Kanye West Fires Lawyer Before Divorce Hearing

Just hours before his court hearing, Kanye West is switching up his legal team.

According to TMZ, Ye fired his latest lawyer, Chris Melcher, after their relationship “became extremely difficult” including a breakdown in communication.

Sources claim Ye kept changing his mind. One day, he wanted to settle things with Kim and others, he expressed a desire to put up a fight.

He has now hired attorney Samantha Spector, who recently represented Nicole Young in her high-profile divorce from Dr. Dre. Dre was repped by Laura Wasser in his divorce, so it will once again be Spector vs. Wasser in the Kardashian-West divorce proceedings.

This is apparently Ye’s fourth attorney since Kim filed for divorce in February 2021. In a statement last month, Kim slammed Ye for his “constant attacks” while referencing his legal musical chairs.

“I wish to handle all matters regarding our children privately and hopefully he can finally respond to the third attorney he has had in the last year to resolve any issues amicably,” she wrote.

It is expected that the judge will declare Kim legally single during Wednesday’s hearing. It’s unclear if Spector will ask the judge for a continuance in order to allow her more time to prepare as the new lawyer.

Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, & Future to Headline Rolling Loud Miami

Rolling Loud Miami has announced the lineup for the 2022 festival.

Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, and Future will headline the world’s largest hip-hop festival when it returns to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens on July 22-24.

The star-studded bill also boasts Lil Baby, Kodak Black, Gunna, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, and Saweetie, as well as Lil Durk, Don Toliver, Baby Keem, City Girls, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Three Six Mafia, Moneybagg Yo, and more.

DaBaby will once again take the Rolling Loud stage after last year’s controversial set during which he made homophobic comments and was subsequently cut from other festival lineups.

Before his Rolling Loud performance, Ye will headline both weekends of Coachella in April. Kendrick, whose long-awaited new album is expected this year, has not performed at a festival since Day N Vegas in November.

Tickets for the 7th annual festival go on sale Monday, March 7 at 12 p.m. ET. Pre-sale tickets sold out in two hours in December.
