YG & Mozzy Keep It “Gangsta” With A Wicked 50 Cent Flip

Let’s be real — YG’s latest solo efforts have not been hitting. A few singles have managed to make rounds but it seemed like he may have lost that fire within himself. Thankfully, his new collaborative album with Mozzy, Kommunity Service, has pushed him outside of his comfort zone in a way, making room for one of his most thrilling efforts to date.

With the rise of nostalgic 50 Cent samples in recent rap records, Mozzy and YG deliver their take on “Wanksta” on the album’s opener. The two bring their street credentials to the table on “Gangsta” with a reinvigorated sample of the 2002 record, thanks to DaveO, Musik MajorX, and Tariq Beats. Mozzy’s laid-back, muddy vocals meet YG’s chopper flow over the luxed-out and revamped 50 sample.

Check the song out below.

Quotable Lyrics
They be like, “Damn, homie,” yeah
They took your chain and you ain’t blam, homie?
What the fuck wrong with you dudes?
I got this stick in my sweater
Play with glicky, no jammin’
Throw on my hoodie, no cameras
I poured a brick in this Fanta, then pour it out for the dead ones

Dana White Teases Fans With Michael Chandler Vs. Justin Gaethje FIght

Michael Chandler is one of the more explosive fighters in the UFC and fans always love to see him in action. Last weekend, he fought against Charles Oliveira at UFC 262 and while he ended up losing, there is no denying that he put up a solid fight and that he was a blast to see in action. With this in mind, Dana White already has big plans for Chandler’s next fight and he is currently in the midst of figuring out who deserves the next shot at him.

While speaking to TMZ Sports, White teased UFC fans with a fight that would certainly satisfy those who want to see some chaos. White noted that Justin Gaethje could be a great matchup for Chandler and while it hasn’t been confirmed, there are definitely some talks in place.

“That’s a good question. I mean, there’s a few opportunities,” White said “He can fight Gaethje, we’ll see. We don’t have anything done yet but that makes sense and that’d be a fun fight. Imagine Chandler and Gaethje.”

The last time we saw Gaethje in the octagon, he lost to Khabib Nurmagomedov who immediately retired after the fight. Gaethje is still one of the best fighters in the UFC, and a comeback fight against Chandler would be a great show to watch.

Let us know who you think would win this fight, in the comments below.

LeBron James Continues To Avoid Vaccine Questions

With COVID-19 raging on, the NBA has been very adamant about carrying out health and safety protocols. Every single day, NBA players are forced to get tested against the virus and they also must comply with social distancing orders. It’s been tough for the players although with the vaccine being rolled out all around the United States, the NBA has eased restrictions for teams who have a majority of their players vaccinated

Some players have expressed a strong desire to get the vaccine while others have avoided the topic. LeBron is among the latter group as back in March, he said the vaccine was something he would discuss with his family. Just a few weeks ago, Dennis Schroder told German media that he hadn’t gotten the vaccine and that LeBron was one of the few Lakers players who hadn’t gotten it either.

On Friday, LeBron was asked by reporters if he had plans to get the vaccine, which led to an ambiguous answer.

“Anything I do off the floor is predicated to my family, for the majority — for 99.9% of that,” James said. “So it’s about the health and safety of my family, and that’s what it came down to. Me being available to my teammates on the floor is me taking care of my body. Me doing everything I can do to make sure I’m available both mentally, physically and spiritually, as well. But anything of that nature, that’s all family talk.” This was then followed up by LeBron saying “It’s not a big deal,” when asked directly if he had gotten vaccinated.

It’s clear the vaccine is a sensitive topic for LeBron, especially since he is one of the most influential players in the league. No matter what his opinion is, it could sway people one way or the other, and for now, he has decided to be careful with what he says. In today’s social media age, you can’t really blame him.

Pooh Shiesty Strikes With Vengeance On “Murder Skool”

The 1017 squad has formed into a super unit but it’s Pooh Shiesty that’s leading the brigade. Over the past year, the rapper’s witnessed a tremendous amount of success across the world, despite a global pandemic. Shiesty Season remains one of the best rap releases of the year and like most artists, he returned with a few more tracks for the Spring Deluxe.

With an additional four songs, the rapper comes through with an eerie solo banger on “Murder Skool,” the last addition of the deluxe. FlemDawg and pablomcr cook up chilling keys and ominous 808s for Shiesty to offer a grim depiction of the streets of South Memphis.

Check out the track below and make sure you peep out Rise & Grind interview with Pooh Shiesty here.

Quotable Lyrics
Been nothin’ but trouble since a child, now I’m makin’ my mama proud
How I’ma beef with n***as rolling mid? I’m booked for Rolling Loud
I brought the MG from the Benz, hop out on you with the trey pound
And I could show you how to rob, first move, make everybody get down

LeBron James Violated NBA Rules By Attending Event With Drake: Report

Last Monday, LeBron James attended a massive event for Lobos tequila which is one of the many ventures he is currently working on. The event was attended by various big-name celebrities including Drake and Michael B. Jordan. LeBron took some photos with the people in attendance and just a few days later, he helped his Los Angeles Lakers make it to the NBA Playoffs thanks to a win over the Golden State Warriors.

With the Lakers kicking off their playoff journey on Sunday, there is already some controversy brewing as it was revealed that LeBron’s event on Monday was actually a violation of the NBA’s health and safety protocols. With COVID-19, the league has been strict with its rules and it should come as no surprise that this event was flagged by the league.

At times, players have been forced into a 10-14 day quarantine after breaking the rules. Had LeBron been punished for his actions, he would have been forced to miss the first few games of the Lakers’ first-round series against the Phoenix Suns. Instead, he has effectively been given a warning, and we’re sure he will think twice next time, especially since this is such an important moment in the season.

With Game 1 going down on Sunday at 3:30 PM ET, let us know who you think is going to win the series.

Steve Kerr Reacts To Warriors’ Crushing Play-In Loss

After losing to the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors needed a victory on Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies in order to make it to the NBA Playoffs. Last night’s game turned out to be extremely exciting as it was close up until the very end. In fact, we even got some overtime. However, it was the Grizzlies who came out victorious, and now, they will get the Utah Jazz in the first round of the playoffs.

Immediately following the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr spoke about the loss and what it means for the team moving forward. The championship-winning coach was obviously disappointed about it all although he did note that the Warriors have a lot to be proud of and they can use this as a building block for next season.

“Obviously a crushing way to go out,” Kerr said via ESPN. “Two straight games that were basically gut punches. We felt like we had control of the game the other night and lost and then really didn’t have the control of this one but could have won. We had the last shot in regulation. The ball just didn’t go our way, but we’ve had a lot of great breaks over here over the years and a lot of bad ones the last couple years, with injuries especially. All in all you have to look at this season as a success and something to build on.”

Without Klay Thompson, the Warriors have struggled over the last two seasons. Once he comes back to the court next season, the Warriors will be at full strength again and it will be interesting to see just how good they can be.

Draymond Green Clowned On Twitter After Horrendous Last-Second Shot

Last night was absolutely devastating if you are a Golden State Warriors fan. Despite finishing eighth at the end of the regular season, the Warriors ended up missing out on the playoffs after a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies in the second and final play-in game. The match was close all night long and the Warriors ultimately forced overtime, where Ja Morant and company took over and won the game.

Perhaps the worst play of the night went to Draymond Green who had an opportunity at the end to win the game. In the clip below, Green can be seen charging the net at the last second, only to miss the shot by a wide mile. This missed shot ultimately led to a playoff exit just a few minutes later.

In pure internet fashion, Green was public enemy number one for NBA Twitter. He was subjected to a ton of slander and some hilarious jokes about what went down. Fans were even saying that he could very well find himself playing overseas next season if he doesn’t get his act together on offense. Obviously, Green will still be a Warrior next year, however, there is clearly some frustration amongst fans.

As for the rest of the Warriors, this is their second-straight season missing the playoffs, and they will be happy to get Klay Thompson back next year.
