Rihanna Possibly Touring After Super Bowl Performance: Report

Rihanna is reportedly considering going on a massive tour after her highly anticipated Super Bowl performance. The singer will be headlining the halftime show for Super Bowl LVII on Sunday. The performance will be Rihanna’s first concert since 2016 when she went on tour after the release of ANTI.

“There has been a lot of talk among people in the know, especially in the last week or two, that Rihanna is gearing up to announce a tour,” one insider told The NY Post. “It seems to be more than just hearsay at this point.” Another added: “Even some members of Rihanna’s team have been kept in the dark. It’s all a big secret, from the details of her halftime show to what’s next — if anything.”

Despite her upcoming performance, Rihanna previously stated that she had no interest in performing for the NFL. Speaking with Vogue in 2019, she cited the treatment of Colin Kaepernick and others who the league blacklisted for protesting police brutality. “I couldn’t dare do that. For what? Who gains from that?” she said at the time. “Not my people. I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler. There’s things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.”

If Rihanna does go on tour in 2023, she’d likely rival Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour in popularity. Tickets for the “Break My Soul” singer’s run of concerts have proven difficult for fans to get their hands on. When they went on sale to the general public in the U.K. on Tuesday, millions of fans flocked to Ticketmaster’s queue. In a press statement, Live Nation shared that fan demand for the U.S. shows exceeded available seats by over 800%. “It is still expected that the majority of interested fans will not be able to get tickets,” they said. “Demand drastically exceeds supply.” Be on the lookout for tour information from Rihanna following her Super Bowl performance on Sunday.

Beyoncé Announces U.K. Tour, Millions Of Fans Join Queue

General sale tickets for Beyoncé’s upcoming U.K. tour go on sale at 10:00 AM on Tuesday. She’ll be performing in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Sunderland. Following the announcement, millions of fans have joined the Ticketmaster queue in anticipation. The concerts will mark Beyoncé’s first solo performances in the U.K. since 2016.

Prices for Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour range from £56 for a seated ticket to £2,400 for a VIP “on-stage” front-row experience. Three extra London dates have already been added in anticipation of their popularity. With this many fans already in the queue, it’s possible Beyoncé adds even more dates.

Tickets for Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour in the United States already went on sale, last week. The iconic pop star added shows in Toronto, Washington D.C., Chicago, as well as L.A., and more as shows quickly sold out. In a press statement, Live Nation shared that fan demand exceeded available seats by over 800%. “It is still expected that the majority of interested fans will not be able to get tickets,” they said. “Demand drastically exceeds supply.”

Fans on Twitter have been posting about the long queue lines throughout the morning. One wrote: “I’m in the queue for the 6/1 show. Unless 400k people before me turned down tickets… Beyoncé is stressing me OUT. I just wanna see the show.” Another added: “Every time I decide I’ve given up on Beyonce tickets she adds a new date – and then there’s still 150k+ people in the queue in front of me!”

The reveal of Beyoncé’s U.K. tour dates comes after the “Break My Soul” singer set the record for most Grammy wins of all time. Future Rocks Strange Balaclava After Bringing Out T.I., Lil Durk, & DaBaby For “One Big Party” Tour

Future was spotted celebrating in a strange balaclava piece at a club while traveling the U.S. for his One Big Party tour. DJ Akademiks shared a clip of the rapper in the outfit, warranting a response from Marshmello. The famed DJ labeled Future his “twin.”

The viral clip was taken after Future brought out T.I., Lil Durk, and DaBaby at his tour stop in Charlotte, earlier this month.

Joining Future on the One Big Party tour are Kodak Black, Trippie Redd, Polo G, EST Gee, as well as Babyface Ray, and more. While the tour is short in length, there are still several chances to catch Future and his collaborators before the shows wrap up. Among the remaining stops are the United Center in Chicago, the Capital Arena in Washington D.C., and finally, the TD Garden in Boston.

The One Big Party tour comes after Future recently said he’s working on becoming a billionaire. Speaking with Billboard, he explained his current career goals.

“My main focus right now is just to do something I never done. One thing I never done is make a billion dollars,” he said. “Sometimes I ask questions, if I meet a billionaire, like, ‘How’d you get to where you got?’… It just helps me to understand that I’m on the right path when I talk to people that have billions.”

Continuing his hot start to 2023, Future is also up for six awards at the 2023 Grammys. The nominations include Best Rap Album (I Never Liked You), Best Rap Song (“Wait For U”), and Best Rap Performance (“Pushin’ P”).

Drake Confirms He’s Going On Tour Next Year

Drake says that he’s touring in 2023, following the release of his recent albums Her Loss and Honestly, Nevermind. The Toronto rapper spoke about his excitement for the upcoming shows during a live stream for the gambling site, Stake.

“Tour. Ah, man, I can’t wait. You know, it’s so unfortunate. The other day I was rehearsing a bunch of days and one of the shows got pushed back,” he said. “But yeah, man, I’m just looking forward to going. It’s like one thing to make the music but to see it is the most gratifying feeling.”

As for which shows Drake pushed back, his performances at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York City have moved to January. This is the second time he’s postponed them. He had scheduled a first show for November 11 but delayed it after the death of Migos rapper Takeoff. He then rescheduled with a second night for December 6 and 7, but postponed yet again to January 21 and 22.

Drake, SiriusXM, and Sound 42 released a joint statement explaining the date changes.

“We as a team have been working around the clock not just putting together a concert but an experience our fans deserve. With that said, we are up against some production delays that are just out of our control,” they said.

Drake previously teased hitting the road during his SiriusXM radio show, Table For One.

“I’m excited for tour,” he said. “I’m excited for tours just another opportunity for me to be with my brother and, just, I mean shit our set that night is going to be dangerous.”
