Nivea Calls Out Man She Cheated With: “He Pimped The Sh*t Outta Me!”

There have been a few recent interviews with Nivea where the public gained much more insight into the struggles she’s experienced within the last two decades. The R&B singer was recently featured on BET’s Encore, a reality series that put several chart-topping singers together to form a supergroup. They named themselves The Blueprint and recently shared their first project, but it wasn’t music that Nivea was firing off Instagram Story messages about. She took to the app over the weekend to call out a man who she claimed “pimped” her.

“Yep I messed someone else’s so called ‘man’ and he pimped thee SH*T outta me!” wrote Nivea.

“Time to be exposed @iamtherealdp & @thesocialmisfit leeeesss GOOOOOO B*TCHES!” the singer continued. “Aaaaand I KNOW I’m not the ONLY one!! I’m taking the Lead on this Bill Cosby train! Idgaf if you don’t n*gga.” She later insinuated that after she made the posts, he was reaching out but she wasn’t interested in having a conversation because she is hurt.

The man later came forward with an explanation, claiming that he told Nivea that he was in a relationship and he had no plans on leaving his girlfriend. He also said the singer needs help, but Nivea clapped back and shared screenshots of their alleged text conversations. “Dis n*gga broke my f*cking heart man!”

Nivea isn’t usually so open about her romances outside of speaking on the fathers of her children, ex-fiancé Lil Wayne and ex-husband The-Dream. Check it all out below.

“King’s Disease II” Is Nas’ Highest Performing Album In Nearly A Decade

Remaining relevant in an industry that follows quick trends and caters to the youth is a challenging demand that most artists fail to meet, not Nasir Jones, however. After the success of King’s Disease, his Grammy-Award-winning collaborative album with super producer Hit-Boy, the two reunited on King’s Disease II and finished strong, with stellar reviews and an impressive debut on Billboard. Debuting at #3, King’s Disease II is Nas’ highest performing album since his 2012 post-divorce Life is Good.

Comprised of album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA), Billboard reports that Nas earned 56,000 equivalent album units in its first week, outperforming the original King’s Disease. Of that sum, SEA units comprise 35,000, equaling 47.44 million on-demand streams of the set’s songs.

Earlier this week, the two celebrated the release of the album and thanked fans on social media, solidifying this time period as “Escobar Season”. The album includes features from some of hip-hop’s most revered lyricists from EPMD, Eminem, and the legendary Ms. Lauryn Hill. The Queensbridge native also made sure to include new artists A Boogie wit da Hoodie and YG as well, giving the album a cohesive contemporary sound that still captures the essence of Nas’ top strength–storytelling. On King’s Disease II the rapper/serial entrepreneur also challenges himself by switching up his flow, giving fans a far more faster Migos-like cadence than we are used to.

Hit-Boy and Nas have for sure proven to be a solid producer/artist pair. Will King’s Disease II land the two another Grammy nod or win?

DaBaby Jokes About Being Canceled: “Switching To R&B”

Despite the lingering consequences of his homophobic remarks during Rolling Loud Miami and in his videos that followed, DaBaby is in good spirits. The rapper has been taking heavy hits both personally and professionally once his controversial stage antics went viral, and it has caused the North Carolina rapper to be pulled from at least a half-dozen festivals.

DaBaby has shared his final formal written apology and later deleted it from social media, and according to 50 Cent, his mentee didn’t necessarily deserve the response he received. Amid the ongoing conversations regarding homophobia in Hip Hop, DaBaby has resurfaced with a video where he jokes about switching genres after being edged out of Rap.

In the clip, DaBaby is with his daughter as they sing a portion of J. Cole’s 2013 hit “Power Trip” featuring Miguel. “They done canceled yo daddy twin,” the rapper wrote over the video. “I’m switching to R&B, **** a rap [crying laughing emojis][microphone emoji].”

His fans aren’t sure that an R&B career will prove to be lucrative, but they enjoyed seeing the DaBaby’s reutrn. Last week, 50 Cent said of DaBaby: “He’s only two years into his career. There’s no artist development. There’s no strong A&R in this. There’s definitely no media training.” The Power mogul is confident that DaBaby can turn this around.

“Remember they tried to cancel Chris Brown five or six times,” Fif added. Check out DaBaby with his daughter below.

Dr. Dre Hands Out “L” With First Tweet In Almost 2 Years

Dr. Dre confused his followers on Twitter, Monday, by responding to a tweet tagging VV Brown and the Metro UK with a simple “L.” Any connection Dre would have to Brown or why he would call the tweet an “L” is unclear.

“@VVbrown great to see @VVbrown in today’s @MetroUK,” the original post reads, which was posted on August 3rd.

Monday’s post was the first time Dre tweeted since November 18th, 2019, when he shared a photo of himself in the studio with Kanye West. “Ye and Dre Jesus is King Part II Coming Soon,” he wrote in that tweet.

While Jesus Is King 2 never came to fruition, Dre. appears to have produced some of the songs that may make the final cut for the tracklist to West’s upcoming album, Donda. Specifically, Dre produced a new song called “Glory” which was used in a new Beats by Dre just commercial featuring Sha’Carri Richardson.

It’s unclear when Donda will be released. Despite rumors that Donda may be getting shelved after a cryptic tweet from Mike Dean, the producer confirmed that he is still working on the project: “I haven’t quit anything.,” he wrote on Twitter. “The album continues. Lol. People read too much into tweets.”
