Big30 Demands Pooh Shiesty’s Freedom In His Grimy ‘Free Shiest Life’ Video

Memphis rapper Big30 has been building his buzz over the past several months, thanks to some high-profile collaborations with his fellow Bluff City natives Moneybagg Yo and Pooh Shiesty, as well as a big-name co-sign from Atlanta trap rap godfather Gucci Mane. Today, he’s released his debut album, King Of KillBranch, as well as the grimy video for album single “Free Shiest Life” featuring the aforementioned Pooh Shiesty.

The song holds special significance as Pooh Shiesty is currently awaiting trial on a pair of cases, both involving shootings the “Back In Blood” rapper allegedly committed in the span of a year. In one case, he’s charged with aggravated battery after supposedly firing his gun in a packed club, hitting a security guard in the leg. While Pooh’s lawyers produced a statement from the victim recanting his initial police statement, Pooh was still denied bond. Then, in a stroke of just awful luck for the 2021 XXL Freshman, Pooh’s Instagram implicated him in a Miami robbery in which the victim was shot in the buttocks during a weed and sneaker deal gone awry. He was denied bail in that case, as well.

Meanwhile, Big30 seems deadset on keeping the next wave of Memphis trap rappers at the forefront of hip-hop with his new album, which contains multiple Pooh Shiesty features, two Moneybagg Yo features, an appearance from Yo Gotti, and cross-regional collaborations with Lil Durk, Quavo, and Offset.

Pooh Shiesty Has Reportedly Been Arrested On A Charge Of Aggravated Battery

Gucci Mane’s label has suffered another blow after his artist Foogiano was sentenced to five years in prison for skipping bail last month. This time, it’s 21-year-old supernova Pooh Shiesty — aka Lontrell Williams — in the hot seat, according to The Miami Herald, which reports that Shiesty was arrested for aggravated battery in connection with a shooting at the Miami nightclub King Of Diamonds over Memorial Day weekend.

Complex‘s report on the arrest partially reconstructs the events in question, with social media video purportedly depicting the “Back In Blood” rapper at the club while the person apparently filming narrates. According to the clubgoer’s commentary, someone “took” Shiesty’s money, leading to a second clip in which the commenter loudly claims “Pooh Shiesty let off in a jacker’s b*tch ass” — meaning the rapper apparently shot at someone. The final clip does show someone who looks to be the rapper — although he’s wearing a ski mask, he was the focus of the prior videos — exiting the club holding something that certainly appears to be a handgun.

According to Miami Herald, the rapper did turn himself in on Tuesday. The Herald obtained an arrest warrant which said Shiesty shot a security guard in the leg.

Gucci Mane’s Artist Foogiano Has Been Sentenced To Five Years In Prison For Skipping House Arrest

Gucci Mane’s New 1017 Records roster is a man down after Foogiano, best known for his single “Molly,” was sentenced to five years in prison for fleeing house arrest, according to the Athens Banner-Herald. Foogiano, whose real name is Kwame Khalil Brown, was arrested in December of 2020 for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon but he was released on $50,000 bail with the condition that he remain in Georgia and wear an ankle monitor.

However, his ankle monitor was found on the side of a road in Barrow County and Foogiano was arrested in Memphis, Tennessee on March 11 after apparently melting the monitor and disappearing. US Marshall’s apprehended him at the funeral of fellow 1017 rapper Pooh Shiesty‘s brother, waiting until the service was over before making the arrest. According to Foogiano’s attorney Brandon Lewis, the rapper had cut his ankle monitor and fled in order to attend the birth of his son, who was due around the time he disappeared.

Foogiano learned that there was an arrest warrant out for him but decided not to turn himself in. His recently born son brings his total number of children to six. He was also named along with Gucci Mane in a wrongful death lawsuit after a woman was shot to death in a nightclub where the rappers were performing.
