Ben Simmons Roasted Following Kevin Durant Trade

Ben Simmons has not had a very good season with the Brooklyn Nets. Ever since being traded to the team, Simmons has had excuse after excuse. Overall, Nets fans are already growing tired of him. Furthermore, his bad play has only been exacerbated by the fact that Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have been embroiled in some drama. Moreover, even head coach Jacque Vaughn seems to be annoyed by him, which doesn’t bode well for his future with the team. If one thing is for certain, Simmons has a whole lot of work to do, moving forward.

As many fans already know, Kyrie Irving was traded from the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday night. Moreover, Kevin Durant was traded to the Phoenix Suns just a few hours ago. This ultimately makes the Nets a gutted team with just a few players left. One of those players is none other than Ben Simmons. When he was in Philadelphia, Simmons was a player who could carry by himself. Although, this is no longer the case and as you can imagine, the jokes are already starting to fly on social media.

All throughout the night and the early morning, Ben Simmons has been a trending topic on Twitter. Most of the jokes involve him not being particularly good at leading a team all by himself. Overall, these jokes are extremely humorous, and there is this sense that Simmons is going to implode if things continue down this trajectory. At this point, he has become a very easy target, and with KD and Kyrie off the team, this has become even more true.

Of course, today is the trade deadline which means there is a chance that Simmons could be sent somewhere else entirely. However, as we reported earlier in the week, there are some around the NBA who feel as though Simmons has zero trade value right now. Either way, the Nets will be fun to watch throughout today. Kyrie Irving Gets Brutally Honest About Kevin Durant Trade

Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets didn’t exactly have the most productive relationship. During their time together, it was clear that they had all sorts of disagreements on how things should be done. In the end, Irving ended up demanding a trade. Subsequently, he was sent to none other than the Dallas Mavericks. Overall, this was a great move for the Mavericks, who now have an otherworldly backcourt that includes both Kyrie and Luka Doncic.

Following this trade, the Brooklyn Nets sat down with Kevin Durant. Of course, without Kyrie on the team, Durant had very few reasons to want to stay in Brooklyn. However, for the most part, the Nets were making it clear that a KD trade was off of the table. In the end, the Nets went back on these words and ultimately sent KD to the Phoenix Suns. The Nets then got back a haul of Cam Johnson, Mikal Bridges, and Jae Crowder. Overall, this was a huge move for the Suns who are now one step closer to being an NBA Finals team for the second time in three seasons.

Kyrie Irving Reacts

Following his very first win with the Dallas Mavericks, Kyrie was asked how he felt about the KD trade. Based on his answer, you can tell that he did not care much for the Nets organization, at all. “I’m just glad he got out of there,” Kyrie said. Moreover, he noted that he never felt like KD was mad at him for all of his decisions. Needless to say, these two are still good friends, and that will likely never change. Now, however, they will become enemies as the Mavericks and Suns are building a very nice rivalry in the Western Conference.

Today is the trade deadline, which means there are plenty more trades that could be coming down the pipeline. Having said that, let us know which trades you would like to see, in the comments down below. At this point, don’t expect any more blockbusters as most of those have already happened. Stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the NBA.

Kevin Durant Traded To The Suns: Full Details

Kevin Durant is one of the best players in the entire NBA. Back in 2019, he joined forces with Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn. Overall, this turned out to be a suspect decision as the Nets never had any real sustained success. They were never able to get past the second round of the playoffs, and there was always some sort of drama. Subsequently, Kyrie Irving was traded to the Dallas Mavericks over the weekend. This just added fuel to the fire and made everything infinitely worse. It felt like there was truly no hope for the Nets and it led to conversations between KD and the team’s front office.

However, over the last few days, the Nets had been adamant about not trading Kevin Durant. After all, why would they? With KD, they still had a chance at making it to the postseason and doing some damage. Furthermore, he is under contract and the team is well within its rights to keep him. Well, with the trade deadline going down today, the Nets decided to change course in epic fashion. Yes, that’s right, they moved Kevin Durant to the Phoenix Suns.

Kevin Durant To Phoenix

The Suns are under new ownership, and according to Adrian Wojnarowski, Matt Ishbia was pushing heavily for this move. Additionally, the Suns were willing to give up a whole bunch of assets. These assets include Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crwoder, four first-round picks, and a 2028 pick swap. Needless to say, the Nets are getting a massive haul for their superstar. Moreover, the Suns will also get TJ Warren which helps sweeten the deal a bit. Either way, this is a huge move for both sides, and this definitely makes the Suns the new favorites to win the Western Conference and even the NBA title.

There have been some massive moves in the NBA over the last 24 hours. For instance, Russell Westbrook was traded to the Utah Jazz. We will have more coverage on that soon, so stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news from around the NBA. SOURCE SPORTS: Kevin Durant Traded Overnight in Blockbuster Deal with Phoenix Suns

Durant, Irving, Aldridge Clear Health and Safety Protocols

The Kevin Durant era in Brooklyn is over. The Phoenix Suns have added Durant to their core of Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and DeAndre Ayton in a blockbuster trade.

According to ESPN, Durant, and T.J. Warren were traded for Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder, and four unprotected future first-round picks. The draft picks will be for 2023, 2025, 2027, and 2029. The Suns also have an option for a 2028 pick swap.

The trade follows a teardown for the Nets, who just a week ago also had Kyrie Irving and were considered a contender to emerge from the East.

ESPN notes Durant and his business manager, Rich Kleiman, let the Nets front office know that the Phoenix deal was still their preference. For the Nets, acquiring Bridges was a requirement in the agreement.

NYC Mayor Eric Adams Shades Kyrie Irving: ‘One Player Can Bring Down the Synergy’

NYC Mayor Eric Adams

New York City mayor Eric Adams has jokes. Before Kyrie Irving was moved to the Dallas Mavericks, Spectrum News NY1’s Pat Kiernan asked the mayor what he would do about the Brooklyn Nets’ situation. Mayor Adams’s plan was to sabotage another team with his presence.

“I will find the team that beats us the most and send him to that team, because then we’ll start beating that team,” Adams said. “It’s about synergy in energy. No matter how much talent you have, your ability to interact with your colleagues is more important.”

He added, “One player can bring down the synergy of the team. And so I would send him to the team that beats us the most so we can start winning better.”

Days after requesting a trade from the Brooklyn Nets, Kyrie Irving officially became a member of the Dallas Mavericks.

After unsuccessfully negotiating a contract extension, Irving informed the franchise he would like to be moved by the Feb. 9 deadline or risk him leaving for nothing in free agency.

According to The Athletic, Irving was offered a contract extension with stipulations, but that was declined. “Principle differences” emerged after Irving declined the deal.

In return for Irving, the Nets will receive Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, a first-round and multiple second-round picks.

Kevin Durant Meets With Nets Following Kyrie Trade

Kevin Durant has had a very interesting time with the Brooklyn Nets. Overall, he has played incredible basketball with the team. However, thanks to the drama surrounding the team, there has yet to be any real sustained success. One could point to countless injuries and a ton of blockbuster trades that have mostly gone sour. More recently, Kyrie Irving decided to demand a trade from the Nets. Subsequently, he was dealt to the Dallas Mavericks, where he will look to change the narrative about himself.

As for KD, well, he has been left all alone with the likes of Ben Simmons. Sure, he may have some new teammates to work with, however, his superstar point guard is officially gone. Now, his whole reason for being in Brooklyn in the first place has left. Considering the fact that KD demanded a trade back in the summer, one could assume he would do this all over again. Overall, it would be absolutely disastrous to the Nets franchise. Regardless, they did a bad job of managing assets, and now, it could set them back for the next decade.

Kevin Durant Strategizes

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Kevin Durant has officially begun meetings with the Brooklyn Nets. Mostly, it seems like these meetings are to discuss the future of the team. Additionally, there is no sense that a trade is going to be made, anytime soon. However, that could certainly change if Durant is not happy with what he’s hearing. After all, there are a ton of teams out there who are eager to potentially get him. These teams include the Phoenix Suns, Atlanta Hawks, and even the Boston Celtics. For now, though, Nets fans should take a deep breath as KD appears to be staying.

Moving forward, the trade deadline is going to take place on Thursday, February 9th. This means there isn’t much time left for teams to make deals of any kind. There might be some blockbuster deals come Thursday, although as it stands, movement is at a minimum. There is going to be plenty of news this week, so stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates from the NBA. Additionally, let us know which trades you would like to see, in the comments section.

Kyrie Irving Roasted By NYC Mayor Eric Adams

Kyrie Irving will no longer be a member of the Brooklyn Nets moving forward. On Sunday, Irving was traded to the Dallas Mavericks in a blockbuster move that will shake up the league. Overall, this move is something the Nets were forced into as Kyrie decided to request a trade. Of course, the team had little to no interest in fighting him, so they just made a deal as quickly as possible. Subsequently, they could be at risk of losing Kevin Durant, who won’t put with mediocrity for long.

As for Kyrie, he certainly built up his fair share of enemies while in Brooklyn. Although Kyrie didn’t pay much attention to this, there is no doubt that his foes were watching intently. One of these enemies was none other than New York City Mayor Eric Adams. Adams is the one who implemented the vaccine mandates, which subsequently led to Kyrie sitting out for home games last season. Interestingly enough, now that Kyrie is off of the team, Adams is still going after the point guard.

Kyrie Irving Called Out

During a recent interview on Spectrum News in New York, Adams got very honest about his thoughts toward Kyrie. Simply put, he believes the NBA superstar was not good for the Nets locker room. Consequently, he thinks that the trade was good for the team, moving forward. “I will find the team that beats us the most and send him to that team, because then we’ll start beating that team,” Adams said Monday. “It’s about synergy in energy. No matter how much talent you have, your ability to interact with your colleagues is more important. One player can bring down the synergy of the team. And so I would send him to the team that beats us the most so we can start winning better.”

Overall, these are some pretty harsh comments. However, it is clear that many New Yorkers feel this way right now. Moving forward, Kyrie will have to make it work with Luka Doncic, and there is no guarantee that will happen. Hopefully, he is able to change the various narratives surrounding his name. Let us know what you think of Mayor Adams’ remarks, in the comments down below.

Ben Simmons Reportedly Has No Value Right Now

Ben Simmons has been having a very difficult time with the Brooklyn Nets. Of course, he had his fair share of issues when it came to the Philadelphia 76ers. Subsequently, this led to a blockbuster trade including James Harden. So far, the Sixers have won that deal as Simmons has done close to nothing with Brooklyn. Overall, his offensive game is almost non-existent, and the team isn’t getting what they bargained for. He has one of the worst contracts in the entire league, and the Nets are simply fed up with what they’ve seen. Additionally, with Kyrie Irving gone, the Nets are now exceptionally depleted.

On Thursday, teams throughout the NBA will be scrambling to improve their teams. This is because it is the trade deadline. For many NBA fans, this is the best day of the regular season. Some big trades get made, and consequently, there is plenty to talk about. Although, for a team like the Nets, the trade deadline could be a make-or-break moment for them. They clearly need more talent to support Kevin Durant, and one would think Ben Simmons could be a trade piece.

Ben Simmons Regresses

However, you would be wrong about the above assumption. According to Bobby Marks on ESPN, Ben Simmons has virtually no trade value. There isn’t a single team that is interested in his contract. In fact, the Nets would have to include all sorts of draft picks to even make a Simmons trade feasible. Overall, this is quite embarrassing for Simmons, who was once thought to be a jump shot away from being LeBron James. In the NBA, you can go from hero to zero rather quickly, and no one has demonstrated that more than Ben Simmons.

With the trade deadline just a few days away, we are excited to see how everything is going to play out. The Nets may very well be the team to watch, especially if KD decides he wants out. Having said that, be sure to keep it locked to HNHH for the latest news and updates from the sports world. Additionally, let us know where you think Ben Simmons should go, in the comments down below.

Kevin Durant Rumored To Be On This Team’s Radar

Kevin Durant signed with the Brooklyn Nets during the summer of 2019. As everyone already knows, he was injured at the time and missed his first full season with the team. However, he was able to come back in 2020 in the Fall, and he immediately went back to his old self. Although there were some growing pains, he and Kyrie had some amazing chemistry. Unfortunately, there was nothing but drama around the team. Whether it be the James Harden for Ben Simmons trade or the Kyrie situation, things never felt stable out in Brooklyn.

Subsequently, things have only gotten worse. On Sunday, the Nets traded Kyrie to the Dallas Mavericks following a trade request. This request came on Friday, and it immediately shook up the entire NBA. Overall, the Nets saw this coming, and they made the move that best helps their team moving forward. Now, there is a huge question mark surrounding KD. For instance, no one knows how he feels about the Kyrie trade. At this point, he could very well request a trade as well.

Kevin Durant On The Move?

Today on First Take, Stephen A. Smith and the entire panel spoke about Kevin Durant’s future. As you can imagine, many find the Nets’ future to be quite bleak. Consequently, Smith seems to have sources telling him that KD could very well be with a rival team by the end of the week. The team in question just so happens to be the Boston Celtics. This is a rumor that was prevalent in the summer when KD had a trade request of his own. Although, some don’t believe this could ever happen. That said, Smith believes it would take Jaylen Brown in order to get any potential deal done.

It feels unlikely that the Nets would ever give up KD to the Celtics. Not to mention, the Celtics have the best duo in the league with Jayson Tatum and Brown. Breaking that up would be a massive risk, and it doesn’t seem like it would be worth it, especially since KD is turning 35 later this year. Either way, this is a developing story, so stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the basketball world.

Clippers Offered This Package For Kyrie Irving

Just last week, Kyrie Irving told the Brooklyn Nets that he no longer wanted to be on the team. Originally, Irving was excited to potentially return on a long-term deal. However, his tone quickly changed after the Nets hit him with a deal that contained some unique stipulations. Overall, Kyrie was downright insulted by it all and opted to demand a trade. Moreover, he told the Nets that if he were to not be traded, he would just walk in free agency.

For the Nets, trading Kyrie was an easy decision. You never want to lose a player as talented as Kyrie for absolutely nothing. Furthermore, there are a ton of desperate teams out there who would pay a lot of assets for Kyrie. The team who ultimately won this bidding war was the Dallas Mavericks. They gave up Spencer Dinwiddie, Dorian Finney-Smith, a first-round pick, and two second-round picks. As it turns out, the Nets liked this deal the most as it allows them to remain competitive in the immediate future. However, teams like the Los Angeles Clippers ultimately got the short end of the deal.

Clippers Lose Out

According to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, the Clippers had an interesting package for the Nets. This included Luke Kennard, Terance Mann, a first-round pick, and two more second-round pick swaps. While this is a very solid offer, the Nets simply preferred what the Mavericks were giving up. For the Clippers, this was a deal that made sense given the fact that John Wall hasn’t been the point guard they were hoping him to be.

Overall, the Nets’ situation has been very interesting to track. Irving caused all kinds of issues in Brooklyn, and it was only a matter of time before this happened. Despite things appearing to be resolved, the Nets are now down to Kevin Durant and a diminished Ben Simmons. Only time will tell whether or not they can get it together in time for the postseason. Stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news from around the sports world.
