Tekashi 6ix9ine remains exiled from the hip-hop community, at least in America. The rapper hasn’t really performed any shows in the States recently while his latest musical outings have been more infused with Latin sounds. And while his Spanish-language singles have apparently made a splash in the Latin world, they haven’t necessarily gained significant traction in the states. However, it seems as though the international market is where the bag is at for him these days.
The rainbow-haired rapper took his talents to the Netherlands this weekend for Freshtival. On Saturday, the rapper performed in front of a massive crowd where he dived into some of his biggest hits. Although fans did seem excited to see the notorious figure in the flesh, his attempt to stage dive didn’t necessarily play out the way he wanted it to. Otherwise, it seems like it could be the beginning of 6ix9ine’s formal return to the stage. “40,000 NETHERLANDS THANK YOU I LOVE YOU WHERE SHOULD I COME TO NEXT ?????????? COMMENT YOUR COUNTRY,” he captioned the post, along with a number of flags including Canada and Jamaica.
Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Return
Overall, it seems like Tekashi is still finding success in Europe these days. Besides his recently concert in the Netherlands, he recently performed in Romania. A clip of him performing his collab with Nicki Minaj, “Fefe” surfaced shortly after. Earlier this year, 6ix9ine also announced that he would be performing in Israel. Although he hasn’t announced any shows as of late, Bandsintown reports that his next scheduled performance will be in Denmark on October 27th.
Even though Tekashi 6ix9ine appears to be able to book shows again, things haven’t necessarily been entirely smooth for him this year. Earlier this year, the rapper got jumped while working out at a Florida gym. Footage emerged of three individuals entering an L.A. Fitness before attacking him inside of the gym’s sauna and bloodying his face. Ultimately, 6ix9ine used the moment to create even more viral content in response to the situation.
