Lil Uzi Vert Claims Leaks Ruined His Original Version Of “Eternal Atake”

Lil Uzi Vert spent two years hyping up the original Eternal Atake. The rapper made it clear they wanted to make it their magnum opus. The critical reception was positive, and the fans liked it so much that Lil Uzi Vert just dropped a sequel, Eternal Atake 2. They spoke on their musical process, and their attachment to the Eternal Atake brand, during a recent interview with Complex. To the surprise of fans, though, Uzi was openly critical of the first album. They stated that Eternal Atake was ruined by leaks, and admitted they has regrets over the way it was reconfigured.

Lil Uzi Vert recalled being frustrated by the number of songs that leaked online during the Eternal Atake sessions. They attribute a lot of the songs leaks to the lack of a strong PR team. “I didn’t have the team I have today and everything got leaked and everyone had it already,” Uzi noted. The rapper then said that felt insecure about dropping material that had already leaked, and scrambled to record a new collection of songs as a result. “I was like, ‘No, I can do it all over again,’” they explained. “I actually did do good all over again.” Lil Uzi Vert then lamented that Eternal Atake had the misfortune of coming out during the 2020 pandemic. “When I finally dropped it,” they aded. “It fell into the COVID [era].”

Lil Uzi Vert Regrets Rerecording Their Entire 2020 Album

Lil Uzi Vert is proud of Eternal Atake the way it is. The rapper noted there was “good stuff” that resulted from the leaks, but remains haunted by the album that could have been. “Eternal Atake was perfect,” Uzi asserted. “If I knew what now, back then, I would’ve just put the whole leaked album out anyway instead of canceling it. Should have just put that whole album out and worked on my album.” It was actually the leak drama that led Lil Vert to make Eternal Atake 2. The rapper was so driven to rectify what they’d had happen with the first album that they wanted to top themselves.

“I knew there was going to be a sequel just from that point on,” they noted. Lil Uzi Vert has reignited his passion for music in recent months. They not only dropped Eternal Atake 2, but told Rolling Stone that they have plans to drop more frequently from here on out. “Yeah. I’m on go. I’m not even lying,” they stated. “They thought I was lying a few minutes ago. Now the tape is coming, everybody’s like, ‘You weren’t lying.’” The reception to Eternal Atake 2 has been mixed thus far, but we’re always looking forward to new Uzi music.

Lil Uzi Vert Claims “Eternal Atake 2” Is Coming Soon

Lil Uzi Vert is an artist who oftentimes promises their fans new music and then doesn’t deliver. Overall, it has happened on numerous occasions and it has led to a whole lot of frustration. Luv Is Rage 3 and Barter 16 are two recent examples of this. These were supposed to be on the horizon, and with an Uzi retirement to follow suit. However, neither project has been delivered and there have been zero updates on what is actually happening there.

Having said all of that, Uzi was recently interviewed, and they gave fans another update on their upcoming music. Instead of providing updates on the aforementioned projects, it would appear as though a different sequel is on the horizon. As Uzi explained, fans can expect Eternal Atake 2 to drop soon. How soon? Well, we didn’t get an answer to that question. However, we’re sure this will make fans hopeful.

What is Lil Uzi Vert Planning?

Of course, Eternal Atake was Uzi’s 2020 offering that at the time, was a long time in the making. It was an album that fans ended up loving, and a sequel would certainly play well to the crowd. The Pink Tape turned out to be one of the more disappointing releases of last year, and fans would like to hear Uzi redeem themself. For now, it remains to be seen how Uzi is going to evolve with this next project. Hopefully, the System of a Down covers are left off this time around.

Let us know if you are excited for Eternal Atake 2, in the comments section down below. Do you believe that this album is actually going to be released? Or do you think this is going to end up like Barter 16, which was never released and ultimately scrapped? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Roddy Ricch Said He Called Out The Grammys For Snubbing Lil Baby And Lil Uzi Vert

As one of the few younger rappers who has been recognized by the Grammys recently, Roddy Ricch has more of a relationship with the Recording Academy than some of his peers. At the 2020 awards, Roddy was nominated for a whopping six nominations, including nods for both Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year. Anyone who has followed the conversation around the Grammys and hip-hop over the years knows that they haven’t always gotten it right in the past.

During an appearance on Kevin Durant’s The ETCs Podcast last week, Roddy told KD that after his 2020 nominations he was “tripping” on the Grammys for snubbing a few of his peers. “Uzi is like, like when I was talking to the Grammy’s ‘y’all ain’t nominate Uzi for [Best Rap Album],’ I was tripping on them,” he remembered. “Even like Lil Baby, y’all ain’t nominate Lil Baby? Like I’m tripping, cause it’s like everybody got their own lane, and it should be spoken about, talked about more because I feel like the n——s now that’s doing shi* like, no disrespect, we really breaking barriers.”

In the year where Roddy received all his nominations, the projects from Uzi and Baby that would’ve been eligible are Lil Baby’s My Turn and Lil Uzi Vert’s long-awaited release, Eternal Atake, which were both released in 2020 as well. In fact, Baby’s My Turn was the best-selling album of 2020 (!) — even beating out Taylor Swift’s Folklore.

Roddy also told KD that instead of competition, he feels like it’s more of a collaborative vibe within the new cohort. “I feel like it’s more for sure more a collaboration because we run into each other more,” he said. “But I feel like everybody got their own lane, everybody got their thing they do, you know what I’m saying?”
