Bollea is now getting the viral fame he clearly desires, but like for all the wrong reasons.
Itâs hard to tell when it happened during the fight but Bollea was ignominiously dumped on his face by Garza. Itâs some pretty lazy work from both fighters but Bollea drops his guard after just a few swings and gets rocked by a hook from Garza. Subsequently, Bollea faceplants onto the mat and rolls onto his back as the referee steps in and calls the fight. Bollea presumably left Houston with his tail between his legs. Furthermore, this was his first in over year so any chance at a comeback win was out of the question. Additionally, while he was 5-0 in his last five fights before Garza, his opponents were a collection 37-67. Not exactly the best the sport has to offer.

Additionally, recent US National Climate Assessments show that the state has received less rainfall. This is consistent with projections about the impact of anthropogenic climate change. However, the specific cause of these wildfires is as yet unknown. President Joe Biden stated he was diverting âall available federal resourcesâ to Hawaii. Meanwhile, celebrities like Floyd Mayweather made donations to help the victims. However, several people, such as the UFCâs Max Holloway, donât believe enough is being done by the government to help the victims.
âItâs tough man. Everything thatâs going on in Lahaina now is heartbreaking,â Holloway told TMZ from Singapore. Holloway is currently preparing for a Fight Night headliner against The Korean Zombie on August 26. âHere, the state, the government at so many levels, Iâm straight up going to say it, they failed the people of Lahaina and itâs kind of heartbreaking. When it felt like they were lollygagging, too, after everything happened, the people, the Hawaiian people, the locals there are the ones that stood up, that took on the responsibility, and are helping, and are still helping as we speak. Man, itâs just super heartbreaking.â
However, Holloway has also rejected the suggestion of pulling out of his upcoming fight. âIf I can take their minds off of it for a second, a minute, five minutes, whatever it is, I always go in there thinking Hawaii is on my back. Iâm going in there a little bit heavier right now. My main message to the families that are directly impacted, stay strong. Weâre all here for you guys. Weâre gonna keep this going for you guys. This is just the beginning, and we know. Weâre in for the long haul on this fight. The recovery is going to take a long time. Everything is gone, and we know this, and weâre here for the long ride.â

Heâs very serious about competing. However, he appears very onboard with the idea of the Meta founder fighting under the UFC banner. As previously reported, Zuckerberg is very serious about his combat sports. Itâs a big reason why he pulled out of the fight with Elon â he (Zuck) actually cares about this.
Earlier this week, Vicente Luque also weighed in on the idea of Zuck fighting in the promotion. âI definitely think [a Zuckerberg fight is] something that can happen. It does seem like heâs really disciplined,â Luque told TMZ. âHe not trying just to hype all this stuff. Heâs trying to work the right way, build himself little by little from the ground up. And I respect that a lot. I think it has to be a fight that makes sense.
