Diddy’s Case Could Be Harmed By Leaked Cassie Video, According To Ex-Prosecutor

Over the weekend a leaked video of Diddy became a lightning rod for reactions from the rap media at large. That’s because the clip showed hotel security camera footage of the rap mogul allegedly assaulting Cassie. It corroborated allegations that she first made in a lawsuit filed against the rap mogul last year. Though the suit was settled quickly, it became the first in a series of lawsuits filed alleging decades of bad behavior. The most notable was Lil Rod’s lawsuit filed in February which made some pretty outlandish claims related to some other celebs.

Much more pressing for Diddy himself though is the federal investigation into allegations of sex trafficking against him. It first became public knowledge back in March when the Feds raided two of his properties in Miami and LA. In response to the new video, TMZ recruited an expert in former federal prosecutor Katie Cherkasky. She discussed the implications of the new video on the investigation into the rapper by the federal government. While she clarified that it isn’t a “smoking gun” for the specific investigation he’s facing, it won’t do him any favors both in the public eye and in the still very much ongoing investigation. Ex-Federal Prosecutor Discusses Leaked Diddy Video

The new video of Diddy has sparked numerous intense reactions from various figures in the rap world. Charlamagne The God didn’t mince words when he dismantled the rap mogul’s apology, calling it dishonest. Aubrey O’Day similarly held onto receipts of a previously pinned post on Diddy’s Instagram. His previous complete denial of the allegations before there was video evidence contrasts harshly with his apology.

Aubrey O’Day Tears Apart Diddy’s Apology With Scathing Twitter Rant

Once again everyone is talking about Diddy. And once again not many have good things to say. That’s because last week CNN shared a video of the rap mogul appearing to physically abuse Cassie. It reminded fans that his recent string of controversies all got started last year when Cassie sued him. Though the lawsuit was settled very quickly it turned into the first in a series of dominoes that’s resulted in months of trouble for the rap figure. One person who has plenty of experience with Diddy himself is Aubrey O’Day, and she’s consistently commented on his situation publicly as it develops. In her most recent statement, she took aim at Diddy’s recent apology.

Diddy shared a video publicly apologizing for his actions in the video, though many took issue with the video. As O’Day points out, it’s a very different kind of claim than the one he made when the allegations were originally leveled. “Diddy did not apologize to Cassie. He apologized to the world for seeing what he did. He says he’s ‘disgusted w himself now, and he was disgusted w himself then’.. but apparently he wasn’t disgusted enough w himself to not PIN this statement out calling her a liar & denying all of it.. leave god and mercy out of this, they aren’t present here, and you know it,” her tweet reads. Aubrey O’Day’s Response To Diddy’s Apology

Yung Miami Trends On Twitter Following Diddy Security Footage

The news has gotten worse and worse for Diddy as 2024 has gone on. After he took to Instagram earlier this month asking fans to show their love for him and claiming the truth would come out eventually, many believed there would be more drama soon. That came to fruition this morning when CNN shared a newly leaked hotel security camera video. In the video Diddy seems to be physically assaulting Cassie, something she accused him of in a lawsuit filed last year. Like with much of the Diddy news, fans subsequently pivoted to asking what his most recent girlfriend Yung Miami thinks about it.

Yung Miami’s real name Caresha was on Twitter’s trending topics just a few hours after the video leaked. Some fans took to the platform to try and separate Miami from the ongoing events involving Diddy. Others claim that her association with the rapper may end up ruining her career. Others went digging for receipts that her affiliation with the rap mogul went pretty deep. Backlash to that saw even more fans claiming people were more upset with Caresha than with Diddy himself. The leaked video is only the most recent incident in months of months of trouble dating back to last week. It follows a period of relative silence following the March raid of two of his properties by the federal government. They were in connection with an investigation into sex trafficking that is believed to still be ongoing. The rap world has continued to react to Diddy news as its revealed including dozens of reactions to the newly leaked video.

Cassie’s Husband Shares Letter Condemning Domestic Violence In Response To Leaked Diddy Video

In a year full of controversy for Diddy things seemingly continue to get worse for the rapper. It started late last year when the first in a series of lawsuits was filed against him. That came from Cassie, who accused him of some pretty serious abusive behavior. An even more serious lawsuit accusing him of rape decades ago followed. Eventually, his former collaborator Lil Rod filed a lawsuit that contained some of the most eye-catching allegations. All of that turned out to just be the lead up to two of the rap mogul’s properties being raided by the FBI in connection with an investigation into allegations of sex trafficking.

Earlier today the news for Diddy got even worse. That came when CNN shared a video of the rap mogul allegedly physically assaulting Cassie captured from a hotel security camera. The video immediately went viral as fans reacted to what is essentially proof of some of the allegations she made in her lawsuit last year. One person who reacted to it is Cassie’s own husband Alex Fine. He took to Instagram to share a letter he previously wrote that condemns domestic violence in incredibly strong terms. Cassie’s Husband Reacts To Newly Leaked Diddy Video

“Men who hit women aren’t men. Men who enable it and protect those people aren’t men. As men violence against women shouldn’t be inevitable, check your brothers, your friends, and your family,” Fine’s statement begins. In the comments, fans show love to his remarks. “‘Men who hurt women, hate women.’ But more importantly hate themselves” one commenter suggests. “Alex saved her, God bless them. That’s a MAN!” another fan’s supportive comment towards Alex reads.
