Quavo Celebrates Kirk Cousins Signing with Atlanta Falcons: ‘Ice Em Out Kirk Frost!!!’

Quavo Sued for Assaulting a Limo Driver in Las Vegas

Quavo is happy to have Kirk Cousins as the new quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons.

During his most recent season, Cousins kept the team’s chains on his neck. Quavo saw that and has a message:

“We having plenty chains down here ice em out kirk frost !!!”

You can see the message below.

Kirk Cousins’s days as a member of the Minnesota Vikings are over. Cousins is headed to Atlanta under a new four-year, $180 million deal.

According to ESPN, $100 million of the deal is guaranteed.

“After significant and positive dialogue with Kirk and his representatives, we were unable to reach agreement on a contract that fits the short- and long-term visions for both Kirk and the Minnesota Vikings,” Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah said in a statement. “Kirk holds a special place in Vikings history, and we appreciate his leadership and contributions to the team and the Minneapolis-St. Paul community over the past six seasons. We wish him; his wife, Julie; and their children all the best. Our approach heading into free agency always included layers of contingencies regarding the quarterback position. We are moving forward with plans that allow us to continue building a roster that can compete for a championship.”

Before going out with a torn Achilles, Cousins was putting up career numbers. Now the 35-year-old will return in a completely new environment.

Quavo Gives Kirk Cousins New Nickname After Atlanta Falcons Signing

Quavo is ecstatic about the Atlanta Falcons bringing in veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins in free agency. Taking to Instagram on Monday, he commented on the news: “We having plenty chains down here ice em out Kirk Frost.” Cousins agreed to terms on a four-year, $180 million contract with the team in desperate need of a player at the position.

He joins a roster loaded with young talent on offense. In recent years, they’ve drafted Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts. The team also just moved on from former head coach Arthur Smith. Raheem Morris took over the job earlier this year.

Prior to joining the Falcons, Cousins played his previous six seasons with the Minnesota Vikings. The organization announced they’d be moving on from him earlier in the day. “After significant and positive dialogue with Kirk and his representatives, we were unable to reach agreement on a contract that fits the short and long-term visions for both Kirk and the Minnesota Vikings,” Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah said in a statement. “Kirk holds a special place in Vikings history, and we appreciate his leadership and contributions to the team and the Minneapolis-St. Paul community over the past six seasons. Kirk Cousins Wants To Stay In Minnesota

Kirk Cousins is a fascinating case study when it comes to NFL quarterbacks. A fourth-round pick by Washington in the 2012 draft, Cousins saw minimal action in his first three years in the NFL. He went 2-7 in nine starts between 2012 and 2014. He became Washington’s starter in 2015 and was average at best. His best season was either his 9-7 record in 2015 or his 8-7-1 record in 2016, with nearly 5000 passing yards.

Cousins joined the Vikings ahead of the 2018 season, signing the NFL’s first-ever fully-guaranteed contract. It was worth $84 million over three years. Minnesota have had mixed success with Cousins at the helm, but have financially invested in him. Cousins has made, over three contracts with the Vikings, over $155 million. He signed a one-year, $35 million deal to play with the team in 2023. However, he may be facing a do-or-die season if he wants to stay in the purple.

Cousins Wants To Stay In Minnesota

“I want to be in Minnesota. That’s kind of a no-brainer. Hopefully, we can earn the right to do that,” Cousins said on May 3. Contract discussions between Cousins and Minnesota broke down in recent weeks. Despite the 13-4 record the Vikings posted in 2022, Cousins had a career-low quarterback rating. Furthermore, the team was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. “The exception is that you have something penciled in for future years. Most of our locker room has no idea what is coming in three or four months, let alone three or four years or next year. I feel like I’m one of the guys, if you will. We’re all in this together,” Cousins also said.

However, it remains to be seen just how at risk Cousins is. The Vikings have two other quarterbacks on the roster – career backup Nick Mullens and 2023 fifth-round pick Jaren Hall. The team had done extensive work on the 2023 quarterback class, but were limited in options at #23 in the first round. While Will Levis was on the board at 23, the Vikings took USC wide receiver Jordan Addison instead. However, with a poor enough 2023 season, or some careful trading, the Vikings could be in the position to draft a stud QB prospect in next year’s draft.

Patrick Mahomes Set To Star In New Netflix “Quarterback” Doc

Patrick Mahomes is easily the best quarterback in the entire NFL. At this point, you simply cannot deny this to be true. Overall, he has won two Super Bowls, has been to three, and even has two MVP trophies. Moreover, he already has a season in which he threw for 50 touchdowns. These numbers are simply astronomical, and we cannot wait to see how Mahomes develops. At this point, he is a star on the same trajectory as guys like Tom Brady and Joe Montana. Even if you hate the Chiefs, it is hard to hate Mahomes.

Subsequently, Mahomes is set to become the face of the entire league. With that being said, it only makes sense that the NFL would want to market Mahomes in every way possible. As it turns out, that is exactly what they are set to do with a new Netflix project. This project was developed by NFL Films, Omaha Productions, and even 2PM Productions, according to Ian Rapoport. Fittingly, this new project is called Quarterback.

Patrick Mahomes x Netflix

The entire premise of the show is quite simple. If you have seen Formula 1: Drive To Survive, you will get it right away. Basically, Netflix mic’d up three quarterbacks throughout the entire season. These QBs include Mahomes, Marcus Mariota, and even Kirk Cousins. Overall, the only one who had a compelling season is Mahomes. If you are a Falcons or Vikings fan, you will probably want to forget that the 2022 season even existed. That said, this promises to be a very interesting show that details the day-to-day existence of a quarterback who plays in the National Football League.

So far, very little else is known about the project. Given this season is finished already, one would assume that the first season of the docuseries will come this year. Perhaps even before training camp starts up again. Netflix has given us plenty of amazing Docuseries’ in the past, so we hope this is more of the same. Let us know what you think of the premise, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news from the sports world.

Kirk Cousins Details Halftime Scene After Record-Breaking Comeback Win

Kirk Cousins recalled the inspiration Patrick Peterson gave the Vikings during halftime while the team was down 33-0 to the Colts on Saturday. Minnesota ended up coming back to win the game in overtime, making for the largest comeback in NFL history.

“There was belief,” Cousins told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. “Patrick Peterson said all we needed was five touchdowns. I thought he was being sarcastic. Obviously, there was some yelling, there was some frustration but that doesn’t just happen. Basic people don’t do that, what we just did.”

“It was a nice little moment for me to lead into,” head coach Kevin O’Connell further said of the moment. “I said, ‘Pat you’re exactly right.’ That’s what we needed at the time. It was probably the most motivated I’ve been to challenge our players, so they just knew that regardless of the outcome today, that first half was not good enough. It will never be acceptable to have that type of performance, regardless of the outcome today.”

The first half concluded with home fans booing their own team off the field.

Cousins finished the game having thrown for 460 yards and four touchdowns. Greg Joseph clinched the win with a 40-yard field goal as time expired in overtime.

The previous largest comeback is owned by the Bills, who beat the Oilers in the 1992 wild card round after trailing by 32. Additionally, the Vikings have now won 10 one-score games, tying the most such wins in a season in NFL history.

With their unlikely victory, the Vikings improve to 11-3 while the Colts fall to 4-9-1.
