The Denver Nuggets will be shorthanded for a while after their power forward Aaron Gordon will miss time due to wounds from a dog attack.
According to ESPN, Gordon was bitten on the face and right shooting hand by his family’s dog. Gordon is listed as in “good condition” but will not be with the team, and there is no current timetable for his return.
“Obviously, a very traumatic experience and the most important thing I told him is that you take as much time as you need,” said Nuggets coach Michael Malone. “We’re a family — wins, losses, and when people go through tough times like Aaron’s going through right now.”
“He just uplifts everybody that comes in when he’s around them,” teammate Kentavious Caldwell-Pope said. “We’ve got to do the same for him.”
For the season, Gordon has averaged 13.6 points and 6.9 rebounds.
