Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis says there’s “no chance” he doesn’t play in Game 4 against the Utah Jazz, despite being listed as questionable with a left knee sprain.

“There’s no chance that I don’t play tomorrow,” Davis said after practice Saturday. “As a player, I’ve wanted to be in this moment. You want to be in the playoffs and help contribute to my team’s success. I want to be out there. So in my eyes, for me as a competitor, I think I’ll be out there [Sunday].”

Davis sustained the injury during the Lakers’ 109-95 Game 3 win while chasing down Devin Booker for a block. While playing through injury, he finished with 34 points and 11 rebounds.

The 8-time NBA All-Star says he has been experiencing swelling in the knee, and is wearing a compression sleeve to treat it.

“I haven’t mentioned or talked about a brace,” he said when asked if he’ll play with a more substantial brace. “But if that’s going to help, then I don’t mind going back to the 1970s brace.”

Frank Vogel says Davis is still questionable despite his confidence.

“Both will be listed as questionable dealing with some soreness,” Vogel said, also referring to Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. “But we’re hopeful that they both play.”

Portland Trail Blazers’ center Jusuf Nurkic fired back at Kendrick Perkins, Saturday, saying he “would be a mascot” if he were still in the league today. Perkins called Nurkic one of the worst defensive players in the NBA after the Blazers’ 120-115 loss to the Nuggets in Game 3.

“I don’t know if I can talk about defense, some guy, clown out there saying I’m one of the worst in the league. The guy named, I guess he’s an analyst, ESPN guy Perkins, the big fella Perkins, Kendrick Perkins. In this league today, he would be a mascot,” Nurkic told reporters when asked about Perkins’ comments. “I don’t know why he claimed that. I like him as a person too. People don’t understand the roles…but to say that stuff, that was weak”

“Mike Malone flat out-coached Terry Stotts!!! Nurkic and Kanter are the worse defensive bigs in the NBA!,” Perkins tweeted. “Btw shoutout to Austin Rivers tonight for proving all the haters wrong…I just remember them saying he was in the NBA because of his Pops. Carry the hell on…”

The Nuggets bounced back in Game 4, Saturday, winning the contest 115-95. Nurkic went on to record 17 points, six rebounds, two blocks, one assist, and one steal in the game.

Game 5 between the Nuggets and Blazers is scheduled for Tuesday at 9:00 PM, EST.

Meek Mill called out blogs on Twitter, Saturday, for their coverage of Eric Riddick’s recent plea deal, saying that they were busy focusing on “goofy shit,” a likely reference to his viral tweet about “vibrating panties.”

“Yesterday I help a innocent man gain his freedom back he had life in prison …. on the net I was trending for a pause basically lol them blogs got y’all,” Meek wrote on Twitter. “Go check blogs pages …don’t post positive post just the goofy shit… y’all sheep and be serious lol.”

The rapper also posted a meme with the caption, “Ever time the internet don’t understand me I be like this.”

“I need vibrating panties with the remote lol,” he wrote in the initial tweet that went viral. “They on Amazon? Lol.”

After spending 29 years in prison for murder, Riddick has been released after a Court of Common Pleas Judge vacated his 1992 first-degree murder conviction. Riddick has long-maintained his innocence.

While he will be released from prison, the court is not technically exonerating Reddick of the crime. Instead, he will plead no contest to a third-degree murder charge and time served.

“He’s going to be free. It doesn’t matter what they say because I know he’s innocent,” Reddick’s mother said. “That’s on the back burner because I already know the truth. I don’t need a piece of paper to tell me.”

Netflix has revealed its list of upcoming additions to its streaming catalog for the month of June. The platform will be adding a number of great films such as The Big Lebowski, Silver Linings Playbook, Million Dollar Baby, and more. 

Netflix is also releasing several original films and TV shows. Fresh, Fried & Crispy is dropping on June 9th and will follow food critic Daym Drops as he finds the best fried food in America. America: The Motion Picture will cap off the month of June. The film stars Channing Tatum as Geroge Washington and is described by Netflix as a “tongue-in-cheek riff on the American Revolution.” Killer Mike will also appear in the film.

Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is listed as questionable for Game 4 of the team’s first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers. Doncic battle through a neck injury in the Mavs’ Game 3 loss.

“It’s just weird,” Doncic told reporters after the game. “I don’t know how you call it. It’s just some massage, some rest, and hopefully, we’re good.”

Mavs coach Rick Carlisle says he still expects Doncic to play, “but we’ll see how he feels tomorrow.”

Losing Doncic would be a colossal blow to the Mavs. The young star is averaging 38.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 9.0 assists through the first three games of the series.

The 22-year-old has dealt with numerous injuries throughout the year including quad, back, and elbow injuries.

“They had a great night and we did not,” Carlisle said of the Clippers’ Game 3 performance. “The crowd was great. They were into it. We’ve got to get them more into it by finding ways to get more stops and rebounds.”

Los Angeles was led by Kawhi Leonard who finished the game with 36 points.

Despite Friday’s loss, Dallas still leads the series 2-1.

Game 4 between the Clippers and Mavericks is scheduled for Sunday at 9:30 PM, EST.

Ahead of a long-rumored run for Governor of Texas, Matthew McConaughey says he has no sympathy for anti-maskers. The Academy Award winner says masks are a “short-term inconvenience for long-term freedom.”

“I’m not believing you’re really scared of this little cotton thing,” McConaughey said in a new interview with Carlos Watson, this week. “I don’t really feel that takes away your identity and your freedom. There’s no data that says it’s not a good thing. No data that says it’s harmful.”

“We have got to make some sacrifices for larger rewards tomorrow,” McConaughey added.

For months, McConaughey has teased a foray into politics that would likely begin with a campaign to become Governor of Texas. When asked about the rumors by Watson, he remarked that he’s “not interested in going and putting a bunch of Band-Aids on that are gonna be ripped off.”

He added that politics might not be the right outlet for what he’s looking for: “I’m interested in building something that can last, and I’m measuring what category that is. I don’t know if that’s politics.”

McConaughey isn’t the only Hollywood star rumored to be interested in a political career. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is also rumored to be considering the move.
