Aaron Rodgers Rumors: Packers Change Trade Demands

The Aaron Rodgers trade saga has yet to find its ending. Rodgers has expressed his intent on being a New York Jet this upcoming season. However, the Green Bay Packers want a good return on their investment. Rodgers made his decision to seek a trade after a darkness retreat. Yes, a darkness retreat, where he found the answers he had been looking for. Both sides in the trade talks seem to be in no rush to hurry the process. However, Green Bay may be changing its tune.

Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk has revealed what he believes the Packers will receive in the trade. “I think they’re going to get a second-round pick from the Jets in this year, a second-round pick next year that can become a first-round pick depending upon what the Jets do with Aaron Rodgers this year, and on the back end, possibility that the Jets get something back from the Packers if he only plays one year, in 2025,” Florio said. While it may not be the haul Green Bay is expecting, both sides seem ready to move on.

When Will The Aaron Rodgers Trade Saga End?

Florio does seem to think that the Jets aren’t willing to give up the 13th pick in this year’s draft. The Jets may have a fear that the veteran QB will not be with the franchise long. A situation that has burnt the Jets in the past with Brett Favre. Just like Favre, the Rodgers-Packers marriage is ending in a blaze of glory. Rodgers brought the team one Super Bowl victory and countless playoff mishaps. A change of scenery could be a great decision for both.

It seems as if the Aaron Rodgers trade drama will never end. Maybe one day soon, the world will awake to the news that Rodgers is finally a Jet. Until then, the speculation will continue to grow. For a guy who claims he doesn’t want the spotlight, it seems to be on him a lot. What are your thoughts on the Aaron Rodgers trade demands? Is Green Bay asking for too much?
