Ezekiel Elliot To Reunite With The Cowboys

After spending a year away from the organization that drafted him, Ezekiel Elliot is headed back to the Cowboys. Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys are getting back together, but Zeke will accept a wage decrease this time. Elliott is coming back on a $3 million, one-year contract that includes a $2 million guarantee. Elliot signed a contract for up to $70 million with the Cowboys a few years ago, but now he is back in a bargain deal.

After being selected by the Cowboys with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 draft, Elliott played for them for the first seven seasons of his career. Despite having many fantastic seasons with Dallas, it appeared as though the Cowboys had found the running back’s replacement. The Cowboys selected running back Tony Pollard in the 2019 draft. As a result, Elliott was free to negotiate a one-year contract with the New England Patriots after the 2022 season. Elliot had 235 touches last year with the Pats, so clearly, he still has some gas left in the tank.

Owner and general manager Jerry Jones following Day 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft mentioned Ezekial Elliot’s possible return. He said, “We are keenly interested in seeing what the future might look like with Zeke.” Reportedly, communication between Zeke and the Cowboys has been going on for weeks. The deal has materialized over the past few days. The Cowboys did not select a running back in the 2024 draft, so that move has started to make sense. They were planning to bring Zeke back all along.

Given that the Cowboys selected no running back with any of their eight draft choices, Elliott’s return to the starting lineup in Dallas seems very certain. Zeke is a two-time rushing leader in the NFL and brought the Cowboys to a better level of success. Along with Dak Prescott, the Cowboys have enjoyed some regular-season success. Ultimately never going far in the playoffs. It’s a move that makes sense for both parties. Zeke is back home, and the Cowboys get a much-needed position filled with a bargain deal.

Former Giants Player Korey Cunningham Tragically Found Dead At 28

Former Giants offensive tackle Korey Cunningham was found dead in his New Jersey home on Thursday. Additionally, Cunningham also played for the Cardinals and Patriots. At only 28, the death is a tragic development. The morning after the NFL Draft’s first round, the NYG announced their sadness for the loss of their former player on Friday. Cunningham was found deceased in his New Jersey home around 3:30 PM on Thursday. The cause of his death was not disclosed by the Giants. New Jersey Police are investigating.

The Cincinnati Bearcat was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Prior to joining the Giants in 2021, he had played for a while with the New England Patriots. Despite having six starts in his 31 career games, he struggled with foot problems all throughout his playing career. Additionally, in 2022, he underwent surgery while still a rookie with the Cardinals and again with the Giants. Ultimately, he did not play any more games after.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Korey Cunningham,” the New York Giants said in their statement this morning. “He was a vital part of the spirit and camaraderie of the locker room. Our thoughts are with Korey’s family, friends and teammates.” The 311-pound, 6-foot-6 offensive lineman was well-known for his infectious laugh and positive outlook on life. Additionally, he was a team favorite during his time with the Giants. Former teammates like Saquon Barkley expressed their sadness over Cunningham’s tragic passing.

His Giants teammate safety Jason Pinnock said on Instagram, “This one hurt! Regardless of what you was going through you wore the biggest smile!” Pinnock continued, “You were the first person to come help me move when I was getting settled at NYG. Middle of camp & you finding to be on team & learn new playbook, you was the first at my house ready! Take care of yourselves & call your friends ppl. I love you brudda!” Cunnigham will certainly be missed. Moreover, the cause of death is currently undisclosed. Also of note, the New Jersey police reportedly had to force their way into Cunningham’s home to get to him. Overall, the news of Cunningham’s passing is tragic; RIP.

Tyreek Hill Appears To Confirm He Now Has 10 Kids

In a recent interview, Tyreek Hill seems to confirm that he has up to ten children. While reflecting back on his career as a top NFL wide receiver, Hill may have confirmed fan’s suspicion that he now has double-digit children. Last year, he was the target of two paternity cases. A third woman has now revealed that she also had a kid with him. Hill also has three other children from a previous relationship with ex-Crystal Espinal. That is a total of six children by four different women for the star wideout.

During his appearance on ‘Million Dollaz Worth Of Game,’ the star wideout did not definitively address the speculation about the number of his children, leaving the actual count shrouded in mystery. Hill was questioned about his family life by Gillie Da King and influencer Wallo, who jokingly referred to him as the ‘all-time leading tackler’ in his off-field role as a father. Hill’s response, or lack thereof, left the possibility open that the speculated number of ten children could be accurate or even higher.

Brittany Lackner sued the wide receiver for paternity. She claimed he was the father of her child, who was born in February 2023. The move might allow a fresh start for Wilson, who will be looking to turn his career around in Denver.

Wilson shot up draft boards during his senior season at BYU. The hype around him made him the number two overall pick in his draft class. Wilson went into a situation that needed him to be great, and for whatever reason, he never really caught on in the league. He has thrown more interceptions than touchdowns in his career, putting up some of the worst statistics of any quarterback in the league. Zach Wilson was traded to the Broncos for a late-round pick swap. Last season, the Jets traded for Aaron Rogers in an attempt to upgrade their quarterback position and go for the playoffs. Unfortunately, rogers tore his Achilles tendon in the first game of the season. Wilson was thrown back onto the field, and the results were less than ideal. Wilson played better than ever, but better than ever for Wilson is still pretty subpar. It is a shame because the Jet’s defense continued to be one of the best units in the league. Both parties are probably happy to move on from one another.

Aaron Rogers is set to make his return to the football field for the Jets. Last season, after being injured, Aaron Rogers kept teasing fans with an early return that never materialized. Since then, Rogers has been talking about new conspiracy theories every other week. He teased a campaign for United States Vice President, which the Jets and NFL weren’t fond of. Matt Ryan was the Atlanta Falcons quarterback and face of the franchise for more than a decade and has been. Ryan is currently an analyst for CBS Sports. After being traded to the Indianapolis Colts two seasons ago, Ryan decided not to take the field in 2023 but to keep the option open. He retired today as an honorary member of the Atlanta Falcons.

Matt Ryan was drafted no.3 overall in the 2008 by the Falcons. He went on to start for the Falcons for 14 seasons, where he became the franchise’s all-time winningest quarterback. He holds a lot of records in Atlanta, bringing the Falcons to the Super Bowl in 206, the same year he was named NFL MVP. The 2016 Super Bowl is still an infamous game and a spot of pain for the Falcons Game. The Falcons lost to Tom Brady and the Patriots in a game where the Falcons led 28-3 going into halftime. It’s one of the all-time “you blew it” moments in sports. Despite the failure of the Super Bowl, the Falcons were successful with Ryan. Ryan has been a pillar of the Atlanta community since being drafted.

The Bears hold the number one overall pick, and there are numerous teams trying to change their franchise’s fortunes in this draft. The Bears’ likely first overall pick will be USC’s Caleb Williams. Big Sean will hold down day one of the NFL Draft Concert Series. The Detroit Youth Choir will hit the stage on day two. Bazzi, a Michigan native, will close out the NFL Draft Concert Series. The show is completely free for fans. The event is on a first-come, first-served basis.
