The Atlanta Hawks were able to survive in Game 5 of their series against the Boston Celtics, bringing Game 6 to their homecourt of State Farm Arena. One issue, night two of Janet Jackson’s tour was set for the same venue.

The Hawks bumped the legendary singer’s show to Friday, but Trae Young has a special message for Ms. Jackson.

“Sorry not sorry to this LEGEND.. Hope she can be at the game now,” Young wrote.

At a point in the fourth quarter of Game 5 between the Boston Celtics and the Atlanta Hawks, the Hawks were on the ropes. Up 13, the Hawks battled back, led by Trae Young, who dropped a couple of bombs from three-point range, one securing the 119-117 victory. The Hawks got the win without Young’s superstar partner Dejounte Murray.

“I FaceTimed him as soon as I got in the locker room,” Young said. “I told him ‘Be ready.’ I told him before the game that we were going to take care of business so he can play in Atlanta.”

Young finished with 28 points, 13 assists, and four rebounds. The series will shift back to Atlanta on Thursday for Game 6.

Anthony Edwards Could Face Legal Action For After Game Incident

Anthony Edwards couldn’t hide his frustrations on Tuesday after the Minnesota Timberwolves loss. The loss was the final nail in the Timberwolves season. As the Denver Nuggets have officially eliminated Minnesota. However, it seems Edwards’s issues have only gotten worse since the finish of the game. Edwards was seen throwing a chair in frustration while jogging back to the locker room. Now Edwards could be facing legal action for striking law enforcement with the chair.

Denversports.com is reporting that Edwards is now facing third-degree assault for striking two women with the chair. According to the website, “A law enforcement source said Edwards picked up a chair & swung it, striking a security guard…A source confirmed the incident and said both employees were injured & asked to file charges.” The charges were filed recently. However, Edwards nor the Timberwolves have yet to comment on the legal situation. The situation didn’t go any further than Edwards slinging the chair in security’s direction. Of course, having your season end is never an enjoyable experience. However, Edwards should have known to control himself in that situation. Being a professional athlete is more than performing on the court or field. Athletes must also show awareness in situations like Edwards found himself in on Tuesday night. It is hard to actually see where the chair landed in the video clip above. However, the chair does seem to land in the direction of the two people standing near Edwards. The incident is just an unfortunate situation for all involved.

The Timberwolves season is officially over. However, now the franchise will have plenty to deal with this off-season. Along with the Anthony Edwards situation, the team will also discuss the future of Rudy Gobert. Gobert was suspended at the start of the playoffs for striking teammate Kyle Anderson during a timeout. Only two teams were able to get it done in a night of three potential Game 5 closeouts in the NBA Playoffs. The sweep didn’t happen because Trae Young went full Ice Trae mode.

“To win a series, I don’t care 8-seed, 1-seed, all that other B.S. — to win a series in the playoffs is hard,” Nuggets coach Michael Malone said. “So I’m really proud of our guys.”

League MVP Nikola Jokic notched another triple-double, dropping 28 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 assists. Murray added 35 as the team now preps for their next series.

In an attempt to secure a win and force Game 6, Edwards missed a three-point bomb and ran immediately off the court.

The Nuggets will face the offenseive juggernaut of the Phoenix Suns led by a Devin Booker who is absolutely on fire. Book dropped 47 points to lead the Suns pass the Los Angeles Clippers and close the series 4-1.

Making a hell of a one-two punch, Durant added 31 points but could only praise what he witnessed Booker do.

“It was spiritual,” Durant said. “His impact and his presence just means a lot to us. That was incredible to see and to be a part of.”

Don’t look for Rudy Gobert to be alongside his Minnesota Timberwolves teammates when they take on the Los Angeles Lakers. According to ESPN, the center has been suspended one game for punching his teammate Kyle Anderson during a team huddle.

The Wolves take on the Lakers in the play-in game with the hopes of making the NBA playoffs. If the Wolves lose, he would be available for the second play-in game when the Wolves take on either the Oklahoma City Thunder or New Orleans Pelicans.

The moment was sparked by a verbal altercation. Gobert was reportedly told “shut the f— up, b—-” and that’s what led to the attack. Gobert issued an apology via Twitter.

“Tempers flare, you’re in the middle of a game, a game we all want to win, a huge one, it is what it is,” Anderson said. “You know, s— happens. It’s not the first time something like that has happened.”

Anderson and Gobert reportedly talked through the incident. The Wolves will play the Lakers on Tuesday at 9 p.m. on TNT.

The news of Gobert’s suspension is massive for the Timberwolves. Gobert is a strong defensive presence that could have helped the team deal with Anthony Daivs. Now, most of that load will be on the shoulders of Karl Anthony-Towns. The Lakers and the Timberwolves will be competing for the seventh seed. While the winner earns a future date with the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round. Also, the Timberwolves season finale on Sunday included even more than two teammates being in an altercation.

Ja Rule Rips 50 Cent After Claiming To Have Lifted Timberwolves Curse

For years now, Ja Rule and 50 Cent have found themselves engaged in a feud. Overall, this feud has certainly amused hip-hop fans. Moreover, after all this time, it still isn’t done. Whenever Fif has the chance, he makes a joke at Ja’s expense. This puts Ja Rule in a perpetual state of self-defense. In fact, after securing a brand deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, 50 Cent promised that he would lift the curse that Ja supposedly placed upon the franchise. Of course, this is a curse that was created shortly after a not-so-great performance that Ja put on during the team’s halftime show, a few years ago.

“There’s a curse on the Timberwolves because somebody made a mistake and let Ja Rule perform at the halftime show,” Fif begins. “And it was the worst shit that ever happened. Right? But what happened is he cursed the Timberwolves. So, now we’re gonna get rid of the Timberwolves curse. I’ve got a whole ritual planned to break the curse. So everybody get ready to follow it. You gonna get a chance to see what I do when the curse is broken. Timberwolves, let’s go. On three. One, two…[claps].”

Ja Rule Vs. 50 Cent

Subsequently, Ja Rule decided to respond to 50 Cent’s Instagram post. After all, this dig seemingly came out of nowhere, and the artist wanted to defend his own honor. “#RENTFREE. Only thing Curtis lifting is his skirt. 50 been on my d**k. He love my style lmao! And now the curse has been extended,” Ja Rule wrote. Perhaps Ja’s curse is working as the Timberwolves lost to a Portland Trailblazers team that is trying to tank. Additionally, the T-Wolves are in a play-in spot and could very well miss out on the playoffs. That would be the ultimate demonstration of just how deep the curse goes.

As for Ja Rule and 50 Cent, they will probably never make peace. After all, this is a feud that has gone on for 20 years. If they can’t make up after all this time, it will probably never happen. To paraphrase the words of “Tomorrow 2” rapper Cardi B, once someone has beef with her, they are going to beef forever. This is a motto that 50 Cent lives by to this day. After visiting the Target Arena to celebrate his spirits company, Sire Spirits, closing a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, he couldn’t help but throw in a jab at his longtime rival, Ja Rule.

As the musician walked through the office, he joked with the Timberwolves staff mentioning his foe’s 2019 halftime performance for the team that didn’t garner much crowd participation.

“We had a curse! Somebody f*cked up, and they let Ja Rule perform at halftime,” 50 said before adding, “Now, what we’re gonna do is take the curse off!”

To add insult to injury, in the video uploaded to the rapper’s Instagram page, he took a few creative liberties to insert the clip of Ja’s performance onto one of the T-Wolves staff member’s computer screens including the audio of a joke former pro-athlete and Undisputed sports commentator Shannon Sharpe saying, “Skip, this might be worse than Fyre Festival.”

Once, again, 50 Cent proves that he’s not above taking jabs at anyone.
