Aaron Rodgers Rumors: A New Team Could Be Pursuing The QB

Aaron Rodgers has made his 2023 season demands clear. The veteran QB would like to become a member of the New York Jets. As Rodgers’s current team, the Packers, continue working with the Jets on a deal. Another team may soon enter the Rodgers sweepstakes. It is being reported that the San Francisco 49ers are rumored to be interested in adding the former MVP. If these reports are true, this would be a welcomed surprise to Rodgers. As the former California native always said, his favorite team growing up was the 49ers.

Craig Carton of The Carton Show claims the 49ers are ready to pursue Rodgers. This news comes as a big surprise since everyone believes Rodgers is bound for New York. However, the rumor would make sense. The 49ers have moved on from starting QB Jimmy Garrappolo. While the team states they have faith in Brock Purdy, the opportunity to land Rodgers has to be tempting. The 49ers have seemingly been a QB away from earning that long-awaited return to being a Super Bowl champion. Rodgers could be the potential move to make the dream a reality.

Would Aaron Rodgers Be Interested In San Francisco?

While the idea of Aaron Rodgers going to San Francisco may sound good. You must remember that any Rodgers move involves the Packers having the final say. Green Bay must be willing to trade Rodgers to his next home. It is highly unlikely that the Packers would want to see Rodgers stay in the NFC. However, the hold-up between the Packers and Jets striking a deal has been the return for Green Bay. If San Francisco offered the right pieces, maybe Green Bay would rethink its strategy.

A Rodgers-49ers union seems like a great way for the future Hall-of-Famer to finish his career. Getting to play for his childhood team would be something dreams are made of. However, I wouldn’t be ready to ship the happy couple at the moment. It still feels as if the Jets are going to be the landing spot for Rodgers. But don’t count out the Packers taking the best offer on the table. For more of the latest NFL news, stay with us here at HNHH.
