Last week, 2K Foundations partnered with WNBA champion Ariel Atkins, her foundation, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington, and The Youth Entrepreneur Institute to unveil a new Entrepreneurship and Apparel Making program for D.C. area youth. The program features STE(A)M workshops and guest speaker sessions.

“I’m thrilled to partner with 2K Foundations, bringing the Entrepreneurship and Apparel Making program to life,” said Atkins. “It’s an impactful opportunity to empower the next generation to unleash their entrepreneurial spirit, nurture their business development skills, and foster their creativity, and it’s exciting to make this possible for young minds.”

The six-week summer course aims to nurture creative business development, culminating in a pitch event on July 12 at Washington D.C.’s KidBizCON, where participants will present their ideas to high-level judges, including Atkins. Winners will receive grant money to turn their ideas into reality.

The program’s mission is to ignite dreams and build futures through a fun and informative journey from business idea conception to market sales, directly investing in the potential of underserved communities.
