Sacramento Kings superstar guard De’Aaron Fox returned to Cy Lakes High School in Katy, Texas for his jersey retiring ceremony. During his time at his alma mater, Fox celebrated his legacy at the school and expressed his thanks for their past and continued support.

So far this season, Fox averaged 31.3 points and 6.0 assists for the Kings in their early season. You can see moments from the retirement ceremony below.

Sacramento Kings Tease New Uniforms For Upcoming Season

The Sacramento Kings took the entire NBA by storm this past season. Led by a crew of young talent, the Kings exceeded all expectations, earning a playoff spot. However, all great stories don’t have perfect endings. The Kings were eliminated in the first round by the Golden State Warriors. However, even in defeat, the team put the entire league on notice. With the franchise ready to turn to the next chapter, some changes may need to be made.

The first change being uniforms. The Kings have one of the more rare color combinations in the entire league. Purple and Black isn’t a combination that you see in many sports organizations. However, it does define this franchise. If you’re old enough, those colors remind you of teams that the city can be proud of. Now, the franchise is seemingly ready to move on from its purple history. The teaser clip above could be just to swerve the Kings faithful. However, no purple would be a sad day for all involved. In the video, it seems that the purple uniforms are meant to keep the beam lit. “Light The Beam” took over the league this season. As every Kings home win meant the sky would be lit with a purple hue. While Ivan Ooze was probably somewhere smiling, purple is now taking the brunt of the jokes.

With speculation running rampant, uniforms shouldn’t be the main topic. The topic should be that the Sacramento Kings are back as one of the top teams in the league. SOURCE SPORTS: Kings’ De’Aaron Fox Doubtful with Fractured Finger Tip

The Sacramento Kings may be without De’Aaron Fox for Game 5 of their series against the Golden State Warriors. According to ESPN, Fox has fractured the tip of his left index finger.

In protection of the broken tip, Fox would need to wear a protective covering over his finger and is currently listed as doubtful.

The NBA’s Clutch Player of the Year averages 31.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 7.0 assists for this series.

Game 5 is in Sacramento on Wednesday.

Kendrick Perkins understands how serious the De’Aaron Fox injury is. It was announced on Monday that Fox has fractured his index finger in his left shooting hand. The injury will for sure put the Kings in a tough spot in winning the series over the Golden State Warriors. However, Perkins believes that Fox could play through the injury. Because the former NBA big man has dealt with an injury like this before. While discussing Fox’s injury on NBA on ESPN, Perkins showed off his damaged finger for the audience.

Perkins’ finger looks like it never properly healed. Leading one co-host of the show, Richard Jefferson, jokingly telling Perkins to “Don’t do that on TV!” Everyone involved in the segment gasped when Perkins revealed his bust finger to the camera. De’Aaron Fox is having himself a career season. The Kings guard can now add another accolade to his successful season. However, for this award, Fox is the first player to ever win the award. On Tuesday, it was announced that Fox became the NBA’s first Clutch Player of the Year. Being clutch is not something you work at becoming. It is already in your DNA. For Fox, fans knew he would be clutch going back to his college days at Kentucky. Now he has the hardware to show for it.
