Christian Cowan Releases Absurd Teletubby Boots

In the childhood of many, the 90ss TV show Teletubbies had a great impact. Many people nostalgically remember the colorful and animated creatures that were divided into different colors. This was a BBC children’s show made for a preschool audience. The Teletubbies were so popular that they even won multiple international awards. Undoubtedly, they are a symbol of the popular culture of that time. What no one imagined is that some Teletubby Boots would be a fashion statement in 2023. But how is this possible and where does it come from?

Recently, the designer Christian Cowan launched a capsule collection of classic styles inspired by 90s fashion with an exclusive Teletubbies theme. The collection consists of a denim jacket, hoodie, wide-leg jeans, and a t-shirt that features screen prints. But undoubtedly the most striking piece of the collaboration is the high-heel Teletubby Boots. These boots are based on Dipsy’s character, the neon green creature with a horizontal line antenna. What stands out the most is that the boots’ structure has the plush figure of Dipsy on top. It includes the arms and the head, which makes the design something that has never been seen before. But, this is not the first time that Cowan has launched a unique collection like this.

Teletubby Boots Unveiled

Clearly, there are tastes for everything. Within the public, there will be people who like and dislike these boots. But much of the criticism and controversy is due to the fact that this accessory is priced at £2,086.00. Although the designer’s brand and products are usually expensive many users wonder if it is worth acquiring such unique and different boots at such a high price. The Teletubby Boots come in different sizes that can be purchased on the official website of Christian Cowan.

As you can see, fashion is an industry that is constantly changing and never ceases to amaze. This trend of footwear with extravagant designs has been seen before with the Big Red Boots and Mario Boots. If you are not afraid to wear something extraordinary and limitless, then Teletubby boots are a must-have option.

Teyana Taylor Was Dripped In Denim At The Christian Cowan Fall-Winter Showcase

Singer and actress Teyana Taylor was among many who attended the Christian Cowan Fall/Winter 2023 show yesterday. The singer is no stranger to pulling off looks, as shown through her Instagram. Moreover, her sense of style can also be seen through her role as Creative Director at PrettyLittleThing. According to Women’s Wear Daily, “I’ve always had a love for fashion, different looks, and clothes,” said Taylor. She first partnered with PrettyLittleThing as the face of its collab with designer Karl Kani.

The Christian Cowan show provided dramatic looks referencing female icons who have impacted the queer community. Subsequently, it was only fitting for Teyana Taylor to be in attendance. The label upped the anti on their signature party-girl theme for fall, becoming slightly more mature for the Fall/Winter season, with tailored silhouettes and silky lustrous fabrics. According to Paper Magazine, “The collection had several of Cowan’s flamboyant signatures like feathered veils, crystal fringe, and latex gloves. There were a few show-stopping accessories, too, including giant feathered headdresses”.

Equally important was Teyana’s look for the show. The outfit completely diverted from the collection’s aesthetic. Teyana Taylor sizzled the front row with a topless denim-on-denim look reflecting a staple Y2K trend. Overtop, she wore a structured navy blue denim blazer adorned with jeweled designs over the breast that resembled a faux bra. She styled the blazer with a matching pair of high-waisted dark blue jeans. The jeans were also bedazzled with jewels over her midriff.

Finally, to accessorize further, Teyana added some gold jewelry such as necklaces and body chains. To keep the gold theme going, she added a gold ear cuff. She finished the look off with circle-framed sunglasses and a complimentary navy New York Yankee’s fitted. For footwear, she added a classic pair of Timberland boots. Additionally, Lil Nas X, Sam Smith, Bella Thorne, and Orville Peck were all present at the show, wearing equally dramatic looks reflecting the ensembles exhibited on the runway. Furthermore, Teyana Taylor was spotted at several other fashion shows this week. She wore an all-red getup (giving total Rihanna super bowl vibes) at the LaQuan Smith showcase. Teyana also made waves in a multi-patterned suit and tie look at the Thom Browne show.
