Travis Scott Debuts “Escape Plan” During Rolling Loud Performance

Travis Scott premiered his new song, “Escape Plan” during his set at Rolling Loud in Miami, Saturday night. The performance did not disappoint, despite Scott being over an hour late to the show.

The track was teased by Scott, earlier in the day, with a short video. The Astroworld rapper also warned fans that’d he’d be performing the song during his Rolling Loud set on Twitter.

“OK IM UP TODAY NO GAMES. I WANNA SEE THE RAGE SWEAT AND TEARS,” he tweeted. “HMM SOME ONE ASK ME HOW IM STARTING I SAID THIS IS HOW. WHO CAN REMEMBER THIS BY TONIGHT.”

The hard-hitting banger is likely from Scott’s upcoming album, Utopia, which he discussed during an interview with i-D, earlier this year.

“I never tell people this, and I’m probably going to keep it a secret still, but I’m working with some new people and I’m just trying to expand the sound,” Scott told the outlet. “I’ve been making beats again, rapping on my own beats, just putting everything together and trying to grow it really. That’s been one of the most fun things about working on this album. I’m evolving, collaborating with new people, delivering a whole new sound, a whole new range.”

Jermaine Dupri Defends Kanye West After “DONDA” Delay: “Real A&R Sh*t”

Jermaine Dupri defended Kanye West on Twitter, Saturday, after the legendary rapper delayed the release of his upcoming album, DONDA. Dupri says the listening event was done so Ye could get feedback and make adjustments before he drops the project.

“I’m not sure many understand what Ye did because n****s don’t have listening parties much in this era but you play the music and gage what you got by the reactions, then prioritize by best reaction and fix where the response was weak real A&R shit,” he wrote.

Hopkins said the policy has him unsure about his future in the league: “Never thought I would say this But being put in a position to hurt my team because I don’t want to partake in the vaccine is making me question my future in the NFL.”

Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians confirmed that it is “league policy,” and estimated that more than 85 percent of his team’s roster will be vaccinated by final cuts.

“We’re going to have a very serious conversation,” Arians said in an interview with Tampa Bay Times. “I don’t like fining players, but I’m not going to tell anybody to get a mask on. They’ll just get automatically hit with $14,000.”

He continued: “A vaccinated player will get tested 14 times this year. An unvaccinated player will get tested 140.”

Machine Gun Kelly Appears To Call His New Film With Megan Fox “Trash”

Machine Gun Kelly appeared to call his new movie, Midnight in the Switchgrass, trash in a new tweet about movies “i’m barely in.” Kelly appears in the upcoming film with his partner, Megan Fox.

“If i don’t talk or tweet about a movie i’m barely in it’s because it’s,” Kelly wrote in a tweet, followed by the trash emoji.

Both Kelly and Fox bailed on the film’s premiere, citing “the recent California mask mandate and rise of COVID cases,” which sparked rumors they may be unhappy with the film.

“That’s just something we were living in, so much has happened since,” she said. “The question of, ‘Did we have chemistry on screen?’ isn’t necessary, because chemistry has gotten us this far.”

Fox also shot down the idea that there’s any beef with Lala Kent, the fiancé of the film’s director, Randall Emmett. Kent cropped Fox out of a poster for Midnight in the Switchgrass in a now-deleted Instagram story.

“I really like Lala, so I can’t imagine she would be trying to do anything negative like that,” Fox explained. “She’s a lovely person.”

Kent has also denied there’s any beef: “My mother took the picture of a special moment in my fiancé’s life. In no way was it meant to shade anyone. I like Megan; she has been nothing but kind to me. I’m grateful she supported Randall in his directorial debut. I’m very proud of them both.”

NBA Youngboy Affiliate Was Set To Testify Against Lit Yoshi Before Shooting: Report

Lit Yoshi, who was allegedly involved in an April 2020 shooting that targeted an NBA YoungBoy affiliate, reportedly carried out the shooting because the NBA affiliate was set to testify against Yoshi for a prior shooting. The Advocate reports that detectives have found a YouTube video from March 2020, in which Yoshi calls the victim a “snitch.”

The outlet explains that an arrest warrant from Slidell police shows that officers discovered the “intended target was likely a man signed to the NBA Youngboy record label who allegedly had a ‘hit’ out on him from a rival Baton Rouge rap group.”

They continue to explain that “the man and another person, who was injured in the shooting, had just entered a car outside a Slidell apartment complex when they were met with a hail of bullets. The intended target, who escaped without injuries, was scheduled to testify against Edwards in court about a previous shooting. Detectives later unearthed a YouTube video posted in March 2020 in which Edwards called him a ‘snitch.'”

Police used cell phone tracking to link Yoshi to the April 29th shooting as well as a separate shooting on July 4, 2020.

Yoshi is currently facing seven counts of attempted first-degree murder but posted his $1.82 million bail back in August 2020. Prosecutors have filed a request to revoke his bond.

Drake has been teasing his upcoming album, Certified Lover Boy, since 2019, but it appears we’re finally on the precipice of a release. Earlier this year, the Toronto rapper confirmed that we’ll hear the album before the end of summer. He’s also recently confirmed that Certified Lover Boy is in the mixing process.

“You know, Uncle Drake is back home to mix the album so she’s got a bunch of new tracks coming her way,” Drizzy said earlier this month. “On my way home to reunite with my dawg and finish this thing up… CLB on the way. On your head top.”

While Drake hasn’t confirmed a date, he and Ye could certainly release around the same time if both artists stick to their word.

Wack100 Says Blueface Is The 1st “Mainstream Rapper” To Get In The Ring

Wack100 says that Blueface is the first “mainstream rapper” to get in the ring, following his fight against TikTok star Kane Trujillo at the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 19. Not only did Blueface win the fight, but he also took on an unruly fan who jumped in the ring afterward.

“Street squabble with a little bit of training. The famous Cryp just got more famous. The first mainstream rapper to take that fade in the ring and put it all on the line,” Wack wrote in an Instagram post, Saturday.

He added: “Say what you want this kid can take a punch …. @6ix9ine or @wizkhalifa looking like some good opponents.”

A fight against 6ix9ine is certainly a possibility as the controversial rapper has been calling out Blueface on social media in the weeks leading up to his BKFC fight.

Earlier this month, Blueface claimed that 6ix9ine snitched to Instagram and had his account deleted.

“Pay close attention,” Blueface wrote on Twitter, July 11th. “He reported all my post for bullying and deleted his skit. Playing victim like he did in court. My IG be back up shortly.”

“He should tattoo Instagram on his head they might give it back to him. They just told me,” 6ix9ine replied.

Kanye West was spotted at an Atlanta United soccer match, Saturday, following the DONDA listening event, earlier this week. West watched the game with Atlanta fans in the stands while rocking an all red fit and a mask that covered his entire face.

The legendary rapper’s support wasn’t enough to carry Atlanta to the win. The team fell 1-0 to the Columbus Crew.

West’s new project, DONDA, was originally scheduled to release on Friday, July 23rd but after the hours came and went, fans were left without any new music to enjoy. A close collaborator of West’s, Malik Yusef, has since revealed that the album will now drop on August 6th.

“We R super grateful, thankful and appreciative of all the love we’ve been getting for the new upcoming album #DONDA This is the 9th album I’ve worked on with @kanyewest , Me and bro weren’t communicating during the process of Jesus Is King so I missed that one. But in my opinion it’s our best work thus far. Also, as a side note my homie @Justinlaboy is more kind and caring, than he is toxic,” Yusef wrote in an Instagram post, Saturday.

Justin Laboy, who was spotted hanging with West, earlier this week, also confirmed the delayed release.
