Air Jordan 5 “Olive” Gets Rumored Release Date

The Air Jordan 5 is nothing short of a legendary sneaker. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, this iconic silhouette showcases the perfect fusion of style and performance. The Jordan 5 features several unique elements that set it apart, including the distinctive fighter plane-inspired design aspect. Throughout the years, the Air Jordan 5 has seen numerous colorways and collaborations, becoming a canvas for artistic expression and storytelling. The Jordan 5 “Olive” was originally released back in 2006, and is finally making its way back to fans again in 2024.

Recently, we have seen the Air Jordan 5 teased in an A Ma Maniere collaboration. We have also seen the Jordan 5 rumored to be a collaboration with renowned producer, DJ, and media personality, DJ Khaled. Now sneakerheads can rejoice as the Air Jordan 5 is making a return in a sleek, rich “Olive” colorway released early next year. This colorway is definitely going to be a hit and it is the perfect combination for the sturdy Air Jordan 5.

The Jordan 5 “Olive” comes in a colorway as described. Olive green covers the majority of the sneaker. The iconic icy sole of the Jordan 5 is present, revealing an orange Jumpman. The midsole is olive green with orange fighter jet-inspired detailing. The rest of the upper is made of different shades of green/brown and the mesh panel is a lighter shade of green. Also, there is orange detailing on the tongue and lining of the sneaker. Finally, an orange Jumpman can also be found on the heel.

Sneaker Bar Detroit reports that the Air Jordan 5 “Olive” will release on March 9th, 2024. However, this is just a rumor. Also, these sneakers will have a retail price of $210 when they drop. Air Jordan 5 “Olive” Set To Return: Details

There have been a lot of amazing Air Jordan 5 colorways to come out over the years. Although this silhouette is sometimes overlooked, real sneakerheads know this is a fantastic shoe. Overall, it helped usher in a new era of Jumpman. The 90s were a great time for sneakers, and this was certainly an example of that. Moreover, just a few years ago, the silhouette celebrated its 30th birthday. This turned out to be huge for sneakerheads, as the shoe got a whole host of great retros and new colorways.

Since that time, the Air Jordan 5 has continued to get some amazing new offerings. This is especially true when it comes to re-releases of models from the mid-2000s. Subsequently, we have been getting word that the Air Jordan 5 “Burgundy” would be returning to the market in 2023. Now, we are also getting some AJ5 teasers for 2024. One of them just so happens to be this “Olive” model, seen below. Of course, this is a colorway that was released all the way back in 2006.

“Olive” Air Jordan 5 To Make A Comeback

This latest news comes to us from the good folks over at @zsneakerheadz. They have always been ahead of the curve with this kind of information, and it is certainly appreciated. As for the aesthetics of this model, it looks absolutely fantastic. Firstly, the shoe is covered in premium olive materials. Secondly, the midsole has an olive twist to it all while orange shark teeth make an appearance. Lastly, the inside lining of the shoe is orange as well, which creates a very nice contrast. If you love the Jordan 5, you will probably love this color scheme.

As for the release date, nothing has been confirmed as of yet. However, we do know that this shoe is supposed to drop during the Spring of 2024. Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low “Olive” Release Date Confirmed

Travis Scott is one of the best artists in the world, and that has not changed over the past five years. Since the release of Astroworld, fans have been waiting for his follow-up. Although UTOPIA has been teased numerous times, nothing has dropped. However, there are reports that the album could be released sometime this summer. Ultimately, Scott has yet to confirm anything, which has left his fans in absolute shambles. Once he does drop the album, we’re sure all will be right in the world.

Luckily, Travis Scott is still keeping busy through different avenues. For instance, fans absolutely adore his work with Jordan Brand. Over the past two years specifically, he has worked a lot on the Air Jordan 1 Low. We have seen an abundance of colorways from this silhouette, and as it turns out, Scott isn’t done just yet. The next colorway on his list is this women’s model below, simply called “Olive.” Overall, it is a nice neutral color scheme that features an aesthetic we have seen before from Travis.

As you can see in the official images above and below, this is a shoe that contains everything you need from a Travis Scott offering. Firstly, the sneaker begins with some black on the toe box, tongue, and side panels. Secondly, we get white overlays all throughout the shoe that help bolster the darker tones. Lastly, the shoe features on olive backward Nike swoosh. This is then complemented by an olive outsole that contributes to the overall aesthetic of the sneaker. Once again, Jumpman and Travis Scott have knocked these out of the park.

In terms of the release date, fans who want these will be able to cop a pair as of April 26th for $150 USD.
