Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 16 Gets A First Look

One of the signature sneakers that basketball fans are looking forward to, is the Nike KD 16. Kevin Durant’s Nike KD 15 was a massive success and easily one of the best sneakers of the season. Overall, the crown was taken by LeBron James and his Nike LeBron 20. However, there is no doubt that KD is known for having some truly impressive basketball silhouettes. Every year, it always feels like he has one of the best shoes out on the market. Needless to say, some things just never change.

Now that the NBA playoffs are here, fans are hoping to see some new sneakers on the court. Although many players will just wear new colorways of their current silhouettes, some will try and debut something new. Over the weekend, Durant decided to surprise fans by taking to Instagram with a photo of three distinct-looking sneakers. Upon reading the caption of this post, you can immediately tell that this is the first look at the Nike KD 16. Additionally, each shoe is posed in front of a cactus, as he is now in Phoenix.

The Nike KD 16 Is Coming Soon

Overall, there are three different colorways to be found here. Firstly, we have one offering which is black with some pink highlights. Secondly, we have an edition that appears to be mostly red with a hint of pink. Kevin Durant Opens Up On Being Known As A Sensitive Player

Kevin Durant has been more than open with his time speaking to the media. The Phoenix Suns star has spoken on his past stops along his NBA journey. As well as speaking about what his legacy means to him. However, Durant’s recent interview with FOX SPORTS opened another conversation. NBA writer Melissa Robin spoke to Durant about the criticisms he hears from his haters. One of the terms that came up during the interview was sensitive. A word that Durant feels doesn’t accurately describe the type of player or person he is.

“I don’t see this talked about — I see Damian Lillard, I see LeBron [James], I see Draymond [Green], I see lots of great players in our league speak up on social media, but they don’t get that ‘sensitive’ rep,” Durant stated during the interview. The Suns star has long been known for being a sensitive player. But Durant does seem to acknowledge how that reputation began circulating around circles. Obviously, his move to the Golden State Warriors angered a lot of people in the NBA. However, Durant has never minded being the villain.

Kevin Durant Feels He Isn’t Seeing The Same Treatment As Other Stars

Another moment in Durant’s career that has appeared to be weak by fans was the Twitter burner account run by the star. Durant had been running a separate account from his official Twitter account that supported the star during arguments on the platform. However, in his interview with Robin, Durant stated he sees nothing wrong with standing up for yourself. Durant’s vulnerability during this interview made for an intriguing read on the incorrect portrayal of the superstar.

Now Durant will shift his focus to the NBA Playoffs. The all-star forward is looking to collect his third NBA Championship. While the Suns are still looking for their first championship in franchise history. Durant’s openness to the media is a breath of fresh air for an athlete. Being open and leaving yourself for public interpretation can be a tough task. Good for Kevin Durant on being able to be comfortable in his own skin. SOURCE SPORTS: Russell Westbrook Says There’s No Beef with Kevin Durant Ahead of NBA Playoffs Matchup

Russell Westbrook to Join L.A. Clippers Following Jazz Buyout

The NBA Playoffs will begin this Saturday, and one of the stellar first-round matchups will pair the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday. That means more battles between old teammates Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Will there be beef between the two ball players over their Oklahoma City Thunder days? Not according to Westbrook.

“I think people still think like there’s some beef or something,” Westbrook said to ESPN. “There’s no beef, so I think that’s the good narrative for media, for people to talk about.

“But there’s no beef. I got nothing but respect for him and things he’s done with his career and having to see him back from injury. There’s no beef at all. But he knows I’m going to compete and I know he’s going to compete and that’s all it is.”

The series will open in the Valley of the Sun with an 8:00 pm EDT start on TNT.

Kevin Durant Takes Jab At Charles Barkley

Kevin Durant respects what the co-hosts of NBA on TNT have done for the spot. Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley are known as greats of the game. However, those greats have had a lot to say about the current game. Barkley has even had a few things to say about Durant in the past. The two have had their previous beef, but Durant realizes they’ve also had good moments. When asked about a potential sit down with Barkley, Durant didn’t hesitate with his answer.

“I probably wouldn’t sit down with Charles [Barkley].” Durant’s comments can be taken as tongue and cheek. The former league MVP had a big smile on his face when making the statement. But don’t get it twisted, there’s no love lost between the two. Barkley was very vocal about Durant’s decision to join the Golden State Warriors a few years back. The former Phoenix Suns star hated the idea of seeing another super team. A term in which Barkley himself has been a part of with his time in Houston.

Kevin Durant Has No Time For Barkley

The beef between the two really hasn’t been on the burner. Durant is more worried about getting his Suns to the NBA Finals. However, Suns fans would like to see the two be able to co-exist. Before 2021, the last time the Suns had been to the NBA Finals was when Barkley was leading the team. But those pesky Chicago Bulls featuring a man named Michael Jordan sent Barkley home ringless. Now the Suns have a great chance at bringing a championship back to Phoenix.

Whatever the case may be, it seems Durant hasn’t let go of Barkley’s past comments. Every professional sport deals with an aspect of this. Former players calling out the current generation. But it’s time for the generations to come together and celebrate the sport. However, the best generation’s discussion will always be a massive topic of discussion. What do you think about Kevin Durant’s comments on Barkley? Is it finally time for the two to settle this beef? Give us your thoughts on the situation in the comments section. Kevin Durant Shows His Love For 50 Cent

50 Cent is always a controversial topic in pop culture discussions. He is often defined by the success of his early music, the various bizarre twists his career has taken, or his propensity for beef. A multi-faceted individual without a doubt, he is still often pigeonholed by defenders and detractors alike. His last album was released in 2014 and 50 Cent is now more associated with his, often unsuccessful, business dealings.

Kevin Durant often faces the same problems in discussions. A no-doubt Hall of Famer, people often reduce Durant to his time in OKC, off-court headlines, or participation in trade drama. Much like 50 Cent, Durant gets pigeonholed. A player who has never scored less than 25 points per game in the season since he was a rookie, people still find something to hate. Despite that, Durant is also known for often speaking graciously about his former teams. That penchant for praise is not just limited to the court, however.

“One Of The Greatest”

Speaking on his podcast, The etcs. with Kevin Durant, Durant sounded off about his respect for 50 Cent. “The way 50 has transitioned from being an artist to what he’s doing now, a lot of people may forget about that run he went on,” Durant began in reference to 50 Cent’s success in the early 2000s, “A lot of people also think that it’s only Get Rich or Die Tryin’ and his catalog is way deeper than that, with hits.” Durant was absolutely on the money. 50 Cent’s lowest-charting album, Before I Self Destruct, still reached #5 on the US Billboard 200. As with many things, the further we are removed from 50 Cent’s musical career, the less people remember about it.

It’s clear that Durant has nothing but respect for 50 Cent, going on to call him “one of the greatest”. Durant has no time for people who reduce 50 to the likes of Get Rich or Die Tryin‘, his breakout 2003 debut album. And in spite of what 50 may do, or how the public may perceive him, Durant has only respect. “He’s still a monster,” Durant remarked during the podcast episode. The Suns star has made his thought clear and doesn’t have time to hear people disparage 50.

Kevin Durant First Player In History To Achieve Amazing Statistic

Kevin Durant’s addition to the Phoenix Suns has been can’t miss. Barring a freak pre-game incident that sidelined Durant. The former Brooklyn star has been one of the more dominant players in the league. The Suns have yet to lose a game with Durant in the lineup. Obviously, his presence on the floor has been a game-changer for the Suns. But it wasn’t until his latest feat was released that proves Durant’s dominance. Durant sets alone on the throne of this stellar NBA statistic.

KD became the first 55-40-90 player in the history of the NBA. For those that may not understand those numbers. Durant is the first player to shoot over 55%, shoot 40% from 3, and shoot at least 90% from the free throw line. That statistic is one of the biggest pieces of evidence that proves Durant’s scoring ability. Durant has been an anomaly since his debut in the league. A nearly seven-foot superstar that can do anything that he wants with a basketball.

Kevin Durant Continues To Carve His Legacy

The accolades are great, but Durant is now focusing on earning his third NBA Championship. Durant won back-to-back titles with the great team every assembled with the Golden State Warriors. However, Durant has only been to one other Final outside of his time with Golden State. It’s hard to not talk about any player of this generation without talking about a super team. Particularly when it comes to discussing Durant. However, the Phoenix star isn’t worried about his past. He is only focused on being the best he can be in the present.

The Phoenix Suns were a great team before Kevin Durant arrived. However, it felt like the Suns were in a rut after a disappointing 2022 post-season. Now the team is looking to return to the Finals for the second time in three years. After a dominating 2022-23 season, Durant could be the X factor in Phoenix grabbing their first NBA title. Do you believe that the Phoenix Suns are a threat to the NBA title? What would another championship mean for Durant’s legacy? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. Phoenix Suns Stars To Miss Friday’s Game

The Phoenix Suns seem to be preparing for the NBA Playoffs. The team dropped massive news on the availability of their roster for Friday’s game. The Suns have announced that Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Ayton will be unavailable on Friday. However, the Phoenix stars will not be missing due to injury. But instead, they will be sitting out to rest up for a playoff run. The news of their availability may affect the Lakers far more than the Suns.

The Lakers are still fighting for playoff positioning. As the Suns have locked in the fourth seed in the West. The Lakers are hoping to avoid the play-in tournament at all costs. As the team is seventh in the West, meaning they are currently in the tournament. The Lakers recently took a tough loss to the Clippers. Which took the team out of the running for the fifth seed. However, the team can still earn the sixth seed. With Phoenix resting most of their starting lineup, the Lakers have a great shot at earning a victory.

Phoenix Suns Resting All-Star Cast

Durant recently talked about game planning for the playoffs. The Phoenix Suns star believes every team knows what to expect. As he mentioned, every team has the game plan for one another. The time for talk is over. Now the games will be decided by the talent on the floor. But even with the team sitting their stars, the win isn’t guaranteed for the Lakers. The Lakers have had their own issues with health this season. LeBron James and Anthony Davis have both missed action this season.

Teams are now making decisions regarding their playoff seeding. The Suns cannot gain ground from winning anymore. Which is a way the team could be resting their biggest stars. Fans around the league will be following the injury reports closely this weekend. The final playoff positioning won’t be known until Sunday. Which will be the last day of the regular season. Who will be the teams to make the Western Conference play-in tournament? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. For the latest breaking news involving the NBA, stay locked in with HNHH.

Kevin Durant Fires Playoff Warning

Kevin Durant has altered the entire landscape of the NBA Playoffs. Since his arrival in Phoenix, Durant has helped the team look like an unstoppable force. The team has yet to lose when Durant is on the court. Durant missed some time when he first arrived in Phoenix after a freak pre-game incident. However, when Durant is healthy, there may not be a better team in the league. After the Suns’ victory over Denver Thursday, Durant spoke about gearing up for the 2023 playoffs.

We have played 80-something games, logged in a thousand minutes of film. If you’re a playoff coach and you don’t know how we’re coming as a team, you’re not prepared for how we’re coming as a team, then I don’t think you should have that job,” Durant stated. Durant’s comments do make a lot of sense if you think about it. Everyone has seen everyone else’s best hand. There’s no secret plan to defeat the other team. Opposing teams know what the Suns bring to the table. But stopping them is an entirely different story.

Kevin Durant Is Ready For A Playoff Run

The Suns will have a tough challenge with whoever they’re matched up with within the first round. While the complete playoff standings are not set. The Los Angeles Clippers would be the current opponent for Phoenix. However, the Golden State Warriors still have a chance to sneak into that fifth seed. The Western Conference is shaping up to be a plethora of fun matchups. But Pheonix doesn’t care who is on the other sideline. It is time to get locked in for the playoffs.

Kevin Durant doesn’t care who the Suns meet in the first round. It also doesn’t matter who they’ll meet. As winning the NBA Finals is never going to be a cakewalk for anyone. However, something tells me that if Durant plays the Warriors in the first round, the league would love to see it. Who do you believe is the favorite to win the NBA Finals? Let us know in the comment section. As always, keep it right here at HNHH for the latest NBA news.

Devin Booker Takes Shot At OKC Fans

Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns have been smooth sailing with Kevin Durant. Now that Durant is back after a freak pre-game incident had him sidelined, the team looks to be firing on all cylinders. On Sunday, the team traveled to take on Durant’s old team in the Thunder. OKC fans still hold Durant close to their heart. As boos chorused through the arena for Durant during his first visit to OKC as a member of the Suns.

After the game, Durant’s teammates had his back. Especially Booker, when he was asked about his thoughts on the crowd still booing Durant. Here’s Booker’s statement on the boos in question: “Yeah. What is it, 7, 8 years now, my rookie year. People just want to be heard. I don’t know what it is. He did a lot for this organization.” Durant’s near-decade run in OKC is still memorable to those that lived through it.

Devin Booker Speaks To OKC Fans

Durant was asked the same question, in which he had a different answer than Booker. Durant said he understands where the OKC fans are coming from. The disdain was large when Durant first bolted for Golden State. Animosity was high due to the fact that the Warriors eliminated the Thunder in the season prior. Thunder faithful felt betrayed. No matter how much time has passed, a portion of the fan base will never forget how they felt back in 2016.

Durant has moved on, and so has the Thunder. Both seem to have found a better situation, and that’s really all that matters. Devin Booker may not understand the passion of a fan base losing him since he has always been with the Suns. There’s a good chance Durant will hear boos in OKC until the day he retires. Something that the All-Star seems at peace with. What are your thoughts on OKC fans booing Durant? Has enough time passed that the boos should be no more? Please drop a comment below to let us know your thoughts on the Durant-OKC relationship. For more NBA news, stay with us at HNHH. We will always keep you informed.

Kevin Durant Reacts To Getting Booed In OKC

Kevin Durant is starting to fit in with his new teammates in Phoenix. The former NBA MVP is ramping up for another deep playoff run. Except for this time, he will be back in the Western Conference. This past Sunday, Durant returned to his home away from home. Oklahoma City is where the former Texas Longhorn grew up in the NBA. His professional career was born in Seattle. However, the franchise relocating to Oklahoma City gave Durant a place to cut his teeth among the stars.

Everyone knows the story by now. Durant left his home with the Thunder for greener pastures in Golden State the summer before the 2016-17 season. The move was a crushing blow to the Thunder franchise. As many fans believed the team was a yearly title contender with Durant on the roster. Leaving the place that gave you your start can be difficult. Fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers have watched their hometown king leave them twice. For Thunder fans, they’ve never forgotten Durant’s goodbye and let him know about it.

Kevin Durant Understands Thunder Fans Frustrations

Kevin Durant understands the reasoning behind the boo birds in OKC. When a community loses its star player, it can be a gut punch. The organization has to start over when such a significant loss happens. After Durant’s departure, the organization said goodbye to Westbrook shortly after. Westbrook and Durant are still the most synonymous names in the history of the Thunder organization. However, the franchise only has one Western Conference title to show for it.

The Thunder were a team of potential. For so many years, many wondered would it be the year for OKC. A team that once had three league MVPs on their roster ended up with zero championships. Thunder fans have the right to be hurt over Durant’s exit. However, the future looks bright in Oklahoma City. The franchise basically owns the next few drafts. In the process of rebuilding, the team has found a star in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. As well as hoping injured rookie Chet Holmgren pans out as another monster draft pick. While the future looks bright, sometimes, it’s hard to forget the past. Do you think it’s time for Thunder fans to move on from the Durant hate? Let us know in the comment section below.
