Model Mikaela Lafuente just let Kanye West have it for allegedly sending her “inappropriate” direct messages on Instagram even though he’s married to Bianca Censori.
Recently Lafuente openly criticized West for inviting her to “hang out” and listen to his album. Lafuente, 22, shared screenshots of their chat and expressed her disapproval, emphasizing that “cheating is unacceptable.” Really? Pull up and listen to my album? If true, lame behavior. Sorry had to call it what it is.
Lafuente’s remarks come in the wake of lawsuits filed against West by former Yeezy employees, who accuse him of fostering a toxic work environment and failing to pay wages.
Lafuente told the Daily Mail – you know they got the scoop – that she was surprised by West’s messages, noting that they had never interacted before. She found the Grammy award-winner’s approach inappropriate for several reasons, including the significant age difference—West is 47, more than twice her age.
“I don’t think it’s acceptable to be messaging other women when you’re married,” Lafuente said, highlighting the inappropriateness of the messages, especially considering West’s marital status. “It’s not acceptable and it’s something I’d stand behind forever.”
Get this, Lafuente further elaborated on her views regarding infidelity, stating, “I’ve grown up with all my family being with their partners forever and this is what I want for my relationship. Monogamy is what is accepted and cheating is unacceptable.”
The popular model also was curious if West might be sending similar messages to other women, despite his marriage to Bianca Censori. “If he texts other girls, I know I said no, but others might not. I do not support it,” Lafuente said. “Maybe they (West and Censori) have an agreement and Bianca knows about it and is cool with it, but we will never know this.”
Lafuente’s firm stance against infidelity and her decision to speak out against West’s behavior underscore her commitment to her principles regarding relationships and monogamy. If only more women and men felt the same then perhaps we’d have a less toxic society.
