Jusuf Nurkić Responds to Draymond Green’s Subtle Shade

The rivalry between Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors and Jusuf Nurkić of the Phoenix Suns is far from over. On Monday night on Inside The NBA, Green made a comment that may be seen as some slight shade towards Nurkić, saying the Suns “have no big man.” Nurkić responded on social media on Tuesday and clowned Draymond. Nurk says Draymond “Still” needs some help and that Kevin Durant doesn’t like Green. The beef will probably continue into next season, so it’s good to familiarize yourself with why the two don’t mess with each other.

Though their history may have preceded it, Green’s blow to Nurkić’s face during Phoenix’s 119-116 victory against Golden State on December 12 appears to be the leading cause of their ill will. When the game was finished, Green expressed regret over the situation. Nurkić was not amenable to any reconciliation when he told reporters, “I feel like that brother needs help.” Draymond probably knew he was going to get a hefty suspension. The forward probably was trying to cool the situation down, but no one was having it. In their next meeting, they got into another problem. This time, things got heated between them. They have since traded shots on social media.

Jusuf Nurkić and Draymond Green Still Hate Eachother

After an incident with Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkić on December 12, the NBA gave him an indefinite suspension. As a result, he was unable to play in Golden State’s next 12 games. They had another altercation after Green returned to the Warriors. This prompted Nurkić to state that Green “didn’t learn anything” during his suspension and remained the same. Additionally, Green has been calling Nurkić a “300 pound softy” ever since, and Nurkić has responded in kind.

Nurkić is not in the best of moods to be talking badly about other people right now. The Suns were easily eliminated in the opening round. The embarrassing loss sparked much ridicule and talk about how severely they’ve screwed up team dynamics. At the end of the day, Nurkić is a role player, and Draymond is an NBA champion. Green gets leeway where others aren’t sure, but the big guy should let this beef go since he doesn’t really have the accolades or prestige to back it up.

Draymond Green Criticizes Patrick Beverley’s Antics

Last night, the Milwaukee Bucks were defeated 120-98 by the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers sent the Bucks packing, and Patrick Beverley went out in embarrassing fashion. During the Pacers’ victory against the Bucks last night, Patrick Beverley got into a fight with a spectator. Following the loss, Patrick Beverley attempted to throw a reporter out of the locker room for not subscribing to his podcast. Beverley has been getting deservedly picked apart all day. Draymond Green, no stranger to on-court antics, has weighed in on Pat Bev’s disastrous playoff exit.

Beverley has a history of bad behavior after losses in the playoffs. He has an infamous moment where he pushed Chris Paul in the back while he had his back turned a couple of years ago. All in all, he has a reputation as a sore loser and generally crosses the line. Beverley talked a lot of trash during the series against the Pacers, both on the court and off. The Pacers fans were happy to see the Bucks go, and Beverley being so vocal was a big reason for that. Draymond commented on Pat Bev’s meltdown on his podcast and found it hilarious and concerning.

Draymond Green Responds To Patrick Beverley’s Disastrous Exit

“Pat keeps having these instances after they lose in these playoff games — that one might’ve been crazier than the [Chris Paul] push,” Green said. “Because it opens up an entirely different can of worms. Adam’s gonna have a problem on his hands with this one, because it’s about as close as you can get to going in the stands. That is forbidden for us.” Involving fans is a big no-no in the league. Green also commented on Bev’s interaction with the reporter after the game, saying he himself takes a different approach and appreciates how the NBA promotes players’ podcasts.

Draymond concluded by saying, “Pat, you can’t keep having these moments, man, at the end of these losses,” Green said. “You’re starting to look like the kid that’s gonna grab the ball and say, ‘I’m going home, I can’t play, we’re outta here, we’re leaving the park, it’s my ball.’ Come on, Pat.” Draymond is entirely correct on this one. Sure, Draymond is notorious for his own antics on the court, but his points still stand. Nevertheless, it’s a bad look for Patrick Beverley.

Draymond Green Sounds Off On The Lakers Potentially Firing Darvin Ham

The Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated from the NBA playoffs by the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers fell 4-1 to the Nuggets in a hard-fought but ultimately futile effort. The Defending champs were just too much for LeBron James and the Lakers. Lakers coach Darvin Ham has been getting the brunt of the blame from fans and the Lakers organization, who are reported to be likely to fire him. There are some who think the criticism of Ham is ridiculous and that the Laker’s failings are more complex. Draymond Green believes it’s foolish to look to fire Darvin Ham despite what the consensus says.

Draymond is an outspoken player on and off the court. Whatever you think of his brash personality, sometimes he speaks the truth. Green has been sitting at home since the Golden State Warriors were eliminated from postseason play and has been focusing on his podcast. Green broke down his position on the Darvin Ham situation, ultimately defending the coach. The NBA champion makes some good points.

Draymond Green Defends Darvin Ham

Draymond Green says he thinks it would be wrong for the Lakers to fire Darvin Ham. “I think it’ll be wrong to fire him… [The Lakers] roster didn’t get better than last year… Everybody will blame [him], like, ‘Oh, it’s his fault.’ Is it really?” What he says makes perfect sense. The Laker’s roster did not get better in the offseason. It was not a better team than last season, and last season, they also were in the play-in tournament. Although They did make the conference finals last season, they failed to replace certain guys. Furthermore, their new signings did not perform well, and those facts ultimately prevented them from improving.

Draymond also adds that he doesn’t see LeBron James leaving LA. He says it’s possible if an interesting situation pops up. Ultimately, outside of that happening, Green says he will probably be back in Purple and Gold. The Lakers have some big decisions to make. They have to improve this roster to maximize the talents of Lebron, who is 39 years old, and Anthony Davis. All in all, it’s going to be a long off-season of decision-making for LA.

Draymond Calls Out Jusuf Nurkic Again After Suns Get Swept

Golden State Warrior Draymond Green and Phoenix Sun’s Jusuf Nurkić are not on the best of terms. Their altercation earlier in the season led to Draymond getting suspended for a large swath of the season. With a series sweep at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday night, the Suns were eliminated from the playoffs. Nurkić has never made it past the first round of the playoffs in his career, so this was just another early postseason departure for him. Draymond Green, of course, jumped on the opportunity to trash the Sun’s center.

Nurkić has the lowest postseason winning % in league history, with only three wins over his first 20 playoff games. Upon discovering that incredibly bad statistic, Green amused himself by making fun of Nurkić. “Hope that brother gets the help he needs,” Green wrote beside a slew of frozen-faced emojis on a graphic he posted on Instagram that showed Nurkić’s postseason problems. The Quote is what Nurkić said of Green after his suspension.

Draymond Green Doesn’t Hold Back On Jusuf Nurkic

Despite Green’s Warriors’ elimination in the play-in round, he didn’t hold back in taking a shot at Nurkić. Their feud is far from over and will probably be revisited next season. After falling to the Sacramento Kings in the play-in tournament, the Golden State Warriors were eliminated from the postseason. Following the defeat, Nurkic tweeted a picture of the well-known Looney Tunes phrase, “That’s all, folks.” Green didn’t forget that tweet and had some fun with it.

The Phoenix Suns were run off the court by the Timberwolves. Where they go from here is anyone’s guess. Devin Booker might be looking to move to the Big Apple. Kevin Durant is in the later stages of his career. The Golden State Warriors are in a similarly alarming situation, but at least they have Steph Curry and four rings to lean on. Overall, we can’t wait to see what the next altercation between Draymond and Jusuf Nurkić looks like.

Charles Barkley Roasts Draymond Green After Kenny Smith Diss

Inside the NBA is consistently the most entertaining basketball show on television. The chemistry between Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Saq, and Ernie Johnson is endlessly entertaining. Throughout the last week of playoff games, Chuck and Shaq have been trying to beat Kenny Smith to the board. This has been recurring, and recently, Kenny has been getting beat in the foot race. On Monday, Kenny Smith was sweating more than usual, and NBA star and frequent Inside the NBA guest Draymond Green decided to throw some shade at The Jet.

Charles Barkley recently roasted the entire city of Galveston, Texas, when he said the Pelicans should be sent there for punishment. Barkley apologized to Tina Knowles, Beyonce’s mother, who is from Galveston, to ward off any beehive shenanigans. The latest roasting comes from Draymond Green, who made a joke on Twitter about Kenny Smith’s hairline or lack thereof. Charles didn’t let the comment slide, firing back a hilarious roast right back at Green.

Charles Barkley Says Green Should Come To Work Since He Has Nothing Better To Do

Kenny’s hairline has been much discussed. Sometime in the past few months, he showed up at the studio one day and had an outline of a hairline. Kenny was completely bald before that so many assumed he got some work done. Draymond decided to roast Smith on Twitter and called him Kenny Boozer. It is in reference to the hilarious pic of Carlos Boozer with sprayed-on hair from back in the day. The studio showed a pic of Boozer and everything, and Charles Barkley and the guys laughed out loud.

Then Charles Barkley clapped back in hilarious fashion. He told Draymond to come back to work because he’s “got nothing better to do,” since the Lakers didn’t even make the playoffs.  Draymond occasionally works for TNT, so Chuck is wondering where his colleague is at. If you want to joke with the Inside the NBA crew, you better show up for work, according to Chuck. Inside the NBA will be covering game 5 between the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks tonight. We will be looking forward to what ever hilarious moments come out of the iconic NBA show.

Draymond Green Doesn’t “Give A Damn” About The Rockets

Draymond Green has long been known as one of the more outspoken NBA players. Sometimes, that leads to trouble, and other times, it leads to just some good old-fashioned smack talk. Green’s latest quote can be put under the label of some good smack talk. When asked about if he is keeping up with how the Houston Rockets were doing each night, Green kept his answer simple, he don’t give a damn.

The statement was quick and efficient for the point that Green was trying to make to the media. The Rockets are in a tightly contested battle with the Golden State Warriors for the final spot in the NBA Playoffs on the Western Conference side. However, Green wasn’t sharing any insight he may have about how he and his team feel about what the Rockets are doing. Which is actually the right attitude to have. Check out the clip of Green’s statement below.

Cam’ron & Mase Troll Draymond Green With Roc Nation & JAY-Z Comparison

Cam’ron and Mase weighed in on Draymond Green’s recent comments on LeBron James not appearing on his podcast during their show, It Is What It Is. In doing so, they compared Green joining Klutch Sports to artists signing to Roc Nation and expecting a feature from JAY-Z.

Green had been discussing James teaming up with JJ Redick to launch a new podcast, Mind the Game. On his own eponymous podcast, Green explained: “I’m a little upset that LeBron James is going on a podcast, and he still hasn’t been on ‘The Draymond Green Show.’ But when it’s your own thing, you kind of can’t say anything, so I guess I’ll live with it for now. Pick the bone with him that I got to pick with him later.”

Mase and Cam discussed the quote on the latest episode of It Is What It Is. “It’s almost like being on Roc Nation and you can’t get the verse,” Mase said, sparking Cam’ron to remark:” And, that happens a lot. You go to Roc Nation thinking you getting that Hov verse.” Mase added: “There’s a few n****s thought they was gonna get the Hov verse. You still waiting for that Hov verse.” From there, Cam’ron got more serious on the topic. “As far as Draymond is concerned, I know they good friends and Draymond’s been doing this for a long time– longer than we have anyway, and I think Draymond was one of the first athletes that was like, ‘New Media.’ I think what’s going on now is that the market– never for LeBron James. I’m just saying in general. It’s starting to get oversaturated,” he said.

Draymond Green Blames Damian Lillard For His Laughing During Fergie’s National Anthem

Draymond Green says that a remark from Damian Lillard prompted his candid laughter during Fergie’s infamous performance of the National Anthem at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game. The Golden State Warriors star explained that he was already starting to break when he heard Lillard joke, “They got you, dog.”

“You know how you start spiraling, and you gotta get out of it? You just gotta get to the edge?” Green explained to Taylor Rooks over All-Star Weekend. “And she kept going, like, deeper and deeper, and I was like, oh, she’s done. And then she starts spiraling more, I couldn’t believe it, and then, when I really started laughing, Dame was next to me, he was like, ‘They got you, dog.’ So then I really couldn’t hold it in, it was crazy.”

Sunday’s All-Star Game saw the return of the Western Conference versus Eastern Conference format. The East took home the win in a shootout that ended 211-186. Damian Lillard notched the NBA All-Star Game Kobe Bryant MVP award, becoming the first player in league history to do so while also winning the 3-point contest the night before. Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, Glen Rice, and Larry Bird have all won both awards, but in separate seasons.

Draymond Green Explains His Laughter

While Green didn’t participate in this year’s All-Star Game, he’s made it on four teams throughout his career. His Warriors teammate, Stephen Curry, did however play in Sunday’s game. Be on the lookout for further updates on Draymond Green and the NBA All-Star Weekend on HotNewHipHop.

Did Draymond Green Flex His Rings Or Threaten A Shanking?

Fans are debating how to interpret a clip of Draymond Green from a recent game against the Clippers. A very intense Green was seen showing four things toward an unknown party before making a sharp, staccato motion. Several fans have argued that this was Green threatening to shank someone. However, others have countered by arguing that Green was merely flexing his four championship rings.

Draymond had nine points, 10 rebounds, and four assists in the 15-point loss to LA. In three games against the Clippers this season, Green is averaging 14.3/8/4.3. The blowout loss dropped the Warriors back to .500 at 26-26. The team currently holds 10th in the West, courtesy of Utah being 0-3 in their three more games played than the Warriors. Up next for Golden State are the aforementioned Jazz. That is followed by a three-game homestand against the Lakers, Hornets, and Nuggets.

Draymond Green Continues To Go After Jusuf Nurkic

Meanwhile, Green has continued to take shots at Suns center Jusuf Nurkic. During a segment on The Draymond Green Show, the veteran Warrior went after comments that Nurkic made during their tense first meeting since Green’s suspension last week. Green dismissed Nurkic’s comments about his volatility by suggesting that the center was just mad that Green had cooked him all game. Green consistently brought up how poorly Nurkic had performed in the matchup. However, fans were quick to point out that the stat line that Green was roasting was a “typical Draymond night”.

Following their meeting last week, in which Green and Nurkic traded words and taunts, Nurkic made a heated prediction about the rest of Green’s season. “It’s sad. He didn’t learn anything. Just a matter of time. He’s going to hit somebody else again. Take back everything I said. He don’t deserve a chance,” Nurkic said. At the time, Green took the high road, speaking on his own gameplay. However, it’s clear that Green is eager to feud with the Suns big man.

Draymond Green & Jusuf Nurkic Trade Barbs In First Meeting Since Former’s Suspension

Draymond Green and Jusuf Nurkic wasted no time in reigniting their beef as the two players faced for the first time since Green’s December suspension for striking Nurkic in the head. In the first quarter of the Warriors’ win over Phoenix, Nurkic slapped the floor and hit Green with the “too small” taunt after putting in a shot over the veteran forward. Two minutes later, Green scored on Nurkic and smacked the court just as the Suns center had. “You can’t be a nothing defender if you’re going to do that. You probably outweigh me by 70 pounds and you get put in the rim? Got to be more careful,” Green later said of Nurkic.

Despite his own role in the on-court beef, Nurkic argued that it was a “matter of time” before Green was suspended again. “It’s sad. He didn’t learn anything. Just a matter of time. He’s going to hit somebody else again. Take back everything I said. He don’t deserve a chance,” Nurkic said. However, Green chose not to elevate things when informed of his rival’s comments. “I thought I was great tonight. He tried to get in my head, and it didn’t work. If he wants me to walk around quiet, like him, I’m never going to do that. Quiet guys don’t win. He can keep rocking with that same horse that he rode in on. He can ride his a– right out of here on that same horse. It’s not working,” Green quipped.

Draymond Green Missing From Initial Team USA Olympic Pool

However, Green is still feeling some of the consequences of his rocky, suspension-filled start to the season. Last month, Green was the most notable name missing from the initial 41-player pool for the Team USA Men’s Basketball Olympic Roster. The exclusion of Green, who won gold in 2016 and 2020, was surprising given that his club head coach, Steve Kerr, is also the national team coach. However, USA Basketball executive director Grant Hill explained that it was Green’s on-court antics keeping him out of contention at the moment. “His contributions have been significant, and he is a real part of the legacy of this organization for his excellence. But I think just in lieu of sort of what’s transpired this year, we made a decision to not have [Green] on this list with this particular point in time with the process,” Hill said in a media Zoom call.

Green will be able to play his way into the roster over the next few months. The team isn’t expected to be picked until May at the earliest. Meanwhile, the rest of the list is a veritable list of bona fide NBA talent. LeBron, Steph Curry, Jayson Tatum, and Joel Embiid all appear on the list. However, there is also a cache of younger stars like Walker Kessler, Chet Holgrem, and Tyrese Haliburton.
