The remarkable journey of the two late hip-hop legends continues to captivate fans and collectors alike. Now, two extraordinary items from these rap legends have made their way to the market, ready to find new homes.

The memorabilia listed on momentsintime.com consists of fingerprints procured from arrest reports, shedding light on previously untold chapters of Tupac and Biggie’s lives.

Incarcerated In 1995: Tupac

Tupac’s fingerprint piece originates from his arrest in 1995, during which he was incarcerated for sexual assault. Under his real name, Lesane Parish Crooks, the infamous rapper spent inmate months behind bars at the Clinton Correctional Facility.

These fingerprints, forever etched on the arrest report, offer a tangible connection to Tupac’s tumultuous past and the consequences he faced.

Incarcerated In 1995: Biggie

Similarly, Biggie’s fingerprints stem from his arrest in 1995, encompassing charges of robbery and aggravated assault. Although the robbery accusations were ultimately dropped, this moment in the late rapper’s life left an indelible mark.

Tupac Shakur’s Rare Prison ID & Booking Photo Hit The Auction Block

The late rap icon Tupac Shakur’s memorabilia is again in the spotlight. Two rare items, including his prison ID card and booking photo from his 1995 incarceration at Clinton Correctional Facility, have hit the auction block, available for sale online.

Up For Auction

Tupac Shakur continues to auction off. Now, two rare items from his past are making headlines as they go up for auction.

These items include the late rap legend’s prison ID card and his booking photo, both of which were obtained during his incarceration at Clinton Correctional Facility in 1995 when he was serving time after being convicted of sexual abuse. The items are now up for sale at Momentsintime.com.

The auction provides an opportunity for fans to own a tangible piece of Tupac’s history, with the photo carrying a price tag of $35,000 and the prison ID going for $75,000. As an added bonus, the eventual buyer will also receive a note penned by Tupac himself when he requested a replacement for his lost ID card.

The note bears his signature and a simple message: “I lost my ID and need a new one. Thank you.”

Rap History In High Demand?

It is worth noting that these items were initially given to a family member of the late All Eyez On Me artist upon his release from prison. Over the years, they have changed hands among collectors before ending up with the current seller.

This isn’t the first time Tupac’s prison ID has garnered attention; another one of his ID cards was auctioned off for $30,000 in 2019, following an initial bid of just $2,000.

Interestingly, this recent auction follows an earlier sale in which mugshots of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. were up for grabs. It seems that pieces of rap history are increasingly in demand among collectors and fans alike, eager to own a tangible connection to these renowned artists.

Rare Collectibles: Never-Before-Seen Mugshots Of The Notorious B.I.G. & Tupac Hit The Auction Block

Classic collectibles from the late rap legends, The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur, are set to go up for auction, including never-before-seen mugshots. The hip-hop auction organized by “Gotta Have Rock and Roll” will showcase many priceless memorabilia from the golden rap era.

Remembering Legends

The highly-anticipated hip-hop auction organized by “Gotta Have Rock and Roll” is slated to kick off on October 25, showcasing an array of priceless memorabilia from the golden era of rap. Enthusiasts can bid on remarkable items such as signed albums from iconic groups like N.W.A. and the Beastie Boys

However, the event’s highlight is undoubtedly the exclusive collection of artifacts connected to the two rap legends. Among these coveted items are never-before-seen mugshots of both legendary artists.

The mugshot of Tupac was captured on October 12, 1995, at the Clinton Correctional Facility, marking the day he was released on bail. Conversely, Biggie’s mugshot, taken in 1996, raises questions regarding the specific incident it relates to.

Thank You Letters

In addition to the mugshots, the auction includes a thank you note from Biggie to a person named “Megan,” expressing gratitude for a phone call.

Similar appreciation was extended to someone named “Teddy” on another occasion. These unique glimpses into the lives of the rap icons offer a profound connection for fans and collectors.

Anticipation surrounds the potential sale prices for these one-of-a-kind items. The rare mugshots of Biggie and Tupac are expected to fetch between $20,000 to $40,000 each, reflecting the immense value placed on preserving their legacy. Adding to the excitement, footage from Biggie’s final performance in Jamaica is estimated to reach $1 million.

Tupac’s BMW

In another auction of notable hip-hop memorabilia, the black BMW in which Tupac was fatally shot generated immense interest and bidding, reaching as high as $1.75 million in August 2023. This high-profile sale emphasizes the enduring fascination with items connected to the rap icon.

Another development related to the mysteries surrounding Tupac’s death involves the recent arrest of Duane “Keefe D” Davis for his alleged involvement in the murder. A resurfaced clip in 2008 features Keefe D claiming that he was in the car during the shooting and implicating Diddy in the incident.

YNW Melly’s Murder Trial

While Keefe D remains in custody in relation to the murder of Tupac, another musician, YNW Melly, is currently embroiled in a murder case of his own. The 24-year-old rapper from Florida faces accusations of killing his two friends in October 2018. Despite a mistrial in his first trial, Melly managed to avoid the death penalty as the legal proceedings continued.

Suge Knight Implies That Snoop Dogg Is Connected To 2pac’s Murder

Suge Knight’s new podcast Collect Call is only a few episodes deep and it’s already dropped some bombshells. Every episode has contained numerous revelations from the currently incarcerated rap mogul. One of the most frequent topics of discussion has been 2pac. Suge has opened up on how they first formed a working relationship and detailed interactions they had throughout their involvement.

He’s also commented on 2pac’s murder, which is relevant in the news right now due to the arrest of Keefe D for his involvement in the murder. But in the newest episode, Suge may have made his most explosive allegations yet. He claims that Snoop Dogg may have had something to do with the events that led to Pac’s murder, or even the murder itself. The conversation began with a question about Diddy’s involvement, but Suge shifted it quickly. “As far as the Puffy situation, I really, really, really gotta have a real conversation with Snoop. I knew that ‘Pac did everything right by him by putting him on All Eyez On Me, speaking about him and being real with him. And if it’s true what they say, face-to-face it’s gonna be a lot of explaining to do,” Suge explained. Check out the full new episode of the podcast below.

Suge Knight Says Snoop Dogg Has “Explaining To Do”

On an earlier episode of Collect Call, Suge refuted a story that Warren G told about his role in freeing 2pac from prison. Suge went even further to claim that Warren G and 2pac never liked each other. In a later episode, he told the story of the anonymous woman who reached out to him every day to use his resources to help free Pac.

In another segment from the podcast, Suge claimed that he once took the fall for Dr. Dre on a serious gun charge. The charge could have put Dre away for quite a while but Suge took the hit so the rapper could keep working. What do you think of Suge Knight suggesting that Snoop Dogg might be in some way connected to 2pac’s murder? Let us know in the comment section below.

28 Years Later: Tupac’s ‘Dear Mama’ Faces Copyright Infringement Claims

Tupac - Dear Mama

The timeless classic “Dear Mama” by Tupac Shakur is now at the center of a copyright infringement lawsuit. Master Tee, a co-producer of the track, has accused a producer, Interscope Records, and Universal Music Group of allegedly withholding additional publishing royalties.

‘Master Tee Gave Me The Beat’

According to a report from Music Business Worldwide, Master Tee, also known as Terence Thomas, alleges that he not only co-produced “Dear Mama” but also co-wrote and co-published the iconic song.

Thomas has accused producer Tony D. Pizarro, Interscope Records, and Universal Music Group of allegedly withholding additional publishing royalties. He claims that Tupac had confirmed his credits for co-writing and co-publishing account, with “hand-written credits,” and a 1996 interview, where the late rapper allegedly stated:

“Master Tee gave me the beat.”

In the filing, Master Tee is characterized as a NYC bus driver for 26 years who is “not a sophisticated business person.” The lawsuit characterizes the defendants as a “self-serving group” that misappropriated Master Tee’s publishing and master recording copyrights.

‘Dear Mama’

“Dear Mama” served as the lead single for Tupac’s 1995 album, Me Against the World, and has gained recognition as one of three hip-hop tracks added to the Library of Congress

The legal complaint also includes networks such as Hulu, FX Networks, and Disney as defendants due to the release of the Emmynominated docuseries, Dear Mama, in 2023. Additionally, the docuseries has also been granted a Grammy nod for “Best Music Film,” making this Tupac’s second Grammy nomination.

In his legal action, Master Tee is seeking royalties that he believes are owed to him, alongside damages for “copy infringement, unjust enrichment, and theft of intellectual property.” Additionally, Master Tee is asking for an injunction to halt the collection of any further royalties from the song until the lawsuit is resolved.

NLE Choppa Faces Copyright Infringement Claims

Copy infringement lawsuits have become prevalent in the music industry, as artists continue to face legal battles over the unlicensed use of elements in their songs. Rapper NLE Choppa recently found himself entangled in a copyright infringement lawsuit over his 2020 hit song, “Who TF Up In My Trap,” as Rodney O alleged that “unauthorized elements” from his 1987 song, “Everlasting Bass,” were used.
