Ime Udoka Reportedly Being Considered By This Team

Ime Udoka was definitely one of the best coaches in the entire NBA last season. Overall, in just his first season with the Celtics, he was able to take his team all the way to the NBA Finals. In the end, the Celtics were unable to get it done, although they were two games away from winning it all. Subsequently, Udoka was embroiled in a massive controversy. According to reports, he had a relationship with someone who worked for the team. Moreover, he was clowned on social media as he basically got called out for cheating on Nia Long.

Udoka was consequently suspended by the Celtics for an entire year. Since then, the Celtics have hired his replacement on a full-time basis. This basically means that Udoka is no longer with the team. However, throughout the year, there has been interest from other teams in regard to Udoka. In fact, one Eastern Conference team who just fired their head coach seems to be one of the more likely suitors to land Udoka. Albeit, a lot has to be worked out first.

Ime Udoka To The Hawks?

That team is none other than the Atlanta Hawks. According to Marc Stein, the team just fired Nate McMillan, and Udoka is someone who could certainly fill in for that role. He did a great job with a young Celtics team, and the even younger Hawks could benefit from his direction. However, it seems like Udoka isn’t their frontrunner, at least for right now. Earlier today, the team met with former Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder. Snyder is another name that has been floating around, with plenty of teams showing interest.

At this point, Udoka’s NBA future remains up in the air. However, there are still a lot of teams out there who will need coaches come the offseason. When that time comes, we’re sure he will get plenty more looks. Although his reputation is damaged, for many of these teams, results are what comes first. Let us know where you would like to see Udoka coach, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world.

Trae Young Blamed After Hawks Fire Head Coach

Trae Young is easily one of the best point guards in the entire NBA. However, he has certainly had his fair share of issues throughout the season. Ultimately, these issues have seemingly been due to head coach Nate McMillan. Overall, there have been numerous times in which these two have clashed with one another. Moreover, it has led to reports that the Hawks would fire McMillan. In fact, there was a sense that McMillan could even step down on his own. Needless to say, not a good look for Young.

This season has not been great for the Hawks. They are a team that is most likely going to participate in the play-in round. Overall, this is not great when you consider how the Hawks made it to the Eastern Conference Finals just a few years ago. It was believed that the Hawks could help run the East for years. Furthermore, the addition of Dejounte Murray had many believing in this team’s backcourt. However, after a stretch of mediocre performances, the Hawks decided to officially fire Nate McMillan on Tuesday night.

Hawks Fire McMillan

This is one of those decisions that everyone saw coming. Now, there are plenty of names being considered for the Hawks job. Although fans really want Ime Udoka to step in, it seems clear that he will not be considered. Instead, the Hawks are tasked with finding someone who can work well alongside Trae Young. Unfortunately for Young, he is being seen as the scapegoat for McMillan’s firing. After seeing multiple coaches get fired during Young’s short tenure with the team, he is being labeled as a “Coach Killer.”

In the tweets down below, you can see plenty of memes and comments suggesting he is directly responsible for his team’s recent decision. In fact, former NBA coach George Karl even weighed in, saying “It’s a Trae Young vs a Nikola Jokic League. Me first vs We first.” This is a bad reputation to have, and Young will have to work very hard to get rid of it. Let us know what you think of this situation, in the comments section down below.

Nate McMillan has been fired from the head coaching spot of the Atlanta Hawks. The team will now look for a replacement, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, former Utah Jazz coach Quin Snyder tops the list.

Currently, the Hawks sit at 29-30 in the East and will play under interim head coach Joe Prunty.

The initial belief was a split of the team and coach this summer, but with a potential playoff run in mind, the team jump-started the coaching search.

This is the Hawks’ second important leadership change this season. Travis Schlenk stepped down as president of basketball operations on December 21, allowing Landry Fields to become the franchise’s main basketball decision-maker.

During his tenure, McMillan had a 99-80 record.

Kyle Kuzma Gaining Interest From These Three Teams

When Kyle Kuzma was traded to the Washington Wizards, there was no guarantee that he would land on his feet. After all, his final season in Los Angeles was a difficult one. Overall, he had flashes of brilliance here and there. However, the team was treating him like a lower-tier option which led to some questionable play.

As a member of the Wizards, Kuzma has been simply incredible. His career has been rejuvenated, and he is on track to get a huge contract at the end of the season. The Wizards are reportedly interested in giving him that money, although there is a chance he goes somewhere else.

Kyle Kuzma At The Deadline

If Kuzma won’t sign with the Wizards, their best bet is to trade him right now. As you can imagine, there are quite a few teams out there who would love his services. According to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, one of those teams was the Los Angeles Lakers.

However, they have already acquired Rui Hachimura. That said, three other teams have emerged for Kuzma. Those squads are the Atlanta Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, and the Phoenix Suns. All three of these teams could use upgrades, and Kuzma would certainly thrive in these situations.

If any team truly needs him right now, it would be the Dallas Mavericks. Luka Doncic needs a lot of help, and having Kuzma would put them in a very nice position.

Trae Young Comes To Boosie’s Defense

During his time with the Atlanta Hawks, Trae Young has seen some very famous people sitting courtside. Overall, Atlanta is a huge hub for hip-hop. As a result, you should be able to deduce that tons of rappers are typically sitting courtside at the games.

One of those artists is none other than Boosie Badazz. Over the years, he has been a staple of Hawks games, and the fans love to see him there. However, it appears as though Boosie’s fandom could be under attack as he recently took to social media with a distressing message.

Below, you can see Boosie explain a recent interaction he had with NBA security. Simply put, they told him that if he continued to talk trash at the players and coaches, he would be removed from the arena for good. Needless to say, the NBA came with a real threat.

Trae Young Responds

Young doesn’t appreciate this treatment of Boosie as he took to Twitter with a measured response. Basically, Trae Young believes Boosie isn’t saying anything that egregious. In fact, Young believes people have gotten away with way worse.

“Nahhh man we not gonna do this to Boosie now.. Bro be chillin most games with family,” Young said. “Heard 11x worse things being said to players & coaches then how he be talkin. Lol Thanks for the support! @BOOSIEOFFICIAL

Young is the defacto captain of the Atlanta Hawks, which makes him the perfect person to speak out on this topic. He has experience with the fans, and if he says Boosie isn’t doing anything crazy, then the league should take his word for it.

Trae Young Could Reportedly Ask Out Of Atlanta

Trae Young has consistently been one of the best young point guards in the entire NBA. As a member of the Atlanta Hawks, Young has helped carry the team to an Eastern Conference Finals appearance. Unfortunately, the Hawks lost that series to the eventual champions, the Milwaukee Bucks.

Overall, Young has been a huge success for the Hawks. However, since that playoff run, they have been mediocre. This year was supposed to be special, especially after the addition of Dejounte Murray. Instead, the team is 16-16, which isn’t exactly anything to write home about.

Trae Young Vs. Nate McMillan

Throughout this season, there has seemingly been some beef between Young and Hawks head coach Nate McMillan. On numerous occasions, the two have gotten into some spats. According to some reports, Young and McMillan do not like each other at all. Furthermore, some teammates don’t like Young, although these are mostly just rumors.

Now, a report from Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report spells out potential trouble for the Hawks. Simply put, Young feels like the team is underachieving, and could even ask for a trade. Despite the addition of Murray, the Hawks still aren’t a top-tier team out East, and that is causing some second-guessing from the star.

A Young trade would be disastrous for the franchise as it would put them back at square one. They already went through a rebuild, and the fans don’t really want them to go through yet another.

Boosie Badazz x DeMar DeRozan

That is exactly what took place on Wednesday night as Boosie was sitting courtside at a Hawks game. The Chicago Bulls were in town, and in the end, the Bulls came away with the victory. Overall, it wasn’t the result Boosie probably wanted, however, he did get a huge gift out of it.

In the Instagram post down below, you can see Boosie standing next to DeMar DeRozan of the Bulls. The two had big smiles on their faces, with DeMar gifting the artist a signed jersey. Boosie was extremely happy about his gift, and it led to him dancing throughout the hallways of the State Farm Arena.

DJ Khaled Was Sent Back To His Courtside Seat After He Airballed A Shot During The Miami Heat’s Game

DJ Khaled is always full of energy, at least when he’s in the public eye. It’s clear through his enthusiastic skits on his albums like Khaled Khaled or one-off collaborations like Latto’s “Big Energy” remix with Mariah. There are also his social media videos and behind-the-scenes clips with friends and other celebrities. Nowadays, Khaled has plenty to celebrate as he recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. He accepted the honor with Diddy, Fat Joe, and Jay-Z beside him during the ceremony last week. Khaled seems to still be in a celebratory mood, and the high energy that comes on was on full display during the Miami Heat’s recent playoff game.

On Sunday, the Miami Heat kicked off the first round of the NBA playoffs with a Game 1 matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. DJ Khaled was in attendance at the game as he sat courtside with his family. During a break in the game’s action, Khaled decided to leave his seat and walk onto the court in order to grab a ball and attempt a three-pointer. Despite the ambitious attempt, the shot was a complete airball, and soon enough, a security guard arrived to send him back to his seat.

While the airball might have been disappointing to Khaled, his Miami heat did win the playoff game by a score of 115-91. This is also not Khaled’s first attempt at some on-court action. Back in February, he tried his hand at the Skills Challenge obstacle course for the NBA’s All-Star Weekend. This also resulted in an airball from Khaled, but he made up for it by sinking his following shot.

You can check out Khaled’s airball from Game 1 in the video above.

JAY-Z Watches Courtside as the Atlanta Hawks Beat the Charlotte Hornets in NBA Play-In Game

To say Jay-Z has an interest in sports would be an understatement. His Roc Nation Sports represents a ton of new talent in all sports. And in the battle between the Atlanta Hawks and Charlotte Hornets, Jay-Z had two clients playing, both on the Hornets; LaMelo Ball and P.J Washington.

Like last night at the Nets game, Jay-Z sat court-side to watch the game. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a good one for the Roc Nation clients. The Hawks blew out the Hornets 132-103 in State Farm Arena.

Trae Young scored 24 points, dished out 11 assists, and spoke about playing in front of superstars like Jay.

Hov’s clients stuffed the stat sheet despite a losing effort from the Charlotte Hornets. La’Melo Ball finished with 26 points and eight assists. Meanwhile, P.J. Washington finished with 17 points and six rebounds.

The Hawks have advanced and will play the Cleveland Cavilers on Friday night for the 8th and final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs. For the Hornets and Hov’s clients, the season is over.
