With 11 million followers and an extensive resumé under his belt, D.C. Young Fly shouldn’t have a hard time getting work in Hollywood. He’s starred in How High 2, Dead House, Grown-ish, American Soul, and of course, Wild ‘N Out, but he shared that he gets rejections just like anyone else. Coming 2 America has finally arrived and fans have been enjoying the Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall sequel over on Amazon Prime Video, and someone tweeted that D.C. Young Fly should have starred in the film. He retweeted the message and revealed he auditioned for the movie but didn’t make the cut.

“I auditioned for it 2x !!!” he wrote. “Came down to the final 3!!! Salute to who got the job tho [100 emoji]!! #PromiseMyTimeComing gotta stay hungry working and having patience.” He took a screenshot of his exchange and shared it on Instagram with a motivational caption. “#MovieGameRules you gotta work for it!! Mafukkas aint gon hand u sh*t,” said the comedian.

“And i dont want nothin handed unless its genuine and mafukkas believe in me,” he added. “I wanna take the steps the OGs took the blood,sweat, and hard work to become a #GREAT !! Its gone be roles ima have that somebody mite can play better!! It come with the game!! Lets not hate CONGRATULATE!! Cause homie was around legendz and diid his thang [100 emoji] so this is a win for #US !!! Just know im workin and im not lettin up !!”

Earlier today, a shocking story dropped out of Oklahoma concerning a high school girl’s basketball game. The game was between Norman High School and Midwest City although the whole proceeding was overshadowed by some comments made by the game’s announcer. During the National Anthem, the players for Norman High School knelt during the anthem, which led to commentator Matt Rowan going on a racist tirade where he said “They’re kneeling? F***ing n*****s. I hope Norman gets their ass kicked. F*** them. I  hope they lose. They’re gonna kneel like that?” 

Now that the incident has gone viral, Rowan is issuing an apology on the matter, although his reasoning for the outburst is raising suspicion. As you will see in the letter below, Rowan reveals that he has Type 1 Diabetes and was going through a blood pressure spike. Rowan claims these spikes can lead to his outbursts and that’s why he went off the deep end.

Despite all of these bizarre excuses, Rowan noted that there is no good reason for what he did and that he is deeply sorry to all those who were offended. Based on the apology, however, he seems more sorry that he actually got caught.

Needless to say, this man won’t be getting any broadcasting jobs, anytime soon.

Each year, the Grammy nominations kick off a new set of controversial moves from artists, but 2021’s award ceremony has launched an all-out war. The snubbing of The Weeknd is a missed opportunity that fans, artists, and industry professionals are still trying to wrap their heads around. After Hours has remained on the charts for a full year and was a No.1 charting album that became its own cinematic-style movement, and The Weeknd didn’t catch a nod in any category. The Recording Academy has long been accused of not being in touch with the culture, and in response, The Weeknd announced he planned on boycotting the ceremony for the entirety of his career and will never submit his music for consideration.

The Weeknd wasn’t the only person who has had issues with the Grammys. Fellow Canadian Justin Bieber wasn’t happy when his Changes album was nominated in various Pop categories but not in R&B. “To the Grammys, I am flattered to be acknowledged and appreciated for my artistry. I am very meticulous and intentional about my music,” Bieber shared back in November 2020. “‘Changes’ was and is an R&B album. It is not being acknowledged as an R&B album, which is very strange to me. I grew up admiring R&B music and wished to make a project that would embody that sound.”

On Thursday (March 11), Page Six reported that Bieber doesn’t plan on attending the Grammy ceremony this weekend because Changes didn’t receive the R&B recognition that he desired. The album hosted features from artists including Quavo, Kehlani, Summer Walker, and Travis Scott. Dez Bryant made his triumphant return to football last season as he played for the Baltimore Ravens. Bryant was able to put up some admirable stats and even scored a few touchdowns. In the end, Bryant demonstrated that he can still make an impact and that if your team needs some depth at wide receiver, then he is one of the best options out there.

Recently, TMZ caught up with Bryant where they asked him where he would like to go next. Bryant noted that he would be up for a Cowboys reunion if possible, however, he would really love to go play for the Arizona Cardinals, who are looking to be quite stacked heading into next season.

“I think that would be dope being next to my boy D Hop, Christian Kirk, Kyler Murray,” Bryant said. “I think they have a dope offense. I feel like they got a dope defense. I think they got a dope coach … If I had to choose, yeah, if that opportunity presented itself, I think I would take it.”

NFL free agency is in full swing right now and for now, Bryant remains on the market. He is a player with a ton of upside and there is no doubt that he will be getting phone calls sooner rather than later.

After fiercely defending her “friend” Piers Morgan following accusations that he’s made racist and misogynistic remarks, Sharon Osbourne was feeling the heat. Following Oprah Winfrey’s explosive interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Piers Morgan continued his vitriol against the former Royal couple. Morgan has continuously vocalized disdain for Markle, but he’s admitted in a past interview that he went out on a date with her many years ago but she rejected him. Morgan stated that they seemed to have a nice time and he liked her, and after leaving their date, Meghan went to a party where she met Harry and never spoke to Morgan again.

Some believe that Morgan’s ongoing criticisms of Markle are because he’s bitter, but he claims he’s the victim of “racist bullying.” When confronted over his recent comments about Markle, Morgan exited his co-hosting gig on Good Morning Britain and handed in his resignation. The Talk‘s Sharon Osbourne came to his defense and caught backlash of her own, and when she discussed it on The Talk with her co-hosts, she lashed out at Sheryl Underwood who attempted to explain to her why people were upset with Morgan.

Osbourne’s reaction garnered a scathing response from the public and other media professionals, and now she’s returned with an apology for her explosive display. “To anyone of color that I offended and/or to anyone that feels confused or let down by what I said, I am truly sorry,” wrote Osbourne. “I panicked, felt blindsided, got defensive & allowed my fear & horror of being accused of being racist take over.”
