupac Shakur Could’ve Survived Las Vegas Shooting

Tupac Shakur’s murder in September 1996 remains a mystery. Young Noble believes he could’ve survived the shooting. Reflecting on the 1997 murder of Biggie, just months after 2Pac’s killing in Las Vegas, the Outlawz member described the deep sense of unease it created. “Biggie dying affected us, too,” he admitted. “I started questioning everything, like, ‘Man, maybe I should’ve stayed in school. Maybe I made the wrong choice getting in that car with [Hussein] Fatal and Yaki [Kadafi] that day.’” He described fleeing his neighborhood for California in search of peace, only to find more tragedy. “I was tired of death. Two of my friends gone, back-to-back. It was horrible—for me and for hip-hop.”

Noble revisited seeing 2Pac in the hospital. “He really died,” Noble said, dismissing persistent conspiracy theories about 2Pac’s survival. “I saw him with tubes in his body. He wasn’t the ‘Pac with the six-pack everyone remembers. He was gone.”

Young Noble of 2Pac’s Outlawz Insists Tupac Could’ve Lived

Noble claims 2Pac might’ve survived not for Afeni Shakur. “His mom said, ‘Nah, let him go. He’s [Tupac] endured enough.’ That kind of strength is unimaginable. She let her son fly.” Tupac Shakur formed the Outlawz in 1995 with the group appearing on Pac’s All Eyez on Me and The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory.

Speaking to Art of Dialogue, Young Noble sat down for his first interview in seven years. As the interview concluded, Noble walked off the set, overwhelmed by the memories. The raw emotion underscored the magnitude of 2Pac’s legacy. Tearing up, Noble reflected on 2Pac’s enduring influence. “He was everything. The world in his palms. And yet, all people want to do is dissect his life on camera. He was amazing. He died at 25.” A trial for the murder of Tupac Shakur is underway, with Duane “Keffe D” Davis as the lead suspect.

Rick Ross Gives A Nod To The ‘Outlawz’ Of The World In His Video With 21 Savage And Jazmine Sullivan

More than two years after releasing his last body of work, Rick Ross returned this past weekend with his eleventh album Richer Than I Ever Been. It’s a rather short project, with just 12 songs and guest appearances from Wale, Future, Benny The Butcher, and more. To celebrate, Ross returns with a video for the album’s lead single, “Outlawz” with 21 Savage and Jazmine Sullivan. It finds Ross driving around town, with appearances from his two collaborators.

The video comes after Ross responded to rumors that he and Meek Mill, who is signed to his Maybach Music Group label, were not on good terms. “I feel like we’re both hustlers,” he said during an interview at the Grammy Museum. “That’s one thing about life, you either grow together or grow apart. As a boss, you make that decision, because whatever it is you want to do, Ricky Rozay wants to see you do it. There’s a lot of people that didn’t last or was still down with me the way Meek is — so I want to see the homie shine regardless.”

You can watch the video for “Outlawz” in the video above.

Rick Ross, Jazmine Sullivan, And 21 Savage Are Luxurious ‘Outlawz’ On Their New Collab

When it comes to Rick Ross, it’s guaranteed that listeners will receive a heavy dose of braggadocious and luxury raps from the Florida rapper. It’s an expectation that Ross has fulfilled from the start of his career with 2006’s Port Of Miami which he released a sequel for in 2019. Through the years, Ross has delivered quality project after quality project and he’s prepared to offer another one to the world with his upcoming album, Richer Than I Ever Been. The project is already locked in for a release next month, and now Ross begins its campaign with a beautiful new single.

Ross kicks things off for Richer Than I Ever Been with “Outlawz” featuring Jazmine Sullivan and 21 Savage. The song is carried by soulful production supplied by producer AraabMuzik. Hard-hitting drums and soaring vocals sit under Ross and 21 Savage slick raps and Sullivans show-stealing hook. It’s a strong single that promises something great with Ross’ Richer Than I Ever Been.

Richer Than I Ever Been may not be the only project Ross has in store for the future. He and Drake have teased a joint album, one Ross spoke about back in June. “We may have spoken within the last 48 hours,” he said at the time. “But it’s only so much I can say other than: this is the closest or the realest he’s ever been. He’s wrapping up his project and I’m in the same space. So the timing and everything is aligning.” With Certified Lover Boy out now and Richer Than I Ever Been on the way, it seems like this joint album could become a reality.
