Nike Air Monarch IV “Light Bone” Revealed

One of the most underrated sneakers from the Oregon brand would have to be the Nike Air Monarch IV. In case you didn’t know, this used to be Nike’s best-selling shoe. However, a while back, they gave up on making new colorways. Overall, Nike wanted to focus on a plethora of different silhouettes and offerings. This makes a whole lot of sense as Nike is always innovating. That said, there was a huge gap in the “dad shoe specifically made for cutting the grass” market. Now, Nike is taking notice of that, and they are bringing back a classic.

Yes, that’s right, the Nike Air Monarch IV is making a comeback of sorts in 2023. If anyone is jumping for joy right now, it would have to be Pete Carroll and every other man in their 50s and 60s. Subsequently, with the shoe making a comeback, we are now seeing some new colorways online. Of course, this is great news for sneakerheads, as well as the casual consumer who shops at Macy’s. You will soon be able to cop some gardening shoes, all while re-upping on your bottles of Drakkar Noir.

Nike Cortez Hit With “University Blue” Colorway

One of the best shoes to ever come out of Nike, would have to be the Nike Cortez. Although, it should be noted that this is far from the most popular shoe from the brand. Overall, the Cortez is a shoe that mostly got a lot of wear out on the West Coast. However, it was a staple Forrest Gump as the titular character always wore a pair of white, blue, and red Cortez. At the end of the day, this shoe is an underappreciated classic. Its simplicity is what it has going for it, and for the most part, fans still love these.

Unfortunately, Nike hasn’t done that much with the shoe over the years. Although they did have a recent collab with CLOT, this shoe has mostly just been very quiet. That said, when new colorways do make their way to the market, they end up making a considerable amount of noise. Some fans have been starved for a new Nike Cortez, and soon, it seems like the brand will finally be quelling that hunger. In the images below, you can find the new Nike Cortez “University Blue.”

It is a staple of the sneaker world that will never get old. Although some may feel like Nike is releasing too many colorways, there are others who feel the opposite. You can never have too much of a good thing, and that is certainly evident with this silhouette. Practically every single week, new offerings are being shown off.

Subsequently, Nike is trying to do some cool things with the Nike Dunk Low. It would be very easy for them to get trapped in the two-tone offerings such as the infamous “Panda Dunk.” Instead, they have tried to create shoes that are a bit flashier and more colorful than that. This is especially true when it comes to the various women’s exclusives that have been released. In some cases, the women out there have been blessed with better shoes than the men, and this “Gorge Green” color scheme is an example.
