Kanye West Brought Out Marilyn Manson At His ‘Donda 2’ Listening Party In Miami

Since one of the few people giving the public information about Kanye’s anticipated Donda follow-up, Donda 2, already let us know Marilyn Manson has been a fixture during Kanye’s recent studio sessions, the accused rapist’s presence at the listening parties for Ye’s latest album shouldn’t come as a surprise. Earlier this year, Kanye’s collaborator Digital Nas told Rolling Stone “I see Marilyn a lot in the studio. Like, every day I go to the studio, Marilyn is there working on Donda 2.”

And tonight, at the Florida listening party for the record, Manson was front and center with Ye, along with the still-embattled rapper DaBaby, whose recent comments about HIV rubbed plenty of fans — and his own fellow collaborators — as extremely homophobic and backwards. But in Kanye’s world, being chastised by the public is part of an artist’s appeal. Tonight’s listening party took place at LoanDepot Park Stadium in Miami, Florida, and marked the second time Ye brought out both artists for a listening — they also joined him at the original Donda listening in Chicago.

Another takeaway from the night was Kanye sampling his ex-wife Kim Kardashian calling him the greatest rapper alive on SNL, and vocals from the late, controversial rapper XXXTentacion. So needless to say, this album is going to be a doozy. Stay tuned.

DaBaby’s Lawyer Calls The Lawsuit From DaniLeigh’s Brother ‘A Quick Money Grab’

A little over a week ago, word came out that the Los Angeles Police Department was investigating Charlotte rapper DaBaby for assault with a deadly weapon after a video surfaced online of the rapper and his companions attacking a man identified as Brandon Bills, the brother of DaBaby’s ex DaniLeigh, in a bowling alley. It was reported two days ago that Bills was seeking compensation, suing DaBaby for assault, battery, emotional distress, and negligence, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

Now, according to TMZ, DaBaby’s lawyer Drew Findling is claiming that Bills initiated the threats: “It is offensive that this alleged victim threatened and instigated violence and has now used this incident to make a quick money grab […] Garbage like this has no place adding to the backlog and wasting law enforcement time and energy.”

Bills did threaten to fight DaBaby due to his ill treatment of DaniLeigh in a video he shared back in November. “When you come to the West Coast, bro, which I know you be out here, you’re going to catch this one-on-one fade, bro,” Bills said. “One-on-one fade to see what happens between me and you. I want to see how gangsta you are, to see how much of a real man you are.”

DaniLeigh’s Brother Is Reportedly Suing DaBaby For Assault, Battery, And More

Last week, a video surfaced of DaBaby and his crew in a fight with DaniLeigh’s brother Brandon Bills, who was born Brandon Curiel. The incident took place at Corbin Bowl, a bowling alley in Topanga, California, and it came after multiple disputes between DaBaby and DaniLeigh, who have a child together. During the fight, Bills was punched, grabbed and swung around by his hair, and repeatedly thrown to the ground. Now, Bills is seeking compensation, suing DaBaby for assault, battery, emotional distress, and negligence, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

In the documents, Bills said he was attacked by DaBaby and his crew without warning after walking by them in the bowling alley. Before the fight, Bills threatened to fight DaBaby due to his ill treatment of DaniLeigh. “When you come to the West Coast, bro, which I know you be out here, you’re going to catch this one-on-one fade, bro,” Bills said in a video he shared back in November. “One-on-one fade to see what happens between me and you. I want to see how gangsta you are, to see how much of a real man you are.”

Bills’ lawsuit comes after DaBaby was reportedly placed under investigation as a result of the incident. Local authorities are investigating DaBaby for assault with a deadly weapon, focusing on him allegedly kicking Bills in the head during the fight.

DaBaby Is Being Investigated For Assault With A Deadly Weapon After Brawling With DaniLeigh’s Brother

XXL reports that the Los Angeles Police Department is investigating Charlotte rapper DaBaby for assault with a deadly weapon after a video surfaced online of the rapper and his companions attacking a man identified as Brandon Bills, the brother of DaBaby’s ex DaniLeigh. The fight, which took place at Corbin Bowl in Tarzana, California, saw DaBaby and his friends outnumbering and overwhelming Bills on the slippery bowling surface, kicking him after he fell on the floor.

Bills had confronted the rapper at the bowling alley three months after DaBaby and DaniLeigh had an altercation on Instagram Live in which DaBaby tried to dismiss the singer, who physically attacked him in response. The incident ended with DaniLeigh being charged with two counts of simple assault after DaBaby filed a police report from that incident and another taking place a day later. The two entertainers share an infant daughter.

The incident at the bowling alley is just the latest one in which DaBaby was accused of leading a physical assault with his friends. In February 2021, he was accused of jumping the owner of an Airbnb he’d rented after violating his rental agreement to shoot a music video there, while in December, he paid a penalty to avoid charges in a 2020 beating of a limo driver in Las Vegas.
