Cardi B shows no signs of slowing down as she kicks off the year 2024. Not only is the Bronx sensation dominating the music industry and brand deals, but she is also a force to be reckoned with in the legal realm.

Landlord Legal Trouble

Despite facing numerous lawsuits, Cardi B has managed to come out victorious in each one. Her latest legal challenge involves a lawsuit filed by a landlord claiming unpaid dues.

On December 23, 2023, Cardi B and Offset were sued by a landlord for allegedly failing to pay rent and causing significant damage to a vacation home in Beverly Hills, California. The damages, estimated to cost around $85,000, include broken furniture, burn marks, holes in walls, and scratches on various surfaces.

Defamation Lawsuit

In 2023 and prior, Cardi B has been involved in several high-profile lawsuits, all of which she has won.

Most notably, the “Bongos” rapper emerged victorious in a $4 million defamation lawsuit against gossip blogger Tasha K. Cardi B sought emotional damages and successfully proved that she had been defamed.

Tattoo Art Lawsuit

In 2022, Cardi B achieved success in a lawsuit related to tattoo cover art. Reports emerged that Kevin Michael Brophy had sued Cardi, alleging the misuse of his back tattoos for the cover art of her 2016 mixtape, Gangsta B*tch Music.

In response, Cardi counterclaimed, asserting that Brophy had harassed her for five years and had not experienced any significant inconveniences due to the artwork. Brophy sought $1.6 million in damages in his lawsuit, but ultimately, he lost the case, with the jury ruling in favor of Cardi.

Security Guard Lawsuit

In 2024, Cardi B remains steadfast in her ongoing legal dispute and is actively preparing for her upcoming trial. Most recently, the Bronx rapper has taken steps to seek the dismissal of multiple claims in a lawsuit filed by a security guard.

The security guard in question is Emani Ellis, who alleged physical assault and the use of profanities and racial slurs during an incident in 2018. The altercation happened when Ellis asked for a photo, which Cardi declined while secretly pregnant with her eldest daughter, Kulture

The lawsuit, filed in February 2020, is being contested by Cardi, who is seeking dismissal and denying any role in Ellis’s job termination. The trial is scheduled for February 1, 2024.

T.I. & Tiny Face More Legal Woes

While Cardi B continues her legal journey, hip-hop couple T.I. and Tiny Harris are facing yet another lawsuit. The couple finds themselves in hot water as they are accused of sexual assault, with new details emerging about drugging and engaging in non-consensual activities with a woman they met in a nightclub.
