Jadeveon Clowney Expected To Sign With Browns: Report

The Cleveland Browns are expected to sign Jadeveon Clowney, who will meet with the organization for a second time on Monday when they hope to reach an agreement on a deal. Clowney last visited with the team in March but did not come to terms on a contract.

Sources tell CBS Sports’ Jonathan Jones that both sides will likely settle on an agreement to bring Clowney in for the 2021 season. If he joins the Browns, he will likely lineup opposite Myles Garret, making for a disruptive pass-rushing unit.

Matt Gaetz Sought Meeting With Donald Trump, But Was Rejected: Report

Rep. Matt Gaetz reportedly sought a meeting with former President Donald Trump following the announcement of a federal investigation into sex trafficking allegations against the congressman but was turned down, according to CNN.

Harlan Hill, a spokesman for Gaetz, denied that he attempted to schedule a meeting with Trump when asked for comment by CNN.

“Rep. Gaetz was welcomed to Trump Doral this week and has not sought to meet with President Trump himself,” Hill said in a statement, adding that Gaetz has “been mostly relaxing with his fiancée this week during recess.”

Gaetz is facing accusations that he had sex with an underage girl and with other women who he paid off in violation of sex trafficking and prostitution laws. He was met with another hurdle, earlier this week, when The Daily Beast reported that Gaetz had venmo’d accused sex trafficker Joel Greenberg $900, which was then sent to a young woman.

The publication explained their findings, writing:

In two late-night Venmo transactions in May 2018, Rep. Matt Gaetz sent his friend, the accused sex trafficker Joel Greenberg, $900. The next morning, over the course of eight minutes, Greenberg used the same app to send three young women varying sums of money. In total, the transactions amounted to $900.

The memo field for the first of Gaetz’s transactions to Greenberg was titled “Test.” In the second, the Florida GOP congressman wrote “hit up ___.” But instead of a blank, Gaetz wrote a nickname for one of the recipients.

Janet Jackson’s Stylist Details Justin Timberlake’s Role In Super Bowl “Wardrobe Malfunction”

The stylist who handled Janet Jackson’s look for her 2004 Super Bowl says Justin Timberlake pushed for the infamous “wardrobe malfunction” because he wanted the show to outdo Britney Spears, Madonna, and Christina Aguilera’s performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The stylist, Wayne Scot Lukas, says that he wanted “something bigger than their performance. He wanted a reveal.”

“Janet was going to be in a Rocha dress, and [Justin] was going to step on the back of her dress to reveal her butt in this pearl G-string,” the stylist told Page Six. But instead, “the outfit changed a couple of days before, and you saw the magic.”

Lukas also said that it’s incorrect to refer to the incident as a “malfunction” as it was intentional.

“I wouldn’t call it a wardrobe ‘malfunction’ in a million years. It was the most functioning wardrobe in history. As a stylist, it did what it was intended to do,” he said.

Timberlake recently apologized for the incident, admitting that he “failed” Jackson. He also blamed the culture of the music industry, calling it “flawed.”

“Janet has already forgiven Justin in private. They made their peace a long time ago,” Lukas added.

Kyrie Irving Takes Issue With Dennis Schröder’s Use Of N-Word: “We Are Not Slaves”

Kyrie Irving called out Dennis Schröder for his use of the n-word on Twitter, following the Los Angeles Lakers‘ 126-101 win over the Brooklyn Nets, Saturday night. Both Irving and Schröder were ejected during the game.

“The N-word is a derogatory racial slur!” Irving wrote on Twitter after the game.

He explained that the word will never be a term of endearment.

“NEVER FORGET ITS FOUL AND TRUE HISTORY! Throw that N-word out the window, right alongside all of those other racist words used to describe my people,” he added. “We are not slaves or N’s”

The two point guards came to blows with 9 minutes, 41 seconds remaining in the third quarter when they exchanged tense words following a foul call on Irving. Irving appeared visibly upset with Schröder’s use of the n-word.

Schröder disagreed with the refs’ decision to eject him, telling reporters after the game that he was confused he did wrong.

“I think it was unnecessary,” Schröder said after the game. “It’s just unfortunate that I left my team out there by their self. And I mean, I don’t even know what I did; but I got kicked out, and I apologize for that just to my teammates.”

Refs said it was Schröder waving goodbye to Irving that was seen as taunting and resulted in his ejection.
